Next to these two stickers was a third sticker that stated "Complete set of 4 $160". As I checked out at the front of the store, I wanted to make sure that the vendor was getting paid what they were owed. I didn't bargain down or argue for the $40, I made sure the cashier knew that there were two conflicting prices and that I didn't want to shortchange the vendor. Upon first asking if the $40 was the correct price, she stated loud and rudely, "IT SAYS SPECIAL FOR FOURTY DOLLARS." This was all she spoke while making direct and antagonizing eye contact. I acknowledged her words gently and kindly, that I indeed saw that sticker but also noticed that there was a conflicting price tag NEXT to the $40 one. The more expensive price was not crossed out or written over, they were listed next to each other. What I didn't say, but was hoping to clarify, was whether the store was okay being on the hook for the extra $120 if they were only going to charge me $40. The cashier simply repeated the same words, louder this time, and very condescending in her tone and manner, "IT SAYS SPECIAL FOR FOURTY DOLLARS" and pointed to the sticker to make her point even clearer. She said nothing else. I paid without further comment. As she bagged up the four prints, she included the additional document with the price stickers on it. I inquired if she wanted to keep the ADDITIONAL document with the price tags and booth label (for her records), making sure she didn't slip it in by mistake. Her tone, still very loud and now even more condescending, resounded as she said, "I WON'T BE REMOVING THOSE STICKERS BECAUSE THEY WILL DAMAGE THE PAPER." I wasn't asking her for a lesson on how adhesive works, I was simply trying to allow her the opportunity to keep the documentation for the vendor and the store to prove that she charged me for the discounted price. I've grown up in antique stores. My grandmother and mother both currently own/have owned their own antique establishments, so I'm familiar with the protocol. Maybe their protocol is different. My bad. I did not respond further and took the bag gently from her hands. It could have been the simplest and most pleasant interaction though. "Oh I see that there are two conflicting prices here. Let me call the vendor and verify that this one is correct." Or perhaps "We are told to take the lowest price listed on each product, so I can guarantee this is the correct price. Thanks for the concern though! I appreciate you looking out for the vendor!" Something, ANYTHING, more pleasant in terms of tone and word choice, would have been a better experience. I have also been in her shoes. I have worked in marketing and customer service for the past 20 years. I have worked a front desk, many, many times. I have been a cashier. I have been the rep who answered tweets at 11pm where a customer needed toilet paper sent to their hotel room. I know what it's like to deal with belligerent , arrogant people, with people who actively try to make your life a living hell because you work behind a desk, behind a screen, behind a uniform. That was NOT my intention, and that's what I think stung the most. In being kind, in being thorough, I was treated with contempt. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe I caught her in a moment where she had just dealt with someone difficult and assumed I was the same. There are a number of reasons why this transaction was so unpleasant. "Give her some grace!", the masses might cry. And I might agree with you. Normally, I would. But she was old enough to know better. The job she holds is not one that is difficult to execute, nor difficult to execute PROPERLY. Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a molehill. Maybe I shouldn't have let this seemingly small incident make such a huge impact. Or maybe, just maybe, this could've turned out so drastically different if this young woman had exercised the bare minimum and just been kind to me in return.

If you expect to get what you paid upfront for, on the date they gave you, then don't shop here. Only purchase things that they have on hand. They will give you a promise date just to get your money so they can get their commission but you will be lucky to get it a month after the promise date. I bought a couch and loveseat, paid cash, and was promised the loveseat a week later and the couch a week after that. Here we are over a month later and still no couch and they can't give me any updates on why. Also, I can cancel my order of the couch but they won't allow me to return the loveseat. So I would be stuck with it, without the matching couch. It's so messed up. The way they do business is gross. After they get your money they don't care anymore. This company does not prioritize their customers. Sadly I've spent thousands of dollars here on numerous TVs, laptops, refrigerators, deep freezers, and furniture. I bought a microwave convection oven but it didn't work correctly. I called the manufacturer and the company sent someone two different times to correct the problem. After the second time I asked them to fix the problem or I wanted a new oven. I was told that they would not replace my microwave. I then called Electronic Express and talked to Zion from who I made my purchase. He said to bring the microwave back and he would replace it with a new one. I then expressed that I wished that I had purchased another brand. He said that he would order me another brand if I liked. Delivery of appliances without working parts that were promised "in a couple of days"! Now 3 weeks later and STILL the corporate referral name we were given (Darryl Chummly) or the store manager (Zion Shreve) will not return our calls. Darryl's receptionist keeps asking when they can pick up the non-working fridge but they have not offered ANY replacement options or mention of what to do with the matching unopened freezer that we also have sitting in our kitchen! They will not offer refund for the freezer or the trim kit we purchased to go with the non-working fridge. Seriously, what kind of business is this!?!?!? The store manager also said he would reimburse our delivery costs 3 weeks ago and still has not. We have received no compensation for anything. read more

I had two employees tell me that I could return a laptop. One told me I could return it within 7 days before I bought it, and another one told me I could return it on the phone even though I told him it was open already. He said that didn't matter and to ignore what the receipt said. When I got to the store, a manager told me I could not return it. I explained to him what his employees told me both before and after purchasing the lap top and he said he didn't care and that I couldn't return it. After getting angry and arguing and threatening to call cooperate, he returned it for me. Salesman here will lie to you about a return policy to make a sale. Get on the same ship people. read more

Good selection of Yeti products. I was hunting an older color and they happened to have it in stock. Friendly employees as well! I had been looking everywhere for the blue seasonal colors that came out last summer and was happy as heck when Marcus found the cup I was looking for behind the more recent colors on the display. He could have easily told me they didn't have it but he took the time to check stock and look through the display. After helping us get customer service on the line again, Heather, the store manager, hearing how our conversation was going with this second service rep, sat with us and helped walk us through everything. When we hung up for the second time we still didn't have the issue resolved, so she called them again with us. After an hour + in the store, my mom was finally good to go. Now, I've been a Verizon customer since I was 16 years old and I stay with them for their customer service, but don't think I have ever had someone so invested in making sure we had the help we needed. I seriously cannot say thank you enough. The kindness and compassion she showed my mom and I, especially sitting with us through two (in store) calls to customer service, after they told us that they couldn't help, was unparalleled. They could have fixed the problem (by maybe resending the shoes I ordered to the correct address, since the ones I ordered are being sent back to them) But they chose to not fix anything. The store is well stocked, clean (it is new) and the customer service is very friendly. They want to help, but they are constrained. Customer service, including the manager, is not authorized to make the customer happy with actions that are commonplace and expected elsewhere. I spent 15 minutes analyzing things to figure out what I wanted to buy as an impact socket set that I need this afternoon. I finally settled on one of the blue Inside Track Club items because that was by far the best deal for me. I am a member of their inside track club, but the socket set rang up as a regular priced item. I went back and removed the blue tag from the shelf and brought it to the cashier. The manager was called, who inspected the fine print and concluded that the discount had expired 7/31 (today was 8/6) and they had just failed to remove the advertisement from the shelf...for a week, They "were not authorized" to adjust the price. In other words, the store manager doesn't have the discretion and authority at the store level to make things right. I've never been to a big brick and mortar store that had this policy and wouldn't honor something on the shelf like that. Trying to help my feelings they told me I could come back next weekend to their tent sale and buy it that way. I don't need it in two weeks...I need it today and had my hopes up. Is that $20 really worth leaving a bitter taste in a long time customer's mouth? It really isn't about the $20...but more about how they handled it. Evidently the $20 was more important to corporate, though...two stars for corporate limitations and rigid policy that doesn't allow the local store to make right on their mistake.
