1) A lady walked in the door, waited politely, & asked how much it would be to get her dip manicure and gel pedicure would be to remove. The lady doing my mom's toenails was yelling answers to her & the customer asked for clarification if the price was for both removals. The lady who worked there snapped around and told her she asks too many questions and just ignored her. I then told the customer "I did not think you asked too many questions- I thought that was reasonable". Then the worker lady took offense and was trying to convince me that the customer wasn't making any sense. I stood firm that this was not okay. There was no further discussion. 2) I asked the lady who was doing my toe nails how she was doing today and she replied with "Ugh I can't stand all these people coming in before we close. I'm tired" ..... ... they close at 8.. we came in at 7:15 & asked if they had availability. They said yes. We are the people. I then replied to her with "Oh I'm so sorry if we made your day harder!" She then replied with "yeah." 3) she said "you can keep the length right. It's short. Cannot do shorter." I said I need them to be as short as possible because long nails will hurt me when running. She said yeah and did not cut down my nails at all. 4) when we started she swiped my nails a few times with acetone and it did not come off right away. She told me it was gel. I did not get gel. I never get gel nails on my toes. She told me no and it would be 5 dollars more to remove it. Then she scraped the polish off and wiped it with acetone and it came right off. EVEN if it was- she said I was wrong instantly and made it feel like she just wanted to make extra money off of me. After all of these things and my mom being very blunt that our family owns a nail salon- the ladies became extremely nice to us & started flattering us. 5) I asked my tech to fix my French tips because it was crooked. They aren't bad nails- but they still are crooked. Look at the comparison of my pinky nail and Big toe. It's still not great. This was the worst experience ever at a nail salon. Horrible vibes. Will make sure any of my people in Olney do not go here. At a point before the polish- I told them we can leave if they are so ready to leave work. We felt like such a bother just existing there. I was a bit disappointed with my most recent visit to Elegance Nail Salon. I scheduled two pedicure appointments a week in advance for my friend and I, and when we arrived, we needed to wait a while before being seated at pedicure seats. We both were received gel classic pedicures at $55 for each of us. My friend originally just wanted a classic regular nail polish pedicure, but after three nail techs had told her she should get the gel she was pressured into the up-charge to gel. My friend was started 15-20 minutes before I had a nail technician working on my pedicure. By the time I was greeted by a nail tech, my tech was trying to rush through my service to catch up so my friend and I would both finish at the same time. We both ended up paying the same amount for our pedicures but I received a much shorter experience. Unfortunately, I was too uncomfortable to mention this when paying. I feel that Elegance will say yes all services and focus more on receiving payment than having satisfied customers. This was once my favorite place to go, but it has turned into being a rushed appointment even when I scheduled in advance. read more

when I first walked in the shop looks very nice inside but the service could definitely be better, my toes didn't come out how I wanted plus they charge 10 dollars for each acyclic toe which is insane... they come up with their own price after telling you one price. Original my toes were suppose to be 60 something dollars but it comes out to 79 dollars and when I asked them how she gives me a 4 dollar discount like that make sense. I visited this place on Easter Sunday because my regular spots were all closed. They were taking only walk-ins; no appointments. A basic manicure pedicure was $58 and there was absolutely nothing to justify that amount of money. The place was just average, all the way around. Clean, but not sparkling. No evidence that the tools had been sanitized. Products were nothing special and there was nothing added to the water for soaking hands or feet. I've gone to Elegance here and there for the past eight years. I'm not sure why but they usually don't have someone on staff who can do acrylics until 11am-noon, so even though they open at 9, A good amount of customers have to wait. When I went three weeks ago, I got an acrylic fill w gel. and my eyebrows waxed for $45 (without tip). When I went yesterday, I got my acrylics off and tried dip for the first time. For some reason, this was $50 without tip. Their pricing isn't posted anywhere on their store, but I am confused how one service costs more than 2. Not to mention, I had to get a fake nail replaced the time I went before and salons usually charge $5 for that. $50 for dip seems pricey, and the ambiance isn't all that great, so I'm not sure if I'll be going back. read more

This was a great experience. I walked in on a Monday around noon for a fill and gel manicure and was taken right away. I had a picture of what I wanted, and the technician did a fantastic job. I had previously had my nails done at another spa and didn't like the shape or the thickness of the acrylics but at Elegance, they shaped my nails beautifully and did the design exactly how I wanted. I went in with no appt today around oneish. They were able to take me in right away for a mani and spa pedi. Cindy who was my technician was excellent from my hands to my toes. She worked fast which I loved, I was in a time crunch but it did not take for the quality of my mani -pedi. Cindy was good at what she does and kept reminding me not to touch anything to ruin my nails, which I did :/ which she quickly repainted ( same thing for my toe.) I don't know why more men don't come to get at least their feet done up nicely with a pedicure to these nail salon places. I know it's typical for women to visit and get their fingernails and toenails done up and polished real pretty, but the staff here will take very good care of the feet here no matter who you are. I visited today for a pedicure (Elegance, like most others, have several types of these that one can choose from) and chose to have the men's active one done. I do a lot of walking and my heels have a lot of dead skin across them. I have no foot fungus or anything like that, as determined by a podiatrist. But by the time they were finished, my feet looked and absolutely felt like brand new. I felt like a new man. Their chairs are very comfortable with massage options and they are thorough with the pedicure, I mean, they do everything. I even felt like my blood was circulating in my legs much better than before. I know I'll be back because their prices for everything are not bad either. read more

I made an appointment for two manis two weeks ago and when we came in we had to wait 25 mins to get seen. The person I was with was questioned several times about her color selection and she repeatedly had to say this is the color i want. The single positive I can say about Elegance is they spend a ton of time on the massage during pedicures, which is super relaxing. Otherwise, today was my fourth visit to Elegance-I gave it multiple tries thinking I just hadn't found the right technician but today was the nail in the coffin for me. The technician kept cutting my fingers and it hurt so much that I didn't even look at my nails until I left-I just wanted to get out of there. She listened to my needs, she took them into account. She did a super job on my mani and pedi. I was in the area again and decided to go back to get the same service done. I wanted to get Cat Eye Gel done. I was hoping to get the same technician from last year because she did a beautiful job. Unfortunately that wasn't the case today. I think their entire staff has been replaced because the service was just god awful. A man did my cat eye and he was super rough on my nails. I absolutely hated it. Not to mention, he didn't do the process correctly for Cat Eye. They don't look like the way they're suppose I will never come back here again. I do not recommend this place. I used to loved this place however I will not be returning. Worst service ever. I called at 9:15 to schedule an appointment. Was sent a text message to come 40 minutes later due to availability. I arrived at 9:30 and told one of the nail techs I'd be next door. I got a call that they were ready and walked in the door 5 minutes after the call. The nail tech was so rude and said despite my appointment they couldn't see. I fail to understand how you have appointment yet they take other customers, then what's the point of an appointment? Poor costumer service, and now they have a surcharge 2.5% if you use a debit/credit card. read more

I went in as a walk in in July (mid morning). I saw Cindy for a manicure and pedicure because she was the next available at the salon. The pedicure was horrible- cut my toenails so short I'm surprised I had any left. She also cut my cuticles way too much. Since then, my big toenail became ingrown to the point that my whole nail needed to be removed. Ugh! Seriously could have all been avoided if my nails weren't cut so short originally. My gel manicure actually lasted 6 weeks with no chips. I was pleasantly surprised since my pedicure was horrible. She did get snappy with me when I would put my hand under the light to cure the polish. That was unnecessary behavior... Definitely worth reading: I went to beauty school and I couldn't believe what I saw at a "professional" nail salon . I was gonna say something but I was with one of my girlfriends and she's 8 month pregnant, so I didn't want her to have to wait for me. This is the WORST place to get your nails done! Sloppy job and so much more. Other than that, I felt like they were a bit rude. These salons are all about $$$. They rushed without a care in the world. While the lady was attempting to get the rough and dry skin off of the bottom of my feet she did a HORRIBLE job! It wasn't smooth, still dry, she didn't put effort into it at all. Even I can take off the rough dry skin off my feet! Then when it came to my manicure, she didn't give me one before she started my acrylics. At the end when I paid, I ALWAYS give a 20% tip since I know how important tips are. I gave it to the one who did my "manicure" first and as I was about give the one who did my pedicure jumped in and said "Oh, me, too! I did your pedicure". You're not supposed to do that. I shouldn't have given her anything with that attitude. I called them the next day bc I wanted my money back. They can only reimburse me the tip money. Okay, fine. Whatever. I'm gonna get my acrylics taken off and have them redo my pedicure. For my manicure I'm Judy gonna have them do a regular one. If they screw up again, I will make them redo it. read more

We came to get a gel manicure and pedicure. We made the appointment 24 hours prior. Once we got to the store there was no communication that we would be waiting 30 plus minutes to be seated. Once we got seated there was no communication that other technicians would seat other clients that came after us. The lack of communication, lack of professionalism with no receptionist, and lack of attention to customers that made appointments is extremely disrespectful. We used to be recurring customers but our business will not go to workers that refuse to give everyone equal attention or the decency to communicate that if you made an appointment it will not be first come first serve.
