What an awful experience. I wish I could do 0 stars. I went for the first time and did a dip manicure . I sat for 2 HOURS while the lady worked on my nails . I had to ask her MULTIPLE time to stop filing my nails shorter because it was getting painful and she continued and I had to pull my hand away to get her to stop. By the end of 2 hours she said she was done and told me to wash my hands so she can put the clear coat . My nails looked awful (see pictures)!!! Another email came and offered to re do them but I refused to stay for 2 more hours and I had to pick up my son. They offered to redo them the next day, and I agreed but the following day my finger tips hurt sooo much that I did not go back. I would not recommend and would NOT return. On top of this, the employee who was doing my nails kept rolling her eyes and being rude when I told her that I did not like my nails and they were not worth $50 !!!!AWFUL PLACE!! A pretty average nail salon. It's very clean, and everyone is very nice. Their prices are on the lower side, not by much, but a buck or two cheaper. If you're in a bind an need an emergency mani/pedi, I'd go. Will this be my regular spot? Definitely no. Will I go back? If I need to, sure. The woman who did my nails was very kind and attentive, but the quality is a 3 star manicure. This place is the worst! I walked in and all I got were confused looks from four technicians, one of them finally said Hi and asked what I needed to get done. I got sat down and she started working on my nails while talking to her coworkers in their language. She hurried her work and got done in an hour, my gel french nails were full of bubbles and is very unsatisfied with the results. Overall, this place is cheap but so is their work. Elegance 6 Nail Salon is a wonderful neighborhood salon. The ladies are all very very nice & accommodating. They will do anything you request as far as design or service. Wasn't too crazy about this place but they got the job done for the price I was willing to pay. I got a pedicure, shellac color change (because I didn't want to pay for a full manicure when my cuticles were fine), and got my upper lip & eyebrows waxed all for $60. I left the place extremely pleased, however just hours after my appointment was over, I noticed my nails started getting these weird cracks in it. It was just a few nails, and now just a week after my appointment, almost every single one of my nails have these strange cracked marks on them. Luckily I have on a dark polish color, but I was still very upset. I would come back here for a pedicure and they did a decent waxing job, but I will likely go elsewhere for nails for a more professional job. read more

For some mysterious reason, I thought I was headed to Aislinn Nails when I pulled into the Whole Foods/Wylie Wagg/Tara Thai complex. My bad--and I certainly did pay. $35 sounded like an awesome deal for a mani/pedi, so my friend said, whatever, let's just get it done here. At the end of our session, my skin was rubbed raw and actually hurt, the polish was puddled around the edges of my nails, spilling over to all the skin on the sides AND the layers were uneven making it seem like I painted my nails with several different shades of pink. My friend's nails were a bit better--her technician was much gentler on her skin and paid more attention to staying in the lines--but she was not pleased either. Our toes were both a bit better, but whites on our french toes were much too wide. My friend's nail polish chipped the same day. Mine chipped the next morning once the polish came off my skin in the shower and it was downhill from there. (mani/pedi + french toe surcharge+ tip) x2 =$90. waste of money--do NOT recommend. read more

I am an "old" devoted customer of this place. Have been coming here if not every week than every two weeks for sure. Primarily do my nails and waxing at Patricia and Thau. But other technicians have their own clientele as well - which means they are good as well. What I wanted to mention as well is cleanness and sanitary condition of this place. They use individual plastic liners in the baths for pedicure and it's absolutely right and very important from the sanitary point of view - too many fungus around but with these measures you are safe. If you are a returning client they even keep your own box with all necessary tools and nobody but you use it every time you come in. These ladies are very friendly, kind and very polite. Everything was fine, except for one glaring point. Came in try a cheap eyebrow wax. The actual waxing job was pretty decent, I only had to ask my aesthetician to take a little more off the top of my brow. The experience, though, made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. The back area where I was getting my waxing, there was another employee, a man just making his lunch and talking to the girl while she was waxing. It was rather unpleasant. if i could give this place 0 stars, i would. Me and my 2 girlfriends decided to go here last friday. It was the worst mani/pedi experience any of us ever had. You shouldn't feel the need to go drink a lot after you go to get your nails done-but we did. Cuticles bleeding, cuts on most of my fingers.. Nails are now snagging. It was awful-and they told us it was a 15 minute wait, in fact, they told everybody that walked in it was a 15 minute wait, but was actually an hour. Do not go here! read more

I found Elegance 6 last May when I was looking to relocate from Boston to DC. I had a early morning flight down and then dealt with a lot of drama at the car rental place. So when I finally got to the salon for the 1st appointment of the day I was frazzled. The staff took such great care of me and had that nice blend of chattiness with relaxation. Plus the mani/pedi came out fabulous and I was able to get to my interview feeling like a normal human being. The mani lasted about a week, which is fabulous for me and the pedi lasted until the next interview. The second time I visit Elegance 6 it was roughly a month later. The girls remembered me, which I was pleasantly shocked by. They took great care of me again and gave me a great eyebrow wax. I just moved in the apartments across the street and I thought I deserved a mani-pedi after relocating from California. I stopped in on a Saturday morning and asked to make an appointment for a pedicure and a shellac manicure later that day. I also asked them the price just so I would know. I admit the manicure and pedicure were great, and they look good, but when I went to pay they charged me $5 more than the quoted price for no apparent reason. I guess I could have argued with them about it but I just paid it and left with a bad vibe after what was otherwise a pleasant experience. Kim did my manicure and pedicure and she was excellent; very attentive and thorough. I also opted for a 15-minute massage. Horrible horrible service. I went in there with my mom and they proceeded to do my moms nails while they had me playing musical chairs every 5 minutes. They made me change my seat every few minutes and kept telling me that another lady is going to be doing my nails. I was there for about 1.5 hours and DID NOT get serviced while my moms nails were done. When we went to check out the lady did not apologize and she told me to wait an extra 10 minutes for the technician to be done but I refused because it had left a bad taste in my mouth by then. I've been going to Patricia at Elegance 6 for many years. The staff is always very accommodating. There I not a long wait for walk-ins. My nails are alway perfect. The women who work there are very sweet and they have a loyal following. The salon is clean & up to date on all the latest fashions. I also have had eyebrows & lower leg wax. My eyebrows are shaped well & have clean lines. They are never uneven or too thin. Legs are done quickly & without pain, LOL!! OK, a little stinging, but hey that"s waxing! The salon is not sleek & upscale. But it is clean and they are a great neighborhood nail salon. Five stars for them!!! read more

I've been here pretty regularly over the past year and have always had a great experience. All of the nail techs are friendly, efficient, and don't make you uncomfortable by yammering on and on with each other in another language. They're diligent about cleaning up after each customer and their prices are reasonable. I don't do complicated designs so I can't comment on their capabilities for that but for my pedicure and gel manicures, I have been happy with the results. The ladies are very accommodating for walk ins but I always call ahead just to make sure someone will be able to take me and that has always worked out for me. Not a fan! I was trainign for the Army ten Miler and had just finished a long run. I wanted just to relax and treat myself to something nice. This is the closest Nail Salon to my house. So, I dropped in. Having been trhough Nail school I know what to look for as far as sanitation goes. I saw NOTHING! I would be very afraid to go here again. Unfortunatley I didn't know this until they started my pedicure. I watched my feet for the next few days for fear of a growing fungus. When looking for a Nail Salon look for one that take the instuments from sealed packages. This is the only way you can know for sure that they are fully sanitized. read more

The worst pedicure I have ever had. I didn't think that a pedicure could be that bad! My feet are rough and the nail polishes is as Bumpy! The woman hurt me several times! And then laughed and said it's OK! It's not OK when I left my foot was killing me! And I was sick and tired of her telling me what I should do! She asked me personal questions that she had no right to ask me! The French gel manicure is even worse! This place is great. I love the people that work there and they all do a great job. Even for being inexpensive, the mani pedi always looks good and lasts for several days. There is usually not a long wait and they get you in and out quickly. They do a good eyebrow and lip wax with combo pricing. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Could not have been more happy with my experience at this small little nail salon. Staff was so friendly to me when I walked in. My feet turned out wonderful after the pedicure. They give great foot massages. Be careful though, the girls have strong hands!! My french mani turned out good as well.
