Beware! 4 cashmere sweaters ruined. This place claims to be…read moreenvironmentally friendly, but the chemicals are intense. The smell would not come out of the 4 sweaters rendering them unable to wear. I told them of the smell and they said it was MY perfumes coming out of the fabric. I wear NO scented products. They offered to steam clean them and the smell still did not come out. Remedies offered: Refund of the cleaning bill or I submit an insurance claim whereas I send my sweaters to them and in 3 months a decision rendered, meaning I need to buy all new winter sweaters. They would not do both. Not able to go 3 mo with out sweaters in the winter season and no guarantee I chose the refund check. They kept stalling and when I finally pressed as to what day I can pick up the check they said they are not issuing a check after all. 2.5 months later, the sweaters still smell. I could never talk to a manager, and the phone lady was very rude.

This might be the worst customer service and just service in general that I have ever received. The bride and I both brought our dresses to Laurie. She seemed so sweet. She tells you she can do things that she is clearly not qualified for. Says she has a background in costuming for theatre, which tugs at my heart strings as my oldest has been in theatre for forever. The screenshots tell you all that you need to know so I will be brief. In January the wedding dress was dropped off. She ripped out the back of the brides dress saying she could do everything the bride asked for. Then said the dress was ready for pick up (Aug 2 well passed when a bride should have their dress back from alterations) but when we showed up all the pins were still in it. It hadn't even been hemmed. The back (and butt) were ripped out and a piece of transparent lace was sewn in its place, crooked and bunched in areas. No way to fasten the dress. She had removed the boning. The bride text her after we left asking her to please stop working on the dress and she would come back and pick up. Laurie decided to "put the dress back together" then charge the bride for alterations she didn't do. My dress was supposed to be ready by Aug 1 at the latest (I'm the MOH) I showed up to pick it up and she had only taken in one side of the dress and sewn the seam backwards...it even had pockets and now one was facing backwards! The straps were so short that I could barely get my arms through, and so much more was wrong with it that the list is just too long. She swore she'd fix it and it would be done in a day or two. Nope. She just kept putting me off. I finally text just telling her that I need my dress back. I'm at the point where I've purchased another dress because I had no idea if she would finish it. I no longer have time to get the bride's approval on my dress. The wedding is in 4 days. No apology. No accountability. No compassion. And she's still charging full price for services that she didn't do as agreed upon. Now she says she will be selling our dresses. This woman is not a seamstress. She's a scam artist.

My husband needed his suit altered so we stopped in one afternoon. The owner greeted us warmly and after examining the garment, she said she could have it ready the following Friday. I was pleasantly surprised she could do the work so quickly. Amy is honest and will tell you what she can and cannot do. She did a beautiful job on my husband's suit. The total she charged was reasonable as well. We are appreciative of her kind, friendly and helpful demeanor and I know I will be dropping off any dry cleaning to her in the future. I noticed she advertises organic dry cleaning. I'm not sure what exactly that means but I like that they are committed to organic cleaning practices since dry cleaning can use some harsh chemicals. When I questioned him about the $5 increase, he said he was actually going to charge me $40 but took money off b/c there was a mixup on getting back to me about when the jeans were done. He said he was going to charge more b/c the seamstress matched the color of the thread on the hem to the stitching already on the jeans. I thought a seamstress would have basic colors available for their work. This wasn't an unusual color of thread. The actual job done was fine but I wasn't pleased with the hiked price and having to keep calling to see when my jeans would be done. I won't be going back.
