We were in for Father's Day with family and witnessed behavior that was very disappointing. Between approximately 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., a group of young adults repeatedly went in and out of the restaurant and appeared to be taking shots from a drink dispenser/cooler outsid a truck facing Main Street. What was especially concerning was that two female employees, identifiable by their Peecocco's tank tops, joined the group outside and appeared to participate while on duty and in full view of customers and families. We also observed bartenders interacting with the group and going back and forth between the restaurant and the gathering outside. As a customer, it raised concerns about professionalism and management oversight. Where was management during all of this? The food itself was fine--nothing extraordinary, but my kids enjoy the pizza. Unfortunately, after witnessing this behavior from staff, I no longer feel comfortable patronizing this location. It was disappointing and not the type of environment I expect when dining with my family. read more

Percoco's Pizza was a carry-out stop for us after we flew into Tampa late one Wednesday night. My cousin was kind enough to pick up dinner and bring it home knowing we'd all be tired and the kids would be hungry. The menu looked great, and we actually had trouble deciding, so we asked for one cheese and one margherita. We ended up getting two margheritas by mistake, which was a bit of a letdown since we were hoping to try both. Unfortunately, the pizza itself didn't really work for us. The kids barely ate it, and overall it just didn't land the way we expected based on the reviews we'd seen. It may be better fresh in the restaurant, but this carry-out experience wasn't a hit. Arrived on a Wednesday night about 6:30pm and found access to seats at the bar with service by busy Elizabeth just back from her vacation. It was not a typical jammed atmosphere and we enjoyed conversation at the bar. Atmosphere-quieter Wednesday evening with moderate dining crowd inside and outside. Family style friendly casual atmosphere. Food-delicious, good value and portion and they are amenable to individual preferences and tastes. Our pizza and spaghetti Bolognese and garlic toast was scrumptious. Libations were good value and tasty. Service-bartender Elizabeth was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoy dining at Percoco's and find benefits in their food consistency, value and friendly helpful service. They appear to be managed well and deliver effectively and efficiently. I came here with a group of friends and we had a large reservation. The service was great and helped accommodate for our party! The area is very large with lots of seating. Our server was also very kind and helped give us recommendations. She did seem busy handling a bunch of tables, so kudos to her! The food overall was good! I had birthday rewards through local toast to use at Percoco's so off we went for dinner! We sat at a high top and Ashley was our server-she was THE BEST! She also celebrates her birthday the entire month so she was right there with me! I chose the wild mushroom pappardelle pasta with chicken and it was delicious! Bill had the pepperoni pizza which is always good there! Because it was my birthday I also got to choose a free dessert and we chose the cannolis (always yummy!) it started raining while we were there and the place filled up quickly. But you could still easily talk and hear without any trouble. And they kept the floor dry and tables cleared off to move people in and out efficiently. This place has excellent customer service! The bartenders really take the time to get to know their customers and are personable! The food and drinks here are really good. Their bar is beautiful. I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating. This is a great spot to come and grab a bite to eat, drink and be with friend and loved ones. I have stopped by a couple of times and it is often that people would come just for a shot or a drink. There's so much convenience being able to walk up to the outdoor bar. Percoco's Pasta & Pizza had so many positive reviews that we were really excited to try it. The restaurant itself is very nice; clean, upbeat atmosphere and a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal. Our waitress was also excellent. I wish I had gotten her name because she truly did a great job and deserves the recognition. Unfortunately, the pizza just didn't live up to the expectations we had going in. We ordered slices of the classic, white, and pepperoni pizzas and all three were disappointing. The slices were soggy and quite greasy, and overall there just wasn't much flavor. The white pizza in particular had a texture that was almost glue-like, which made it difficult to enjoy. The crust also lacked flavor, which is tough for a pizza place since the crust really sets the tone for the whole slice. We've been to Percoco's a few times now & have always enjoyed for a casual Italian place. They have a great HH that takes place every day plus other daily specials as well. We usually graze off the HH menu. Meatballs are a generous size & very good as well as the roasted clams, & shrimp app. The bread they give you is dressed up w/oil, seasoning, & parm cheese & it's grilled - be sure to ask for it - it's complimentary. Four of stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night. They don't take reservations, but it was a short wait until we were seating. We did enjoy beverages from their full service bar while we waited. It's a fairly casual place, with a nice menu. Prices were reasonable as well. We ordered the calamari to start and 2 large pizzas. Everything came out quickly and as expected. Pizza is my middle name. I can eat Pizza every day. We heard Percoco"s made excellent pizza. Unfortunately, we did not find it to be true. It was ok at best. We were disappointed expecting more. Since moving down to the Lakewood Ranch Area, we've found that our food palate is very different than many of the people that reside down here. I don't proclaim to be a food snob; but we know what we like. We've been consuming great Pizza & great food our entire life. What we have found that different style Pizza Pies vary. For example, if you like a Classic Grandma Pie, Valentino's does a great job. If you like classic NY/NJ round Pies Piesaneo's does a great job. We realized the name changed and it was new owners, so that prompted us try a new spot seeing that the previous Italian restaurant that was there didn't make the cut. The hostess was nice and welcoming, the waiter Arron was attentive and pleasant. The wait times for the food was respectable and everything came out as ordered. We ordered a margarita pizza, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, and chicken franchise. The lasagna was really hearty & good, no complaints on the chicken franchise or pizza, spaghetti wasn't bad, and the meatballs were all around decent a little firm but good. This is a great little spot right in downtown Lakewood Ranch with large outdoor patio seating along the sidewalk , lots of tables inside and a fantastic bar to sit at and watch the foot traffic go by outside...service has been excellent and attentive every time we've been in and this time we sat at the bar for a couple drinks and pizza--staff was super friendly! Definitely try it. I'd say this place is a win in my book. Btw there are plenty of seating. Bar is first come, first serve. A great option if you can't wait for a table. Though, outside is my preferred choice. Service is on the slower end so be patient. They are still trying to figure out tables and server ratio. Our waitress was super nice. We have been using this establishment since opening day. This is our favorite location for family and friends gathering. Food is always great, delicious, and excellent staff. This past Wednesday I guess it was one of those off days. We sat at our table at 6:50 pm. Our server came by our table right away and took our orders. Everythijng was going fine until I informed the server that how much longer before our entree comes out since it has been 45 minutes since we ordered? Instead of apologizing he removed his electronic device to check the actual time we ordered. When he noticed it has been around 45 minutes he excused himself to see why? The entree finally was served. The other problem was my daughters entree was delivered within minutes and didn't want to start until ours was brought. She didn't eat her service because it got cold. I am from NY and I can tell you, I had the large Pizza yesterday. It is the BEST PiZZA I have ever had down here in Florida where I am living for the past 10 years. I must say, The pizza is better than even New York Pizza. Just the right amount of cheese and well cooked on the bottom of the pie and thin like we like it. WOW!!! We live about 25 minutes away but frankly, I will drive to Percocos and take out a Pizza. It was the BEST!!!!!!! My husband had the chicken Parm dinner which was an decent size with the exception that the amount of zizi he had was very small. Congratulations Percocos on this fabulous pizza. I went here for dinner based on the yelp reviews, but maybe it was just an off day for the kitchen. The hosts, and servers were amazing! I would give them five stars based exclusively on how friendly and how great the service was. I love the ambience! The place was clean. The restaurant was full and yet we could hear each other the table. I thought it was decorated fashionably and contemporary, and as I mentioned, the place was clean. Unfortunately, I was very unimpressed with the food. As appetizers, we all had the monkey bread, which I felt was dry and expected a rush of butter and garlic in my mouth that never happened. The second appetizer was the fried calamari which was combined with various vegetables. The calamari vegetables were tasty, but I tasted a little too much of the flower dredge they put them in before frying. The third appetizer was the fried mozzarella balls, which I have to say or very tasty and cooked perfectly. Because there were six people in our party, I will only go through the dish that I ordered, which was the chicken Parmesan. I thought the chicken Parm looked awesome served with the pasta on the side. The outside of the chicken Parm is very delicious and crispy covered in a Layer of cheese and sauce. The problem was the chicken itself. It was actually hard. It's a very difficult for me to explain the texture other than the chicken itself was either undercooked or was a piece of squid. I hesitate to say undercooked because the color was white And there was no pink, but the texture was really bad. I love good Italian food and I have to say that I was pretty disappointed with what I ate on this visit. I will give it one more chance as I want to try the pizza too and see how that is. read more

We ordered a salad (phenomenal) to start and then spaghetti (sauce was a little runny, but meat was really good and tender), and a pizza (huge and could easily feed 3). Our family loves Percoco's, but our visit last night takes the cake. First off, all of our meals were delicious. My kids love their spaghetti and get it with a meatball. My sister had the Chicken Francese, which she said was awesome. My husband tried the Italian beef sandwich, and he is from Chicago. He said it was one of the best he's had since moving to Florida. Now, for my personal experience. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo. It has prosciutto and was delicious. This was my first meal out since finishing chemotherapy. And, it was the first meal that I absolutely loved. I told our waitress about it. She was so amazing, and when she brought back our check, she said "The fettuccine is on the house. Congratulations on completing chemo. I love that." It made me cry and made our meal that much more special. So, thank you Percoco's. read more

Apparently we went three weeks after they opened and recently went back after being opened for 6 weeks. The reason I mention this is this restaurant runs like a well oiled machine. Everyone says to give these new restaurants a chance to get it right. Percoco's has had it together from the get go! An excellent well trained staff who are very inviting. The food each time we have come has been absolutely fantastic. The cheese pizza will be my new go to which I drove a ways to get. Now I only have to drive 13 miles for this perfection. Yesterday was the 2nd time a group of my friends and I celebrated birthdays at Percoco's. I made the reservation 2 weeks prior and requested the booth in the back. As before, I must tell you that the owners were accommodating to a large group, our server, Ireland was as amazing as the 1st time and the food was delicious . We eat there often. The food here is exceptional--I'm from New York, and this is hands-down the best pizza I've had in Florida; it's the closest to home I've found.
