The importance is that by restricting the amount of energy delivered and then charging by the minute EVgo is gouging its members. It is far better to find another charging company if you want a fair price. I contacted EVgo about this and three different customer service people provided me with the wrong information for the member plans in Oregon, compared to what is on the website. Beware.
