2.5 stars. Let's start with the stylist. She was extremely personable and we enjoyed great conversation. She asked questions and made sure I was comfortable. She could have high stars for customer service. I had mention how much I hated my Deva finish the last time I went to a salon (different business) and she was wanted to make sure that didn't happen again. I have been to this salon before but under different management when it was still Barbara Forigone salon. Fast forward... Today, I am going home $300+ dollars later disappointed with the finish. Curly hair is NOT a easy venture so I do not wish the job on anyone. But when I am paying that kind of money and seeking a salon that specializes in Deva cut/style, then my experience should be great. I honestly looked better before I arrived to get the service. I was left with very frizzy hair with little curl definition and looked dry. Yikes! Now I have to go home and do it myself....again. I have no doubt that the cut and color is fine once I style it but you don't pay this much money just to leave the salon not looking your best and going home to redo your hair. I went to visit my dad afterwards at work and he is like "I thought you said you were going to the salon?" (Cues sad music.) Deva has a HUGE line of products and very specific methods. This shouldn't be happening. I think in the future, BEFORE going to any salon with Deva...you have to ask, how long has your stylist been doing it, ask for pics , and may even have to ask for someone that has their own curly hair. I'll be looking elsewhere. The salon has a new owner so it may take some time to build her Deva professionals. read more

The first time I went the service was nice. She cut my hair how I wanted it to look like and did some highlights. I asked her to tone it to a light brown and she did almost 3 shades darker than what I wanted. Whatever because it fades through shades over time. I recently went back for a regloss and I showed a new stylist what i wanted which again was a light brown color. And then she put RED in my hair dye without consulting with me. Its so important to tell the client what color is going into the dye and to ask to look at it again to be sure. RED! My hair was red in the sun and it looked awful!!!!! I called and told her that my hair was red and she offered to fix it. She told me to fix it she had to put a bit of a darker color but it wouldnt be as dark as my roots. When i tell you my hair is freaking the darkest shade of brown right before jet black..... like i can never just get what i ask for!!! Not only BUT PAY FOR??!!! I wont be going back I lost $85 and yet again my trust in hairstylists. I paid so much last time to put highlights in my hair just for her to put the darkest color. read more

This was my first time here, and Maggie was excellent! I hadn't been getting anything more than trims for years, so I was a bit nervous about cutting a few inches off my hair and getting it shoulder-length. But I'm so in love with my cut -- and it's all thanks to Maggie! The only other Deva cut I'd had before (at a different salon) turned out really bad, but Maggie helped restore my faith in these haircuts. She paid close attention to detail and cut pesky stray hairs that a lot of less patient or precise stylists would've ignored, made sure I was happy with how much length she was cutting off, and even fixed my side bangs (which had been awkwardly cut by my last stylist). Additionally, I was unsure about whether I wanted layers and she suggested that I get a few, which was an excellent idea because the layers she cut gave my hair more body and prevented it from becoming shapeless. In short: After driving 2 hours to my usual stylist in Orlando whenever I needed a haircut, I'm so relieved I found Maggie, who I feel I can fully trust with my hair. As for the salon itself, the atmosphere was laid-back and friendly, and the prices are more than fair. I've heard good things about other stylists there, especially Peggy and Nicole, so it's nice knowing that there are multiple talented stylists you can rely on in case your usual one is unavailable. Sadly, Barbara passed away a couple of months ago. Prior to her passing she sold her salon to Tuya Page under the assumption that she would continue the hard work and vision that Barbara worked so hard to create. This has turned out to be the exact opposite of what has happened. Tuya Page has fired all of the employees that worked so closely under Barbara. It is so sad that Barbara's hard work is being destroyed by this new owner. I had an appointment schedule for a Yuko hair straightening. Tuya Page called me a week before and asked if I would be willing to reschedule for a thirty percent discount. I thought she was just implying that she had overbooked my appointment, but then told me my stylist was no longer working there. The new stylist she wanted me to use has never done Yuko straightening before! Why would I trust be hair to someone who has never used this chemical process before? I am sad for Barbara's legacy but am hopeful that her legacy will now be carried on at Salon Eunoia which is located on Henderson Blvd. Do yourself a favor and go there!! read more

I have been trying to grow out my thick blond hair for years. It would never grow bc the stylist would highlight me, put me under a dryer, over process my hair and it would break constantly. I found Barbara at a beauty expo about a year ago. My hair is now 6 inches longer and is the healthiest it has ever been in my adult life. She is amazing with color and what used to take someone 3-4 hours just to highlight she can do in less than an hour and she doesn't use any heat to bring up her colors so your hair doesn't suffer. The staff was very friendly, and have since followed up leaving a voicemail weeks later to ask how my cut was working out for me.
