Inn History Grand Canyon - Bedroom

There was some hit and miss with this stay…read more Pros: - Lodgings were absolutely gorgeous! Aesthetics were on point. - The environment was wonderful. Views were breathtaking. It was very quiet and serene. So peaceful! - Location! It was perfect as far as being just far enough away from Williams that you weren't in the hustle and bustle. But close enough that you could just run down into the grocery store or all the different activities that are close. - History: if you're into history, all the different pieces and QR codes are really neat to look at. -Ice and laundry on site: easily available, very clean, and a nice environment while waiting for laundry to be done. Mixed Reviews: - Amenities: The kitchen has everything you need for short stay but not a lot of room to work. While cooking dinner, we had to move different things around just to have enough space to prepare a meal and cook it. The website also doesn't list out the amenities so it's hard to tell what the room will or will not come with to feel prepared. -Bed: My husband and I both said this is the worst bed we ever slept on. I know many of the reviews said that it was amazing and I think it comes down to your preference of mattress. It is a memory foam so we found that when we laid in one position, we sunk deep down into it and when you went to roll to your side, you got stuck in that divot. -AC: Boy does it get the room cold! I always run cold and was very uncomfortable. My husband always runs hot and loved it. So just depends on your preference. Mostly an issue because we couldn't get it to regulate to somewhere in the middle. - Couch: It looks super cute aesthetically! And it pulls out to a sleeper bed for extra room if you're coming with more people. We were trying to sit on it and watch a movie for a quiet night in and as soon as you sit on it, the bottom part rolls out from under you, wanting to go into sleep mode. We spent more time adjusting the couch than sitting on it, making it very uncomfortable. Cons: -Check Out: They expect you to wash the dishes you use. Thankfully, we brought our own sponges because the only cleaning item they give you is a bristle brush. They also ask that you bag and dispose of your own trash. Not a huge deal as the big dumpster is right next to where you drive out. Personally, I feel like these should come with part of the cleaning after you leave though. -Cleaning: You text the cleaner when you leave. While the main room and the bedroom are very clean, the bathroom was not. The toilet had a toilet ring and there was curly hair left on the bathroom floor when we arrived from the previous person. Overall, most issues are a preference thing. The couch and the bed were really the huge issue for us that would make it where we would not come back simply out of needing a good night sleep.

Such amazing place, my husband and I came here for our mini honey moon and had a blast. The beds…read moreare comfy, the place is very clean and quiet. The cabins are so cute and peaceful! I would recommend to anyone! Bearizona is right down the road! We will be back!

A Hidden Gem in Clarkdale!…read more This little coffee shop tucked inside an old caboose train is one of the most charming and delicious spots we've ever discovered. The authenticity of the food is beyond amazing--every single thing we've tried has been packed with flavor and made with so much care. We make it a point to come here every time we're in town, and it never disappoints. Yes, the line can get long, but that's always a good sign--and trust me, it's totally worth the wait. There's something so special about this hole-in-the-wall gem. It has the kind of character and warmth you just can't replicate. We love Violettes!! We ate our food too fast so no pics of the food! Our favorites are the spinach quiche and the cinnamon roll on Thurs/Sat. :) I love this place deeply and truly hope it sticks around for a very, very, very, very long time--because I plan to retire here one day, and this caboose café is a part of that dream!

Cute little cafe, and I thought ordering in the caboose was unique. My biggest gripe is that there…read morewere no prices for any of the sandwiches or pastries. Fortunately they weren't too expensive ($15 for a sandwich and pastry) but would be nice to have the prices listed. The sandwich was alright, though I wasn't the biggest fan of the turkey. The pastry was also alright, but I would probably pass on it if I came again. Service was good and the dining area is pleasant. The line can be a bit long but overall I had a good experience.

And to even have a show that's on the roof rooftop with heated seats explaining about the moon an while we were there saw at least five shooting stars as the gentleman was talking. We pre-paid for our tickets (which are non-refundable), and had no choice but to go on the only day we were in Flagstaff... when it rained. The big clue should have been us driving into an absolutely empty parking lot. Most of the cool experiences in Lowell are weather-dependent. We couldn't look through the large telescopes because of the overcast. The observatory show (and many of the outdoor shows) were canceled. All the things that make the high admission price tag worth it just weren't possible. With that said, there aren't many indoor, inclement-weather-friendly activities at the observatory, which made for a fairly boring experience. We walked around for an hour, and then just left. The Lowell Observatory needs to expand in my opinion or offer discounted rates for days when most of its experiences are closed. Positive notes... the drive up to the observatory is very pretty. They have an awesome gift shop. And you can see the telescope that discovered Pluto.
