Let me tell you what happened to me here. It was a couple of days ago. I called to ask if they can do a simple v french tip design on my natural nails with regular polish. The guy on the phone said, Yes, you come now. In the first place, the decorations are horrific. Looks like a Christmas nighmare all year round. Huge ornaments hang above you full of dust from who knows how long. Anywho, I sit down for a pedi. Then the lady who is selected to do my nails, either...don't understand English or can't do the job. So, a guy comes over, tries, then fails. He is so frustrated with himself that he gets up and gives up. I can tell he is talking crap about me to all his co-workers. He comes back over to me and says to pick a color from the wall instead of the design I wanted very rudely. I almost cried. P.S. He filed my nails so thin too. I so disgusted. read more

Every time I come here they do a great job. They remember you and are very kind people that work there. I always come here to get my nails done whenever I can or have a special event. The people here are very nice which is why I have gone to this shop for about a year. However the sanitary standards are just not up to par. I came in for a nail removal and the male nail tech accidentally made my nail bed bleed because he was trying to forcefully detach the acrylic from my nail. After making me bleed he kind of made a joke and pretended to snatch my nail off. I didn't find that funny after the fact we started a soak off which was fine. He got a bowl of acetone and soaked my bloody nail in it and poured it right back into the bottle as I was leaving. He also used the drill in my bleeding nail and did not spray the tools or my nail that was bleeding with alcohol. Just cuticle oil. Another problem is the acrylic. It changes colors and sometimes it burns during application. Please do not use MMA on clients. This is why the acrylic was so difficult to remove,it burns and it changes color. Please do better guys! First time there. After reading previous reviews decided to go with Tony. Made an appointment and was seen right away. Upon arrival the previous client had just finished. Her nails were exactly what I was looking for (aside from shape, I love when acrylic nails still look natural even with a sheer polish) so I knew I was in the right place. Also client and nail tech (Tony) seemed like old friends. I always appreciate this interaction because it tends to show the loyalty in their clientele. As I mentioned, I was seen right away and in what seemed like 20/30 mins I was already happy and headed home. He was very quick while still maintaining proficiency. I came in to the shop with nails that hadn't been spruced up by anyone, but myself, since they were first done 2 months previously. Yet he never seemed to have any problems. A few times I had assumed I was nicked at the cuticle, however it was honestly only due to how meticulous he is about focusing on the details. Most nail techs leave me w a thick "cuticle slope" (have no clue how else to explain that... sorry) and I often have to then attempt to explain it to my tech. With this visit I didn't have to worry about explaining because he was already giving me what I prefer... AND without any actual nicks! Ha! Now as it grows out, there's no hump of acrylic near the cuticle (haha again not sure how to explain this ‍‍). When I did have a concern about a nail shape, he was very accommodating about removing the polish on the nail and filing a bit more. Not sure if it's just me, but I hate that feeling of being intimidated to admit when I don't like something. He seemed more interested in his client's satisfaction, which makes it more comfortable when speaking up. Shop was small but clean, cute, and stylish... without all the extra glam you end up being charged for. (He does bring out the small water, without having to first request. ) I paid 20 ($15+1 for fill, $4 tip). I definitely plan on going back. read more

The lady that did my toes was aggressive, didnt take her time & to top it off Kevin was filing my skin instead of my nails while looking away & he cut me. Then I showed him what kind of french I wanted & he say "oh easy", but failed to give me what I wanted. Never going back here again, Im usually one to speak up but I only didnt because they still need to make a living other than that I wouldve just walked out without paying because at the end of the day I'm paying for the shit. Let me start by saying I am super picky and have a lot of trouble finding a good spot, which is why I am very weary about picking a new nail place that wasn't personally recommended. My cousin and I saw the reviews and took a chance since its Sunday and everyone is closed. GREAT choice. Let's start with the service itself. Looks fantastic and no cuts. They took their time even though they were closing in 30 minutes. They didn't skimp on the little massages or anything and no grooves in the paint. The place is mega clean and well lit. Enough chairs for when it gets busy, I'd say. A lot of nail color choices and good brands. Pedi chairs are good quality and they have pillows if you want.. On top of it all, the staff is awesome. My first time here and they treated me super nice and were funny and made us feel comfortable. Would definitely come back. Tony really did an incredible job on my acrylics and Jenny and Lynn double teamed my toes and they are perfect. Would definitely recommend and ib can't wait for my fill :) read more

Sloppy work. The nail techs do not get close to the cuticle on a full set of new nails or for a pedicure. You're left with growth that looks like it's already been a weeks worth. Plus, they do not do anything with the cuticles. Lifting is not okay, that's why it's important to clean cuticles correctly. I would not recommend this place at all. read more

This used to place to go to back in 2015, but not anymore. They don't clean their tools and everytime I have came here, the owner, Tony , makes the most unnecessary comments on what set I am getting. I am the customer ,I pay for what I want. I would suggest finding an at home based nail tech. Get your moneys worth. Also they are never attentive to detail they are just trying to get you out the chair for the next person and expect interruptions while getting your nails done. Nice place. GOT Acrylic nail gel for 40 about medium length.. the only thing I didn't like is that they make their own prices and lie about their prices later. I asked the lady how much was gel she said 13 which is a lie (gel is always $10) and when another person walked in and asked she told them gel was $10. I told her that she told me $13 and she tried to deny it and changed the price of the nail length she originally quoted... so be aware of that.. I was a loyal customer for almost 3 years.. Never complained. The owners became friends.. I did leave due to not being satisfied after a while. Still never was going to yelp or complain. I brought in 6 new customers, but today was the last of ignoring the fact i pay for service and not getting 100% service. A month ago Tony did my nails, new powder gel color. I was VERY unsatisfied with the fill, it was worse then when I first walked in. I asked him to fix it and he said it was fine. So I told his wife to fix because he doesn't listen. I went back 2 weeks after, he wouldn't look at me and said Jenny would take me.. Fine..okay. Today I go in, he doesn't look at me and says he's busy, he cant take me. I came in for an acrylic gel fill and was happy to have my service provided by Tony, as I had read many reviews on him prior to coming in. The price was $28 plus tip for a gel, acrylic fill, which I think is pretty reasonable, although I saw in an older review that a customers fill was $15 plus tip. She probably didn't get them as gel polish though. But coming from La Jolla, I knew it would be cheaper here than there. I would give them 5 stars because I absolutely adore my nails and Tony did an amazing, detailed yet quick job on them. But I only gave them a 4 because it seems he might be the one of the few technicians who could do acrylics. maybe I went in on a short staffed day, but in general it seemed like they were understaffed. I had to wait about 40 minutes for Tony to finish with his two customers. While I waited for my acrylics and my little sister went to get her regular gel manicure, there were about three other workers beside Tony, and one of them seemed to be shadowing a technician. So that being said, if you're on a tight schedule I'd make sure to guarantee a reservation. But I wasn't so I was completely fine with waiting:) And I'm so glad I did because my nails are exactly what I wanted. Tony was also very helpful and friendly. Tony does such an amazing job! I never have to tell him to fix my shape of my nails; has great memory! Every other nail shop I've ever been to, they can never get every nail evenly shaped & filed. Walk-ins are always welcomed, just make sure to come during the week; you're more likely to get everything you need done at a quick reasonably time.
