My favorite nail lady in Gardena has moved and I have been on the hunt for a good nail shop. This shop looks nice and seems very clean. However, the quality was sub par. The gel mani was painted nicely but it feels that my cuticles and nail folds were not cleaned. My gel pedi was worse. The color was haphazardly applied, and my cuticles and nail folds were untouched. Im sorry, but this came HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from a good friend. I know my nail bed is not exactly healthy, I am taking medication for it. But is completely UNACCEPTABLE to paint a clients toes and leave them looking like a child painted them.. they where literally like, ok now I do the design.. uhh.. no... the paint isn't even.. ok, I apply another coat.. NO! Applying another coat to ALREADY thick, and uneven application makes it look worse! And why don't they offer gel remover for the gel polish!? Why are we using a drill bit to remove???? They were REALLY busy but were able to squeeze me in without an appointment. The sweetest lady named Tiffany gave me a luxury gel pedicure and 10 minute foot and leg massage. So sad to share that I came here today for a basic mani & pedi but it still was below expectations :( The salon IS clean but I think this was the worst service I've ever received from a nail salon. I came in asking for a mani and pedi and although there were clearly enough techs doing nothing, they assigned 1 tech to do both services without telling me. Once I told my pedi tech that I don't have time for her to do my mani too ( since it takes double the time) she asked one of the other techs that was sitting in silence to come do my mani. No one asked me what package I wanted, what shape I wanted, told me cost, or said hi. The tech doing my mani suddenly had 2 billion things to talk about with her fellow coworkers as soon as she started my service. She literally didn't even say hi to me. My nails are allll different shapes and uneven. I'm giving 2 stars only because at the end when I went to the register to pay, the receptionist pushed Skip on her POS on the area that I would've put in tip- so I didn't tip either tech since I don't carry cash. Otherwise it would be a 1 star. There are so many nail salons in the area I can't believe these techs would risk being so careless. I usually do SNS here pre covid. Their application actually lasted on my nails. They have a variety of colors and is $38 unless prices have changed. Since then and with limited nail salons being open I tried a gel manicure ($30) and pedicure ($25). They had a tent outside where they are able to do both and then for some reason for the top coat of the gel you're brought inside, not sure the rational for that. So I went inside when my pedicure was in process. They used sanitized items and opened the packages in front of you. Only thing now that was a bit ehhh is that they suddenly don't take credit card. Cash or Venmo. So call before hand if you are planning to use card. read more

They have good customer service. Called ahead for appointment and the next day they were ready for me. I wanted a mani and pedi French tip. The price was a little too expensive for me so I went with color instead of French tip. The girl who did my toes was amazing she recommended a great color and gave me a good scrub. The manicure was not good at all. The girl used the machine to take off my old gel which I didn't say anything because I know it's faster but assumed she'll be good at it. She left it bumpy and made my fingers bleed. Now I'm left with cuts around my nails for at least 4 days until they heal. It's very uncomfortable. That's why I gave it 3 stars, price and gel manicure. read more

To the owner of Elegant Nails and Spa: Your place is anything but elegant. Everything you write about your salon under "specialty" is a lie. You dont sanitize your tools because you go from one client to the next. You obviously don't take pride in your work because if you did, I wouldn't have walked out of the salon feeling like shit. I barely had any massages or lotion. My feet look like I just had a polish change instead of a pedicure. And is there a short supply of paper towels because my toes separator was two little pieces of toilet paper (see photo). I've been to many salons but never have I experienced what I had today. I paid $30 for a pedicure but I sure did not get a $30 treatment. I know you profit a lot so you don't have to be cheap on your supplies. We had an appointment at 10:30am for 4 people but we didn't get any help until 11:30am. I overheard the girl speaks in Vietnamese she didn't expect us to show up so she took the other walk ins clients. If we are 10 mins late maybe you can assume that but we were considerate enough to come there on time. You talk shit about your clients in Vietnamese because I can understand you. Instead of getting to know your clients, you automatically assume that I was the mother. When Hanna found out I was Vietnamese, she was super nice to me and then charged me $1.50 for credit card fee. People on here said you accept Venmo and Zelle but she said she doesn't accept it. So what's that all about? The lady before me paid in Venmo/Zelle and it was ok. You make me wait for an hr and half, the least you can do is waive it for me. Regardless, you own a business and you should know the risk that comes with it. You can't punish people for paying in cards. You put "tip in cash" very clearly but fail to let people know there's a credit card fee until the end. I tip $6 before I even paid which I shouldn't have because you don't deserve it. I'm sure you still sleep well at night knowing that you take advantage/ripped people off as part of your job. I came there to get pampered and relax but I walked out more stressed than before. read more

I asked for my water to be hot but I think the lady may have misunderstood me because she put more cold water. My feet were luke warm. She did a good job on my pedicure though and I ended up getting the service that included the sugar scrub. Some things that I liked were the free WiFi and how quiet and peaceful it was in there. It made for a true relaxing experience. The reason I came here is because they do not reuse their tools. Each person gets a freshly opened pack of tools used on their feet or hands and that's what a salon who cares about their customers should do! What a great find! This quaint, very clean, and relaxing spa is perfect for any Mama looking to get a mani or pedi. I did a walk-in for a pedicure at 9am on Tuesday, and Helen took me right away. I had just come from another spa where I was turned away because I did not have an appointment. I understand, but it's also not on a Mama's to-do list most of the time, and I try to squeeze in a pedicure day of. So, having Elegant Nails squeeze me in, was great. They do not require masks for vaccinated clients, and the employees are wearing masks. Elegant Nails is located in the Torrance Crossroads plaza next to Starbucks. It has 9 spa chairs, and at least 4 manicure tables. It was the perfect location to wait for Costco to open. There was a large selection of colors, and the prices were fair. You can pay with Zelle or VenMo so that both parties avoid fees. Helen was very polite, friendly, and did a great job on my pedicure. I loved the relaxing atmosphere so much, that I booked another appointment for 3 weeks later. I love supporting hard-working small businesses, and I appreciate the accommodation without an appointment. Cheers to my first pedicure post-Pandemic. I've been trying to find a nail spot closer to home & work, and thought I'd hit the jackpot. WRONG. The first time, I went for a fill and a couple of repairs, which Jason did for me, and I was very happy with. So far so good. Then I went in for a pedicure, polish change & repair, and it all went south. New girl Kim did my polish & repair. My nails are coffin shaped, and the repair was undeniably square. I asked repeatedly for her to just make it match the others, but she just wasn't getting it. The polish job was also a disaster...and when she smudged one while putting in the top coat, she "fixed" it by just adding more polish over the smudge, leaving it streaky and obvious. Finally, someone else care over to help after she noticed me taking pictures of my terrible repair. She reshaped the nail, fixed the top coat and waived the fee for the repair. She told me that her name was Terri, and she was the manager. I was all set to go back and see HER, specifically for a new set this week, but when I called today, I was first told that "there's no Terri here". Maybe I got her name wrong, fine. So I asked to speak to the manager, and was told "Terri isn't the manager." Um, what? I give up. Between sloppy work and not being able to easily book an appointment with the one person in the shop I was willing to trust, I'm going back to my old shop, even though it's 20 minutes out of my way. read more

Decided to try this place for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. My pedicure was great. After waiting 30 Minutes for someone else to get there because there was only 1 employee working Lan came to do my gel manicure. LAN was very rude and unprofessional. Also, I got my manicure Tuesday evening and by Friday my gel polish was already peeling off. I had to cut my middle nail off so it wasn't so obvious as I was going to an event on Saturday. Other nails are already peeing off. Gel manicures should last more than 4 days. I do recommend going to this salon. I feel like I wasted my money since I have to go back somewhere else to get them Re painted in under a week. Not mention it isn't fun dealing with an un pleasant manicurist. read more
