There are departmental store like JC Penny, Macy's, Nordstrom and a huge Dick's store. Few other unique places to me were Din Tai Fung and 85C Bakery Cafe. It's popular destination for tourists' shopping since there's no sales tax. The common spaces are wide, clean and have lots of open sky windows. There are plenty of sitting spots available as well for guests. We were in the mall for about 5 hours. We shopped in the Lego store, Tumi, VS, Dick's, 85C Bakery, and BoxLunch. We had friendly interactions from staff members in the all the stores. We also went to the food court on second floor, which was underwhelming compared to rest of the mall. The dining space had old tiles on the floor, the chair and tables were basic ones. There were 10-12 stores available offering a variety of cuisines. The food was decent from couple of stores we tried. Prices were little bit expensive. Overall we had wonderful half day spent shopping and dining at this mall. There was a good mix of popular and luxurious brands, offering wide range of products. The food court could use some facelift to match with rest of the wonderful interior of the mall.

I fell in love with boba tea almost 15 years ago when I taught at The Transfiguration School on Confucius Plz and since then, I try having it nearly everywhere I go. So when my daughter suggested we come here after a non-stop day of coffee table window shopping for her apartment during my Easter Break '24, this was the pause we seriously needed. Sharetea has an edgy and raw layout with concrete floors, cement-looking wall tiles and other industrial style touches. This is the place to chitchat with friends, family- like my daughter and I did- or even get a tea solo. But do know that when the queue is big, don't despair- it flows. In fact, when we were here, timing was on our side because it seems as if Sharetea rented(?) a small space upfront to a mini crotchet accessory pop-up shop run by a local artisan. I was loving it because as my kid and I waited for our drinks, I purchased 2 crotchet flower hair pins nicely priced. As far as our drinks go, our usual go-to flavors were insanely delicious.

I went with a simple hot green tea with 30% sweetness. Perfectly average drink. The chairs had cracked upholstery on a majority of them.

Let's dive into what was less than ideal here. It was several minutes before I was greeted by staff, they were busy with DoorDash orders and making waffle cones. Immediate turn off. There was an older woman running around micromanaging the staff and from what I gathered from a regular who walked in (after me), grabbed a pint to go, and was checked out promptly, she was apparently the owner's wife. Absolutely no concern for me, waiting at the counter and neither greeted me the 5 times she walked past me nor encouraged either of her employees to come help. She also interrupted the nice young lady who was helping me to micromanage her some more. Such a disgusting way to run a business; prioritizing online vs foot traffic, micromanaging your staff, and ignoring customers. I'll likely be back because I like the flavors, but I'll pick almost any other options in the area first.

Fun themed drinks and the pastries are pretty good. The staff are fabulous and make an effort to remember you in some fashion. I didn't go for 6 weeks, walked in, and they remembered my drink and the time after my name as well. Their actions to help the community are also commendable. I have always felt welcome here and if they were closer to my apartment, I'd be there every day instead of just most weekends.

There was ample seating to suit every mood (table and chairs, comfy chairs, and comfy sofas with plenty of outlets and side tables). There's a fun and fresh local artist goods shop tucked in the front corner. It's a perfect place to find a gift for yourself or others. The menu is a nerdy dream come true. When we visited a couple of weeks ago in May, the themed drinks were Lord of the Rings and Mario. I had the Gondor, which, if I recall, may have had hazelnut and cinnamon. I DO recall that it was delish. I forgot what drink my daughter ordered, but she enjoyed it as well. I look forward to coming back and trying their London Fog, which is one of my favorite drinks and seems to have significant praise from other reviewers. We didn't get an opportunity to try the food, but look forward to in the future. One refreshing surprise is that this is a no-tip establishment. I don't recall what I paid for the drinks, but I appreciate places that charge what they need to make their business work and to (hopefully) pay their employees a living wage. Brickhaus is rooted in community and belonging, and I am here for it!
