Cool little coffee shop in north phoenix. I ordered the cold brew and it was overall a good, smooth cold brew. Nothing amazing but it did the job. It seems like a lot of people come here to study and hang out so this is a good place if your looking for a coffee shop to relax and hang out in for a couple hours or so. With this area of Phoenix being surrounded by chain restaurants, it's nice having a local coffee shop. read more

I just discovered this place, which is right by my work. It was a really nice find. Being from Central Phoenix, I get picky with coffee shops. This place is not a chain and that is what hit the spot for me. I had lunch there. My order was vegetarian crapes. It was super Delicious; however, I must say that crapes were not the best crapes I have had. However, let me mind you I am a crape guru. Being from Europe, we grow up eating super crapes so I get really picky and judgmental when it comes to those. Service was super nice and I liked how we were introduced to all employees when we first walked in. They were all ready to help and answer any questions we may have. Place was very cozy with the big holiday tree and a lots of decorations. We were traveling up I 17 toward Prescott I am looking for a place to get a quick bite to eat. I remembered elevate coffee so decided to order from them. They don't take phone orders, but have their own app call. It was very easy to download and within minutes I had placed my order. We arrived at elevate about five minutes later, and our order was already complete and ready for pick up. The staff is very friendly at the food is delicious. I really enjoy this place, it's not really a huge breakfast place but definitely an amazing coffee shop. I would always get the breakfast burritos or crepes. But when I was real young, before we went to see a movie my dad would bring me here to grab a scone or muffin and he'd get a coffee. It's real nice, they have areas you can rent for meetings, areas that you can sit alone quietly for focusing, and they have a stage for live bands. It's a neat place and I love going here. Wonderful coffee shop. I come here regularly to work because of the atmosphere; warm, friendly, filled with smiling baristas and smiling customers. I go for a simple coffee or hot tea, both of which can be refilled for free. There's a lot of specialty drinks that look delicious. They all seem great, so don't worry about picking their "best drink" - you will be happy with anything. The WiFi is spotty. If you plan on working, expect it to be down for 5 minutes every 20 minutes. Normally I'd never go back to a place with bad wifi, but Elevate is a hard place to pass up. Busy on the weekends, though there is usually enough seating. The live music on Friday and Saturday can be a hit or miss depending on what kind of music you like. read more

Super awesome little spot! Came here after a short hike to thunderbird mountain and honestly thought we would have to dine and dash due to the corona virus but we came here as were greatly welcomed with awesome service. Also, outside the seating was separated at least 6 feet from each table. I also had my pup and was welcomed to sit. The whole awesome was great. The regular drip coffee was delish and I had the breakfast burrito which did not disappoint! Just wish I didn't have to pay for the extra salsa for my burrito (I could have used three containers total, I like spice). Definitely will be coming back for more! read more

I was at this coffee shop on Monday, 10/24/22 after my hike; a treat. The young man taking orders around 11am was too busy chatting up a young female customer to wait on me. After realizing that she had ordered but the employee was still socializing, I asked if there was anyone else working the 2nd register. The kid looked at me and flatly said "NO" and then returned to his intended conquest. I promptly left and decided that I didn't need to keep this coffee shop on my agenda after a hike or any other activity. It's a shame cause I had enjoyed the coffee and food there. I have always had a great experience here. No complaints whatsoever...until this morning. A few weeks ago, I gave my email information to receive a free drink. I've been here dozens of times without any necessary promotions but if they're offering a free drinks for emails, why not? Well my email came with an expiration date of 7 days. On day 6, I pack up my infant and head up for some free Sunday morning coffee. I get there, only to realize that I had left my phone at home (or so I thought) and had no way of showing the email. I explain the email to the barista (Rachel, I think) along with my situation but she doesn't know what promotional email I'm talking about and says she needs the code off of the email in order to honor it. I told her that I understand that not everyone is trustworthy and don't blame her for needing to see the email. I go ahead and order my coffee anyways and hang out for a minute before heading back out to the car. As soon as I get to the car I see my phone underneath my driver side seat. I pull up the email and walk back in to show the barista. She stares at me dumbly as I show her the email as if she doesn't quite understand why I am showing her. 1. I wanted her to know I wasn't lying and 2. I thought it was important for the employees to know what kind of promotional offers their customers might have because there is in fact, no code on the email. I didn't intend to use the coupon for a second drink but when she continued to just blankly stare at me I felt like I needed to have an excuse to be talking to her so I went ahead and ordered a second drink with the coupon. Slightly embarrassed I step aside and waited for my drink. I watch her interactions with the girl who was cooking food off to the right. They exchange quick glances at me and talk quietly among themselves shaking their heads and rolling their eyes. I felt extremely belittled and almost would have rather walked out right then without getting my coffee to avoid further embarrassment. Treatment today sucked and has left a bad taste in my mouth. I feel bad that this is my only review on this log-in as I've been using Yelp for years but I had to write a quick review on this place immediately after I left: In a nutshell, 2 stars means to me "I probably won't go back and it was below expectations." I'd give an average Starbucks experience 3-stars for reference. I went in for a cappuccino (16 oz) and a breakfast burrito. Total cost was about $12 and then throw in another $2.00 for the on-the-spot tip I coughed up before I received anything. No ability to leave a custom tip (that button was "broken") and it was the lowest amount one could tip as the cashier is hovering over you. I had to ask for the wi-fi password two times, was told two different passwords, and neither one of them worked. You have to sit down and come up and grab your coffee at the bar just like any other joint. The barista shouted out my name and I picked up my drink without any acknowledgement or a "thanks". They did bring the breakfast burrito out to my table though. The breakfast burrito was incredible bland and had no flavor. The tortilla was okay but honesty a McDonald's burrito has more flavor. Salsa was weak as hell and probably came from a jar / can as it had that Pace-Picante like preservative taste. The cappuccino was almost nearly 50% foam and came in paper cup. It just kind of sucked, ya know? When I was done with my meal they have an area where I had to return my dirty dishes. Pretty awesome considering the local Waffle House actually has a waitress that'll pick up after you for leaving a tip. I spent ~$14 and just wolfed down my food and coffee because I was just so disappointed I wanted to get the hell out of there. Honestly, if you're looking for a place to waste time in north Phoenix as you check your social media accounts on your overpriced MacBook, it's probably an okay place. The place has a good location next to a movie theatre that probably drives in business and there's very little competition in the area for this coffee house to compete against. If you put this place in Tempe, Scottsdale, or downtown Phoenix it probably wouldn't last. All in all, "M-E-H." read more
