Bought a pair of Klipsh Heresy speakers from Jimmy at Electronics Expo... I love the speakers, and in addition the buying experience was top notch. I wanted speakers that were made in USA to go along with my other components and wanted to support a local business so I went to Electronics Expo during their grand opening sale in Wayne in May 2021. Jimmy was great, he was focused on getting me what I wanted, and even though they did not have the Hereseys in the showroom, he never tried to steer me to another product. It was a sales experience you just don't get at the big box stores - focused just on the customer being happy with the purchase. The showroom in Wayne was spacious with a wide selection, from quality entry level all the way to among the best money can buy (there was a $200k pair of speakers in the store!). So something for all budgets. And they had a number of smaller rooms to audition pieces, which was nice to see as it would give a better reflection of how the gear would sound in a home. Seemed like they really took the time to curate their items. My only negative was that they didn't have the Heresey speakers in store, when going to a store that is what you want, but, they had many models of speakers, so are not lacking options... and were still able get me exactly what I wanted. If you are in the market for audio or video equipment you need to check this place out.... Great service, great selection and the price was the best I had seen! I have purchased here in the past and my experience has always been excellent and this experience was just as wonderful and stress free. I LOVE my new TV and the installation. Ordered an open box Hi Res portable player After a week I made contact with the company, they stated the open box player was gone but to rectify this, they would send me a brand new unit! I purchased a HD TV on Amazon sold by Electronis Expo. It arrived faulty. I contacted them and was told that they wouldn't allow a return or exchange, instead, I'd have to contact the television manufacturer and they would repair it. This was supposed to be a brand new television! I paid for a BRAND NEW television. I left a negative complaint on their Amazon rating feedback because I was dissatisfied with their "solution," which was none. I was quickly contacted on July 19, 2010 by Bruno Castanheira a so-called Customer Experience Manager who offered to make it right in return for my removing my negative feedback. It was agreed upon that Electronics Expo would give me a 3 Year Warranty and a refund of $100.00. I removed my feedback and waited. Of course, Amazon doesn't allow you to put the feedback back on, which I assume Electronics Expo was counting on because I received nothing. No $100.00 refund; no 3-Year Warranty. In the meantime I had to get my television repaired by the company, which didn't resolve the problem. So basically I purchased a repaired big screen TV. I wrote back to Mr. Castanheira on August 26, 2010 and told him I received nothing. He assure me, "The credit was already process for you and the warranty was sent out two weeks ago. I will look into the warranty for you." After several more e-mails and calls in which no one responded, I finally received a $100.00 credit on my credit card on October 13, 2010. I wrote Mr. Castanheira to acknowledge the receipt and a new "Customer Experience Manager" a Max Khachatryan wrote back saying, "I am glad it worked out." I wrote back telling him that I still had not received a Warranty and called him and wrote him again and again to no avail. I'd leave messages on Mr. Khachatryan's message machine asking him to call me and he never responded. I told him that I intend to get that 3-Year Warranty that I was promised, but I guess he thinks I'm bluffing. I gave him until last Friday to respond which he has refused to do. Electronics Expo of 70 Demarest Drive, Wayne, New Jersey 07470, tel: 1.888.707.EXPO x100 thinks that they can sell you faulty merchandise, make offers and promises to customers, renege and get away with it. But they can't. I have all the correspondence which is the same as a written agreement and the law is on my side. I will fight to get my Warranty. I did eventually get my 3-year warranty, but it still wasn't worth it. It was only because I made such a fuss and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I have purchased 2 items from here, one plasma tv- which I was very happy with and a surround sound system for my salon, I am happy with the in store service but the people who came to install my speakers (which I paid 300$ for) were an hr and a half late, and super creepy and unprofessional. Kept talking about inappropriate situations and making ridiculous sounds then proceeded to tell me I had dimples and my girlfriend had sad eyes and laughed in my face as if they were stoned or on crack. I was generally scared and concerned for my health. I'm calling tomorrow and complaining - ill update you all on how they handle the situation soon. for now 2 stars. SO my update came before i finished my review- they handled it timely and efficiently. Bought Plasma TV with extended service contract. Well, the TV needed repair and they came and picked it up - tried to leave without giving me paperwork or even a last name! Only when I asked for a driver's license did I get a business card, and I have to say, I got a very bad feeling from the service guys! Something was just not right there. But now we get a call a month later and they still do not have a part, so it will be another week, even though I was told they'd have it done within 2 weeks at the very latest, even if they had to order parts, when they picked it up. Creepy employees, still no TV, getting lied to, and treated like I am unreasonable for saying this is nuts, it's repair or replace and since you obviously cannot get it repaired in a timely fashion, give me another one! A DAY after I placed the order and received confirmation of the order from Amazon, I was informed by email from Electronics Expo that the item was "no longer available." As a consolation, they offered a replacement item. (Actually, they offered TWO different replacement items over two days and were not even consistent with their offers.) It almost felt like a Bait-n-Switch operation. Needing to research my purchase further, I elected to cancel my order all together. I would be cautious of this seller, especially if ordering on Amazon, and try to confirm item availability in advance before placing an order. Good selection of TVs and audio equipment that is also set up to be tested. Overall my first experience there was a good one. A couple months ago I decided it was time to replace my bookshelf speakers. I'd had them for over ten years, and while they functioned reasonably well for watching movies, for listening to music they really didn't impress with too much detail. I had a limited budget - $1000ish - and thought that would be sufficient to find a decent pair of floor standing speakers. Amazon reviews were unconvincing with so many reviewers saying 'these speakers are the very best' and 'just buy these.' Clearly everyone could not be right, or maybe everyone was - they had found the best speakers for their ears. I wanted to hear different speakers from different manufacturers in the same listening room, but found very few stores that offered this service. Magnolia (Best Buy) was my first stop but they had only three brands in my price range. While researching different manufacturers online, I noticed a couple mentioned Electronics Expo as a local retailer. I stopped by one afternoon completely unprepared but spent an hour talking to one of the salespeople who patiently talked audio endlessly with me, and politely let me listen to all the speakers I wanted to. I let him know I would be back with a few of my favorite cd's when I'd have a little more time, and he assured me I could work with anyone, as they are non-commission. It was refreshing to work with a non-commission salesperson who was so knowledgeable about audio, and who was in no hurry for me to find my perfect speakers. I returned a week later with some cd's and worked with Vinny who was also excellent to work with. Vinny went above and beyond, playing my music on a variety of very well regarded brands including Definitive Technology, GoldenEar, Martin Logan, ELAC, Paradigm, Monitor, Klipsch and SVS. Vinny even moved the handful of speakers I was most interested in into one listening space in the store so I could get a true apples to apples comparison. I left that day with a pair of speakers I was thrilled with, at a price that matched the best price of any store listed on Amazon, knowing that if I ever have a problem, Electronics Expo is just a short drive from my house. Excellent brands, service, price, and they're family owned too. Highly recommend if you're looking for audio equipment. read more

I have got to say, They are so helpful when you want to buy something so I give 1 star. But you can die listening to crickets trying to get someone to help you when you need a repair, They push their 5 year warranty on their stuff but neglect to tell you that when something breaks down parts are going to take at least 2 months to get. I bought an in home repair warranty but when my 60" stopped working they told me because its a big tv it needs to be brought into their service department. Where it now sits for 3 weeks waiting for a part they can find cus its out of stock, Now they are suppose to replace it if parts are no longer available, well correct me if Im wrong but isnt, out of stock the same as not available?????? If you have to search over seas for a part they;re is something wrong. But here is the kicker, , when I talked to the store manager, He told me I can buy a floor model during the time of the wait for my tv to be fixed, then return it when my tv is fixed .
