Everything about my stay was great. I arrived at 11 am after flying all night, with no sleep. I asked for an early check in, but no rooms were ready. I asked for a recommendation for breakfast close by and when I returned, the lady at the front desk had upgraded me to a 1 bedroom suite. The location had easy access to the freeway and was in a safe location

BED BUGS. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE TO AVOID! Traveling for a two-month work training and got put up in this hotel by my employer. It was referred by the training company and seemed to be an okay hotel. Until I woke up to bed bugs crawling on my face and all over my bed! I found bedbugs in this hotel room on Monday, July 17, after a month of being a guest already. I immediately notified the hotel staff. Unfortunately, it's been over a week and all my contaminated belongings still haven't been treated. We had been trying to communicate with GM Bob Ayers, but he has abruptly left his job as general manager. The hotel staff has no idea how to handle the problem and they have now moved my rooms four times. They had me bag up my own items (they only offered me the flimsy clear bags that come with the hotel - so I had to go out and buy my own thick black bags). They will not allow us access to our belongings in the room; however - they will NOT treat them. They are insulting and not helpful. Now, in the fourth room since the 17th - I am in a room that is under construction - there are holes in the wall, rips in the mattress, nothing works, and the toilet seat is not even attached. They have no more options for me at all. Marriott customer service has repeatedly instructed me to reach out to hotel management to address my issues and I have, but hotel management made it clear that they still are unable to find a solution. My experience has been awful and I hope that the Marriot organization understands the imperative to make this right. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Close to Hanscom AFB, so it's convenient. Nicer rooms, nice lobby with plenty areas to sit and have good wifi. Rooms are nice, if a bit cold. Exercise room and pool are nice, but you feel like you're in a fishbowl when you work out. They serve cheese and beer/wine from 5-6pm every day, that's nice. They also put on a good breakfast, so that's good. There's a Wxyz bar at the Aloft across the parking lot. They serve dinner-like food if you don't feel like going anywhere, and don't feel like ordering in. That's nice, but Wxyz doesn't have the nicest food - it will fill your pie hole, but that's about it. Foodies don't seek that place out. Make abso-effing-lutely you get the proper price quote and save that confirmation with that price. They bent me over a barrel and BF*ed me over rates one time. Once bit, twice shy. Have the confirmation with the quoted price, or bring some lube.

Food: Perfectly cooked. Beautiful brunch buffet with very fresh selections. Would have preferred a few more traditional entree selections. Coffee wasn't very good but it's hard to serve fresh brewed coffee on days when it's so busy. Very cute and tasty desserts. Mimosas were fresh and tasty. Atmosphere: Very clean, warm, traditional New England charm. Extremely comfortable seating. Restrooms were equally clean and well kept. Value: Brunch was $300 for the two of us which included a 20% gratuity. You can't really complain about the cost when you know what you're paying beforehand. Paying staff to work Easter Sunday is expensive. Sourcing local ingredients is expensive. Using fresh ingredients is expensive. We view this experience as a one off. Glad we went but at this price it's hard to justify going back again, for Easter anyway. (Regular brunch is far less expensive.) Overall: Couldn't have been much better to be honest. But, wow, pricey for what are essentially breakfast foods.

Off of Route 2A on Lexington Road in the heart of Minutemen country, I arrived at the Hawthorne Inn, my favorite bed and breakfast in Concord, Massachusetts. The owner of the inn, Marilyn, greeted me at the entrance and showed me to my room. The inn is furnished with furniture, art, and artifacts that are representative of colonial New England of the 19th Century with other kinds of art, such as Japanese ukiyo-e prints, Haitian voodoo masks, and 17th Century Persian helmets, scattered about here and there. Walking into my room, I noticed a cat on the 4 poster bed in my room. She was friendly and didn't seem to mind me hanging out with her. http://static.px.yelp.com/photo/gsDWbndD_Nix9s_MOTuYYQ/l The room had teal wallpaper, lots of folk art, a love seat near the roll away desk, and a rattan reading chair by the bed. It was very comfortable, very cozy. I hung out in my room with the cat for a while before going out to downtown Concord for dinner. After dinner I sat in the sitting room downstairs where the fireplace was blazing and I met some of the other guests in the inn. We talked some more in the morning when we ate breakfast in the communal dining room together. Breakfast included your choice of coffee, tea, muffins and other baked goods, a seasonal fruit plate, yogurt, or granola. Rooms at the inn range from $125 - $325 per night depending on the season. After breakfast, I went into downtown Concord to look for an essay by Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self-Reliance, which I found in a book in my room. In the essay Emerson emphasizes the importance of avoiding conformity and trusting in our own ideas and instincts: "Trust thyself, every heart vibrates to that iron string...." This spirit of individuality and the belief that there is no problem that we can't handle if we apply ourselves to the solution is what attracts me to New England, to Concord, to the Hawthorne Inn. There's a sense of history there where our country was essentially founded, a creative energy burns there also where so many creative thinkers and writers lived. Walden Pond, the Minutemen Park, the old North Bridge where the "first shot heard round the world" was fired are all in Concord. It's worth visiting to remember that "Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. Nothing can bring you peace but the triumph of principles."

I got there at 4:45 and had to wait a half hour to get into the room. Got a voucher for anything I wanted from their breakfast selection. Got into room and no TV remote. Called Hotel Services. No answer. Walked to front desk and told them. She said she'd take care of it. Time goes by and finally a young woman appears at the door but she says she will talk to Maintenance. So I wait for 45 minutes. Nothing. I return to the front desk and tell her. She said something about her boss was coming in soon. So I waited some more and a very nice guy from Maintenance came with a remote but it didn't work so he messed around with the TV and left me with a remote. Maybe 20 minutes later he returned messed around with the TV again and left a remote. So that was that until this morning when I tried to take a shower. The water came out of the tub spout but did not come out of the shower. Nor did it come out of the hand-held spout so I had to take a sponge bath. This was supposed to be an accessible room. There was a fold-down seat in the shower. The containers for soap/shampoo/conditioner were on the wall behind the seat - totally not accessible if you are sitting on the seat. I left a wake-up call for 6:30. Didn't get it!!!!! The front desk said it wasn't answered. I checked the ringers on the phone. One was on high and one was on medium. By the way I would think that in an accessible room the phone would be near the bed. This was across the room on a desk. Went to the desk to complain and to say I wanted a refund. She said the only manager on duty was the food and beverage manager so I spoke to him. I certainly hope I will be given a refund. Two other notes. This was supposed to be an accessible room.

There's a pool next to the fitness center, as a nice bonus. My one gripe was with the hotel restaurant/bar. I stopped by for a drink at the end of the night, and was a bit disappointed. The old fashioned was okay, but the coordination between the bar and the kitchen (physically separated by the layout) was off. Another thing that stood out was the lack of basic amenities. Items like a toothbrush and other essentials were not provided unless we asked for them, which felt inconvenient and below standard.
