If you are considering where to get a massage look no further! Chris at Elements in Branford is by far the best massage therapist I have ever had the privilege of working with. He is creative in his use of ways to work knots and decrease reactivity in trigger points. He uses suggested breathing techniques to ease the process if you want. His pressure accommodates what you want and can tolerate. While he communicates and checks in there isn't chitchat. He is a healing presence and gifted in his vocation. By Elements' own admission, their new booking website doesn't work--and as a brand new client, I paid the price because they double-booked my appointment! This is a direct quote that I received by text message by way of explanation from them, after having planned my entire Sunday around this massage appointment (the last day of my summer vacation, I will note): "...I am very sorry about the double booking. Our online booking feature is new to us and sometimes has hiccups and we caught it as soon as we could and gave you a call..." While I appreciate that they tried to contact me, their administrative incompetence in the first place has ruined this local business experience for me. (Also, doesn't 'Business 101' dictate that it's like 10 times harder to attract new clients, than to retain old ones? In this case, the truism is proven right. Elements should have fixed their mistake by trying to rebook the existing client, not the new one, right???) read more

My visit to elements was long over due. The 40+ hour work week was really starting to take a toll on my back. I went to elements and had the best massage of my life. The therapist worked out the knots in my back that got their from poor posture from being at a desk. It was relaxing, but also pain relieving. After the massage my therapist gave me a list of stretches to do everyday to prevent the knots from coming back. Since I was in pain all summer, I knew I needed to do these. I have been doing the stretches ever since and wow what a difference. Totally recommend this place. Beautiful and welcoming inside. Great aesthetic, which is always a plus! read more

Never was able to make it to my appointment, I had to cancel last minute due to an emergency BUT dealing with the owner on the phone was outrageous! He was intimidating, arrogant and downright rude! I signed up for an appointment using the app, no where did it say that if the appointment is cancelled they charge you full price! THE APP SHOULD HAVE STATED NON-REFUNDABLE then! I was charged full amount for having to cancel for reasons beyond my means. The owner stated there was a LATE FEE obviously he is a TERRIBLE business owner as he does not know the difference between a late fee and a service that is non-refundable! This seems illegal so I definitely do not recommend this place. The owner needs to learn business ethics. TERRIBLE! read more

Very disappointed.I use to love this place .Had a therapist named Idia , she left and then I had zoey . Zoey left and they recc I use another person who they said was same as zoey and very good. ( I won't name , as I don't want to ruin her career .) ...but her hands were very rough , even with tons of lotion being applied , felt like sand paper .Her massage was awful not a typical massage more of a untrained persons massage , her breath was bad. And her moving about the table slow. I told manager when I left as well as wrote to company with no response or amends ....so figured company doesn't care ..and thus this review. unfortunately I have one gift card to still use there (I bought a few when they had good promotions) and after this experience ( and review ) thinking I should give it away as I will definitely not get a good massage. I visited Elements in Branford yesterday. I have been having a hard time finding a massage location with a massage therapist that really knows how to do a deep tissue. My wife scheduled my appointment and said the front desk was not only friendly but took the time to ask what I was interested in and also recommend the therapist who would be best for what I was looking for. Lisa was incredible and I can't wait to go back. The atmosphere was calming and each staff member I saw said hello and with a smile. read more
