Overall - Highly recommend for rock chips as it's a fraction of the price compared to national companies that would do the same job! Location - You cannot miss it going east on Powell, near downtown Gresham. The small private parking lot is to the right of their shop and is blocked by tall bushes - so don't let their short driveway into their shop scare you since it's right off Powell. Service - The team was friendly and got started on the rock chip repair right away - didn't even get the chance to sit down before they had me pull the car in! The quote I received from them was 66% higher than what 2 competitors came in at. That's just the start.... When I called them for a quote on new shower glass for a bathroom remodel, I was told to send pictures by email. After 4 days, I got no reply to the email. I called them back. They said they'd answer by email. In the email reply I finally received, they didn't even read the email. I was asked what color glass and hardware I wanted. (Only this was in the original email.) In all of the emails, not once did the person leave a name. When I declined the high price, I told them it was awkward that they never gave a first name, their response was: "I do 600k a month in sales. so i guess i'm doing something right." Been to Mt Hood Auto Glass twice now. Both times they were fast, friendly, and reasonably priced. First time was for my windshield (badly cracked from a rock kicked back on the freeway) a couple years ago. Then just recently for a window smashed in when my car was robbed. Both times they got me in the same day I called, and both times they repaired them quickly. They even cleaned out all the broken glass from inside on this recent one. While I hope I don't need their services again (no one wants a broken car window), if/when I do, I'll definitely return. 5/5 stars. read more

I took my 2008 Toyota Matrix in to the folks at Mt Hood Glass to repair my driver side power window had come off its track. It was previously repaired by a shade tree mechanic and had failed after a month or so. They said to bring it in and they knocked it out in a couple of hours after we dropped it off. They cleaned it perfectly replaced the regulator and even taped over the button so I wouldn't push it for 3 days. It was $325 total almost $200 less than a national chain who advertises a lot. I asked about a warranty on their work and they said. If it comes off again just bring it back. Great, fast, local and impeccable work. Highly recommended! read more

Once upon a time, a hobo cracked my windshield. I had Mt Hood replace it, which also required a calibration due to my car being a smart doohickey. They had my windshield in stock, so replacement was quick. Everyone was friendly. Weeks later, another hobo smashed my passenger side window and I had to drive home in the rain. I called Mt Hood frantically, and the only reason I didn't use them for the replacement was because I was lazy and the other company came to my house ASAP. BUT...Mt Hood answered my call past 9pm. I special ordered and waited over a year to get my car so imagine my heartbreak when my windshield cracked. Since they're right up the road, I decided to give Mt. Hood Glass a chance. After submitting a request online I got a call back in less than 30 mins. Russell was very nice and got back to me quick with a price and explained the insurance claim to me (never made an insurance claim before). They got the OEM windshield in the next afternoon and got me in the morning after. Brought my car in, the lady at the counter was very nice and got me checked in quickly. Told me it would be an hour and a half. Got a call after an hour or so and they were wrapping up. Windshield looked great and both ladies working the counter got me taken care of and out the door q. I have used Mt Hood Glass two times over the last couple years. First time at their Gresham location in 2022, I had a small ding in the panoramic roof on my Rivian truck. They were able to look at it right away without an appointment and seal up the damage with some resin, two years on an my roof is still going strong. Second time I used their new Sandy location. The rear glass in my Ioniq 5 shattered in what appeared to be some sort of thermal stress. I call them up right away Monday morning and they had my glass by 1pm and put it in the same day, I had to wait around for an hour but super happy with the service. The price was very reasonable, the quote from Safelite was nearly 40% larger. If you have glass issues in Gresham or Sandy I highly recommend Mt Hood Glass. read more

My Honda Pilot SUV front window is broken by burglar (at Columbia River waterfall parking lot). We called Mt Hood the next day on July 2nd, Karl and his assistant offered us quick help on that Saturday morning. They sealed my broken window with high quality plastic sheet (as shown in attached photo). Our quick seal plastic sheet from AutoZone can not tolerate 30 mile/hr highway driving, Mt Hood good quality seal can tolerate 60 mile/hr driving speed (I added one layer Walmart Duck tape above its edge) and allowed us reach Seattle from freeway 5 in three hours.
