Today was the second time I called Electro-Integrity. Todor is reliable, reasonable, punctual, knowledgeable, quick to respond and pleasant to deal with. Yesterday our electrical panel went haywire and was giving intermittent power to our washer and dryer (in a 5 unit building this is a BIG deal). Left Todor a message, he responded in a couple of hours and in spite of a full schedule gave me a half-hour window for arrival. He arrived exactly as scheduled, diagnosed the problem, had the parts in his van and replaced them in minutes. In a half hour including chit-chat all my problems were solved. I knew that would happen because... Back in January a dryer electrical outlet at my mother's house had a mini-meltdown. My 1st reaction was to turn to yelp, and contact the highest rated electrician. He asked me to email him a picture of the outlet so he could obtain the precise replacement part. He showed up to our appointment as planned, fixed the problem and checked around the panel to ensure all was well. Todor Georgiew, Owner of Electro-Integrity, certainly demonstrated why his company has received 5 Star ratings from everyone. He personally responded within 15 minutes from my initial inquiry about installation of an outdoor motion sensor with camera. He then came out to the house the following day, inspected the layout and reviewed my home electrical system. He gave his professional recommendation as to what hardware I needed to purchase and how the installation would be made, especially in connecting to the house electrical system. Once I received the ordered hardware, I contacted Todor to arrange for the installation. An appointment was made the next day for his employee, Yelson, to do the installation. The next day Yelson Thor showed up a half hour early from the appointed time. He consulted with me about where and how to install the outdoor motion sensor and camera. He then skillfully installed it, including connecting it to the indoor electrical system without having to drill unnecessary or unsightly openings in the front exterior house wall. As he did the installation, he kept me apprised of all the possible options. Upon completion of the installation, he made sure that it was fully functional and advised me to contact him if any problems arouse. In summary, Electro-Integrity lived up to its moniker. This review is long overdue. My brother and I have done a lot of business with Todor over the last 6 months as we resurrected an old Victorian in the Haight Ashbury. When it comes to electricity (or plumbing), you don't take the cheap handyman route. It can be flat out dangerous! We had originally hired someone with many fantastic reviews that were clearly from people who were happy just for responsiveness, but likely did not have the expertise to know if anything had been done properly. This person had installed a bunch of electric heaters, every single one of them was done incorrectly. Further, several electrical sockets were installed, also done incorrectly. And when I say incorrectly, we could feel voltage coming off one of them and there were no less than 3 potential fire hazards. It was money down the drain, requiring a complete "redo" of the work, and would have been a potential future lawsuit, had we not had the expertise to understand the fire hazards that resulted from this work. Then we hired Todor. And we hired him again - and again. Yes, he is busy, but he found a way to squeeze in each job. He knows SF electrical code inside and out. His crew is highly trained, extremely professional and treated with respect. Each job is done on time and perfectly. This is one of those professionals, where I had no regrets with any piece of work that was done. I originally considered hiring Electro-Integrity, but they were busy on a large scale project at the time. I then proceeded to hire a different electrician to assist with my multiple electrical issues. Originally, I thought he had fixed my problem by swapping a switch, but it turns out that was not the case. After multiple follow-ups and no real assistance (unless I paid an expensive rate for him to come out), I decided to reach out to Electra-Integrity again. Todor was able to come to assess the issues I was having. He was patient, knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had about the issues and addressed nearly all of them on the initial visit. The only issues I had remaining cannot be fixed (and they are very minor) unless I tore down the walls and the others can be improved with a follow-up appointment. I appreciate that he explained everything as simply as possible and completely made sense compared to other electricians I've spoke to. The work he did to fix those issues have not come back up either, so I trust that he knows what he is doing. All of this was done in a fair price for the first visit. Unfortunately, shelter-in-place began before I could hire him again for the follow-up work. As a long-time, S.F. homeowner, I categorize installing a new UL listed 200 meter/main combo and 30/40, exterior, electrical panel in the same category as putting on a new roof or painting the house. In addition, a NEMA 14-50 EV charger was installed into our garage in order to charge our electric vehicle. Todor and his crew rewired my entire 1909 built home, which was knob and tube through most of the home. The scope of the work also involved significant upgrades, including recessed lighting throughout, replaced fixtures, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, accent lights on the stairs, Lutron switches, a heated towel bar in the bathroom, a new fan in the upstairs bathroom, and a new HVAC unit for upstairs (which required a second electrical box to be installed upstairs). Throughout this process, Todor was able to make great suggestions for design options and really understand my ultimate vision and make it happen, while remaining within my budget and working with me to understand cost trade offs. The crew is respectful and careful, and despite the massive effort and mess of a job this big they did everything possible to make it so I could stay there while the bulk of the work was happening. The most important thing for me was that we were able to have a fair discussion about work order changes as they occurred. Todor is very reasonable, and it was easy to come to the right solution for both sides when issues came up with the original bid and plan. He and his crew were also able to work with the other subcontractors I had in and out of the house at the same time, helping me to pull the whole project together reasonably even though I didn't hire a general contractor and was managing the subs myself. Pros: - Completed most of required work: installed new bathroom fan, installed exterior light, and diagnosed fault in bathroom lighting Cons: - Failed to diagnose problem with fan/light in second bathroom, seemingly mainly because they didn't want to get up in the crawl space - Cut more holes than needed in drywall. Cut holes "willy-nilly" (tons of little pieces around the fan, rather than one big piece and drilled holes rather than cut into the drywall at a 45 degree angle--the standard for cutting drywall that needs to be REPLACED) - THREW AWAY THE CUT OUT DRYWALL PIECES: just WHAT is supposed to go in their place??! [Luckily I retrieved the usable pieces from the bin.] All in all, not an experience that is on par with the other glowing reviews of Electro-Integrity on Yelp. read more

INTEGRITY, indeed! Todor called me right back and was at my house within an hour. The issue was "dead" outlets" and the solution was a re-set button in an obscure place. It took Todor 3 minutes toidentify and fix the issue. Embarrassingly simple, but I wouldn't have known. Rather than charge me his usual house call fee, Todor asked for a tenth of his rate and wished me a good day. I was in a panic as my roommate called me around noon-ish on a Friday stating that the refrigerator and half of the kitchen's electric was not working. After having her check every possible breaker in the house (it's an older Victorian) I told her to leave it be - assuming that I was unable to adequately describe what she needed to do to check the breakers. I got back home around 5 pm, and after I and my husband checked every possible breaker and fuse in the house - we'd known it was time to call an electrician. But unfortunately for us it was now 6 pm on a Friday... no one answers their phone at 6 pm on a Friday. We were resigned to having all the food spoil in the fridge, so my husband started to clean it out while I turned to Yelp to look for an electrician. I started in my neighborhood and called everyone on the list to see if there was anyone who'd pick up. By about the 10th person, no one had picked up, (including Todor on the first pass.) So by 9 pm we'd given up, and assumed that we'd have to wait until Monday to get it fixed. Lucky us... Todor called back around 9:30 pm. He asked what the problem was, I explained, and he said, no problem that he'd be at the house tomorrow (Saturday) between 9 am and 10 am to fix it. He showed up a little later - other work that went over, and considering that he was fitting us in at the last minute we couldn't be more grateful. (around 10:30 am) He quickly assessed what the problem was, provided some education, (the breaker for the plugs needed to be replaced.) He said he'd have to run down the street to get the part, but that all told it'd take about 10 minutes to fix. He was totally professional, patient and educational. For a month we tried to fix our oven/fuse/ power outlet problem ourselves and then gave in, and started looking for help. We contacted a few electricians on Yelp and G-search; no one returned our call for help. Finally, a neighbor gave me Todor's number. - Todor picked up his phone right away - Came over within a couple hours - He put covers on his shoes so not to track anything onto our wood floors - He was here for about 3 minutes and fixed our problem And then he didn't even charge us for coming over. I wanted a 220v outlet added to my garage for electric car charging. Todor was quick to provide an estimate and was very communicative when his prior job ran long. He ran the subpanel we agreed on but also rewired my main panel and replaced some cracked breakers for no extra charge. We had a few sockets blow in our kitchen, most likely because our inconsiderate neighbor's crappy contractor screwed around with our junction box instead of theirs. Originally I thought that our circuit breaker was out, which I don't know how to fix, so I called Tudor that morning. Amazingly, he said he could come over that morning for a few minutes (thinking, like I did, that it was a quick fix) Of course, as it turns out, it wasn't a quick fix, and after about an hour, Tudor told me that I would have to have some work done in the kitchen to allow him access behind a kitchen cabinet. This was a bummer, but he wouldn't allow me to pay him for the time he spent there. After I got the work done, I called Tudor and set an appointment for him to come back. He did so, exactly on time, and set about fixing the problem. Turns out, because the aforementioned junction box is in the aforementioned inconsiderate (being nice here.... there are much better adjectives) neighbor's space, which was formerly common space, he had trouble gaining access, but was able to fix the problem in another way. He understood our frustration with the situation, and he was extremely generous with his time. I highly recommend Tudor, and will hire him myself to fix the junction box problem and bring it up to code, once I call the city to inform them that my neighbor's construction project isn't up to code. (Gonna wait until they are done though... looks like a nice pricey remodel!) read more

We had a few electrical odd jobs I wasn't totally comfortable doing myself (new outlets, running power to outside for a motion sensor light, etc) I contacted Todor via email and he came by for a quote. We walked through the house chatting about the best ways to do things and the number he got back to me with later was within our budget! A few days later Ivo came over and did the work. He was able to get most of it done in one afternoon, and then came back after the weekend to finish off the last of it. There was some tricky surface conduit to run in and out of existing pipes and appliances in our garage, but the finished job looks clean and professional. He responded to my Labor Day weekend email at midnight, scheduled me quickly for the following Tuesday, and kept me in the loop via phone and text message about the appointment. He quickly diagnosed a tricky short in my electrical system and had the whole issue resolved in two hours. He patiently explained everything and answered all my questions. When the job was done and paid for, he noticed some conduit he felt should be anchored and went out of his way to take care of the detail. Had a very positive experience with Todor this week, when he retrofitted 5x of our kitchen recessed lights from fluorescent into LEDs (including a dimmer switch), and fixed 4x broken recessed lights in my living/dining room. He was responsive over email and phone as we discussed the scope of the project and agreed on the timeline/cost (which was fair). He also provided options for the light fixtures and introduced me to his supplier who helped pick out the right ones for our space. Once on site, Todor explained the rationale for his approach, worked efficiently/quickly and was very tidy. He brought his own vacuum, so at the end there was no sign of dust/mess that was certainly coming down as he was working. Overall, very happy with the experience, and will be calling on Todor again soon to retrofit the rest of our lights into LEDs. read more

We re-hired Todor to put in some can lights in the ceiling. As I mentioned in my last review, during our last service upgrade, he found some serious fire hazards. Well, he took care of all that and then some this time. His bid rate for the job was very reasonable, but what struck me is that he did more work than was specifically outlined in the bid. It was obvious that he is more concerned with the quality of his work and the safety of his clients than what is specifically outlined on a bid. Same as with last time, he was very clean about his work and he and his assistant cleaned up after themselves always. There was an unfortunate mishap with some varnish on the wood floor and the cause was in question, but he took care of it for us no problem. I already had full confidence in the quality of Todor's work, but he has proven that he is the real deal. He also smart and understands that word of mouth is the best way to drum up business and believe me, because he left us so pleased, I have recommended his services to anyone who will listen. read more

Todor was the electrician for our bathroom renovation and remodel. His part of the job was the most pivotal because we had original electrical wires from 1941 that had to be re-wired to code, termination of hot wires, plus a complete overhaul of our main switch. Of course, the electrical inspection went well and the inspector gave Tudor's work a passing grade and a sign off on the permit. Todor is now our regular electrician because he is trustworthy, and he is a man of his word. To give you perspective, Todor had our house keys for over two weeks when we were on vacation- a few of the lighting fixtures we purchased were back ordered, so Todor picked them up when we were gone and installed them by the time we got back from vacation. He recently installed a chandelier, a closet light and 3 outdoor lights with a digital switch. His work is impeccable, timely and detailed.
