This was one of the worst experiences ever. The food was really bad. I ordered the dish called "pirogi with sour cream". Got the pirogi without the sour cream, and when I asked for it, the server was very surprised and said they don't have any. The taste of most the food our party of 5 ordered was very bad. The pizza was the best Greek pizza I've had in Florida. We sat outside they allowed our dog on the patio. Looks are deceiving; it's in a kinda of in an industrial area. Being from Connecticut the "pizza capital" it was delicious. The crust was crispy the sauce was great and the pizza had the perfect amount of cheese! Was excited to try this place as they have been all over my Facebook. Figured we stop on the way home from the beach. Mistake, the server LB, was just not helpful, almost pissed that we came in at 3pm on a Saturday. I asked her what kind of soda they had, she says pepsi, that's all, I see in the front display, root beer and other flavors. Makes no sense but hey she's not happy. I asked about pizza slices shes says,not on the weekend ,I ask about the specials, she says, they dont start until 4pm. Ok then why give us that menu ??? Aha ! I ordered the stuffed peppers, big mistake, she said nobody ever orders them ! I asked if they were fresh, she says yes, guess what ? Not fresh, they were frozen, thawed out in the microwave oven , the inside was filled with water, no flavor, and extremely mushy from the microwave, you could taste that they were frozen, covered in dark red tomato sauce. We also ordered French fries, they never came, she just wanted us out. The place from the street looks abandoned and tired, the small greek salad was good the dressing was excellent. We should have ordered something that needed to be made fresh, like pizza or a gyro. Lesson learned, our server needs to work on her people skills. read more

My friends and I recently visited Eleni's Pizza Works and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with my dining experience. We ordered large Hawaiian Pizza, large Marguerite Pizza, Chicken Soup, the Greek Gyro platter with a Caesar salad on the side, Spaghetti With Meatballs. For desert we have ordered: Limoncello Mascarpone, Chocolate Mousse Cake (my favorite) and New York style Cheesecake. All food was fantastic! The meat in gyro was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the pita bread was fresh and warm. The Hawaiian pizza is the best I've had anywhere (you know they add cherries to it, it tastes so good!). The Marguerite pizza is my second favorite, the crust is crispy and thin Aside from the food, I also really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. Our server Diana was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, she handled our table of 3 adults and 4 children with a perfect display of relaxed competence. Well done! I have not expect to see something so delicious come from a small place on the outskirts of the city like this. But every dish I have had here has been fabulous. Service here was decent, not anything to tell friends and family about. I came here tonight actually with some friends and family, there was about 7 of us. We all ordered a few different things, I had essentially a turkey club. Why did it only have ONE piece of turkey on it for $11.50 I expected more. That's pathetic. We were a large party that preordered a specific menu. The staff was very friendly and worked hard to provide excellent service but the kitchen failed miserably. We started with salads and bread. The salad was good but the rolls were as hard as hockey pucks. Next came the fried mushrooms. They were the only item that came out of the kitchen hot... everything else was lukewarm at best. The pizzas were room temperature, bland and disappointing, I had hopes for the pasta but besides a very tasty meatball it was really bad. One was served with what looked like a broken sauce because the noodles sat in a large puddle of oil and both had the appearance and taste of being prepared long before it was served. Excellent service and the most accommodating staff. We had 35 people with a very last minute dinner and found Eleni's. They essentially allowed us to take over the entire restaurant and split checks between all our different parties. Two waitresses helped us all and were the friendliest to our group. We order a pepperoni and meaty meat pizza. To be completely transparent when it comes to pizza I am thin crust all the way. Eleni crust is definitely a thumb up for me. The sauce, cheese and topping we're all above par. Over all there pizza was above average and much better then the fast food chain pizza. The only downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side. However if I am ever in the Bradenton area I would order pizza from Eleni pizza works again. read more

Wow I'm so glad I found this place. I only did a quick google search of best places near me. Pizzas were very good. You don't need to order extra cheese, they do plenty. Very good and flavorful. Firm crust and toasted cheese on top. Me and my father also enjoyed the deep fried mushroom appetizer. Also, the women I spoke with on the phone was very nice and in person she was very pleasant to interact with. It looked like she also serves the guests inside. These people advertise "Best Pizza in Sarasota" THEY'RE NOT LYING!!! My 1st time here definitely won't be the last!! This Meaty Meat Pizza came to my table with just the right amount of pepperoni, ham, beef, cheese and whatever else is on it. I could tell that the crust was freshly made, hand tossed and cooked to perfection!! My server, Marina, was just beautiful!! I understand that fresh pizza does not come to the table in 5 minutes. We went to eat there because the food and service was pretty good the first time. This last time was very disappointing. We had a online coupon for By one get one free wings the staff didn't know how to redeem it the food was ok but the service was horrible There were only 3 tables with customers and the waitress never came by to offer refills or ask how everything was. When it came time to pay the check she didn't bring it to the table I has to ask for it.When I didn't put a tip on the credit card the manager asked you didn't like the service? Not everyone puts tips on their card preferring to leave cash tips. When I told her I didn't she acted like honoring The coupon was doing me a favor. An excellent experience I felt like pizza today and had some extra time, so I headed to Eleni's. That was a good decision because I ended up having an excellent lunch. I tried their Pizza Works pizza and it was even better than the photo show. The 10" size was perfect for me today. When you walk in you can find yourself a seat. Service appears to be family style, everyone waits on everyone. That worked fine for me today. The place was busy but there were always a few available seats. I had my pizza about 10 minutes after being ordered. Many customers were regulars where the servers would greet them by name. They offer outdoor seating and have a private parking lot. I found the inside of the restaurant quite appealing, the walls a nice warm color. When you first walk in there is a counter where you can order items to go. Received a bogo pizza offer from Facebook and decided to try it out. I ordered a gyro and 2 large pizzas for delivery. The Gyro was okay. Wasn't cot from the traditional rotating piece of meat. Wasn't horrible Wasn't great. I have a feeling their other more traditional sandwiches are probably better. The pizza was actually pretty awesome. The only issue I had is that i ordered 2 large pepperoni and green pepper pies. One came as ordered but the other one came full of banana peppers. I hate banana peppers so it rendered one pizza uneatable. I reached out but got no response. Don't want my money back I just want another pizza not covered in banana peppers I didn't order. At the end of the day I was impressed with their pizza (if order comes in right). They worked hard on their marketing which surely got me and other customers in the door. Just need to make sure orders are processed correctly to keep customers coming back. read more

I used to love this place. I live about 5 minutes away. However, within the last couple months I have seen a decline in service. Ordering wraps that (according to menu descriptions) have cheese, yet when I receive the order there is no cheese on the wrap. Today, I was given a 45 min delivery timeframe. It took well over an hour, and the food was close to cold and soggy (again, I only live 5 min away... there is absolutely no reason the food should be cold and soggy!!!). I know we live in a time of covid, but I am getting very discouraged with the service lately. Because I used to love this place, I have given many additional chances. I am now done. I will rarely order from here again despite the convince. They either need to start making things correctly or update their descriptions on the menu! read more

I would give it 3.5 stars based on a few issues. We were out this way for a car museum and stopped in for lunch. Our waitress was great and very friendly. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a white pizza and both were very good! Crispy crust and we loved the white sauce. The issues began when we ordered apps ( fries, broccoli bites and chicken tenders)- about 5 mins after ordering we were told that they were having to change out the fryer grease due to a grease fire yesterday and it would be another 15 minutes which we said ok great no problem. We got our pizza and finished eating and still waited probably an additional 10 minutes ( total of probably 30 minutes) on the apps. They did give us " larger portions" but I believe it would have been best to refund us on these items. Also if they had a grease fire yesterday you would think it would have all been changed before opening today. During covid they don't allow things on the tables- which is great- but we could tell the parm shaker hadn't been cleaned. Also no mask worn by staff that we could see. We used the restrooms before leaving and they were quite dirty and the men's door was sticky. I would give the food a 5 otherwise! read more
