Well my experience is SO bad that I started my review while I'm still in the chair. I didn't have an appointment walked in and they sat me down. I waited 40 minutes which is understandable. I have NEVER in my life had a pedicure like this. The callus remover left less than 1 minutes, I paid extra for that. No soap, no blue powder, no cleaner just water. Is this even sanitary. I watched as the client next to me was worked on. The nail tech used the drill with sander on her entire foot wtf. Then she has the client remove her feet from the water and never shakes the towel or changes it. The client puts her wet feet on the towel with all the sanded polish and dead skin on it. I will never return to this place. I'll be surprised if they survive. They constantly try to up sale enhancements. I would have paid for soap!!! Regret walking in!!! I will never return. I got off work late but still decided to stop by hoping they would allow me to walk in. There was 20 mins left before the store closed! I POLITELY asked if it was ok to get a GEL NAIL MANICURE Miss HA and TONY welcomed me with open arms. Miss HA was very detailed in her work leaving my hands and nails looking amazing!!! I have gotten my nails done for years and have never had a bad experience like I did at this shop. I went in to get my gel x nails removed and the woman who helped me kept insisting that I leave them on because it will take "too long" I told her multiple times I wanted them off but eventually gave in since she wasn't taking no for an answer. She cut me multiple times and the final result of my nails were thick and uneven. It was late in the afternoon and I was the only one in the shop and you would think they will hurry and service me so I can go but they were taking their time cleaning and picking up instead of charging me. After removing my polish and filing my nails she asked if she could use the machine to smooth my nails. I said no. She went on. I said no again. She went on again I caved. I was a customer of Milan Nails a long time ago - circa 1997 to 2000. I moved away for several years and lost my regular connection to the establishment. When I returned in 2007, I found it to be overpriced and underperforming. While it is still an expensive shop, they provide an excellent mani-pedi that didn't feel rushed and is beautiful. Fortunately they put out periodic coupons. If I had one in hand, inwould definitely come back. With the coupon and a 20 percent tip, I was out the door for $30 and didn't feel upsold the entire time (only once for sea salt). read more

Expensive & waste of money!!! I usually go to lovely nails and spa in the city of Torrance but decided to go give Milan nails a try since I am not too far away. I am assuming the lady that did my nails is the owner (not sure). The lady was very friendly and kind. She first took forever to do my nails and let me tell you she did the bare minimum!!! My nails look horrible I also asked for a manicure and she ended up charging me 10 dollars less and no massage. For my pedicure, I had to tell the lady to get in there since she also did the bare minimum. I don't mind if it's expensive as long as I get a good massage and I walk out of a nail shop satisfied After two days, one of my nails fell off. I decided to pick at my nails and I literally took all of them off within less than 10 minutes. I was very disappointed since I spent 100 dollars I normally go to lovely nails, spend a little more and let me tell you my nails last over 1 month without falling off!!! read more

I thought it was worth the try so I went as a walk in and the woman behind the counter said I'd have to make an appointment for them to honor the discounted price. I called a couple of days later to make an appointment for my daughter and myself. We were scheduled on the same day at 4pm. Later same day we show up a few minutes early and we're rudely told to wait outside. When we returned at exactly 4 they completely ignored us. There were 2 employees and one was working on a customer. The free employee (or owner) was acting as if we were not there. My daughter and I proceeded to pick a color only to find a roach in the display. The fact that there was a roach was enough to tell us we should leave the place. I have been coming here with my mother for years when I am in town, and was pleased to see Kim the owner still operating even during the insanity of Covid. It was an absolute luxury to sit for a mani-pedi and there was a lot of space and shields between myself and the technicians so I did not feel threatened at all. I would avoid this place if at all possible. I wasn't able to get in with my normal place before the holidays and so I came here for a gel manicure. I had one broken nail and let her know that they did not all need to be the same length, the rest could just be filed down a bit. She proceeded to cut them down to the nail bed. The tools did not seem to be in good condition and she went to grab a new set of tools twice. When she told me to go wash my hands at the sink, there was no towel/paper towels to dry them and she pointed for me to use a dirty towel that was bunched up on the counter. They were not able to find the gel color that I chose, so they came over with a few other options, none of which what I was looking for (I was hoping for a dark red and they only had bright reds). I chose a red that looked ok in the bottle, but when she put it on my nail it was too bright. I asked if they could please switch it and she told me it was too late after painting 2 nails. Once she finally finished, she left pretty abruptly from the shop and told me I could pay at the front. The lady asked me several times if she did an ok job and if I was happy with my nails. I'm not sure what she was trying to get at with that. She also said that she would have to charge me $10 for gel removal because it took up a lot of their time. I paid $50 for a gel manicure that is peeling off 5 days later. I would take your business to one of the other great nail salons in the area. read more
