In 2024 they replaced the TXV but never assessed whether the prolonged TXV failure had damaged the compressor -- which is standard practice after such a repair. After the TXV replacement I reported the same symptoms again. Techs came out, found nothing, cleared the system. I was also enrolled in and paying their monthly maintenance program during this entire period. On the third visit they finally diagnosed a failed compressor -- and their own technician's written report states the TXV failure damaged the compressor. The warranty is valid through July 16. Despite this, both the manager and owner denied warranty coverage and are comfortable with me filing complaints -- so that's exactly what I'm doing with Washington State L&I, the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division, the BBB, and Trane corporate directly. If you're a homeowner considering their maintenance program, ask specifically what they document and check on every visit. I paid monthly fees expecting my system to be monitored -- a developing compressor failure went undetected across multiple visits.

At the time it was already aging and maybe had a few years left, but you couldn't beat repair vs replacement! The time has come last year to actually replace the entire system after the furnace also gave out. King's came out, did an inspection, quoted 3x different options from very moderately priced to all-electric heat pump only setup. We decided to go with the heat pump to eliminate the furnace all together. Financing was well explained and reasonable. Installation took 2-3 days due to the furnace being all the way in the attic above the 2nd floor. It has now been over a year since the install and we've weathered freezing temperatures really well. Happy with the new system, and happy we don't have a gas appliance above our head that needs a drain pan and an exhaust! We trust this business and definitely recommend them as they do quality work and will be honest and up front about all your options.

I needed the airflow balanced in the system so all the rooms were the same temperature. After calling my current HVAC company and finding out they couldn't help me, I started looking. Turns out not many do this. Fortunately for me, Legacy One Heating does. After talking with Karl and having him look at the system, he came up with a plan to resolve this. I scheduled an appointment, and two very professional and caring men came out to fix the problem I was having. Collin and Brian are excellent! We talked about what they were going to do and how they would balance everything. They listened to my thoughts about labeling corresponding components, and went to work. After they made the changes to the ducts, they went around and balanced the airflow coming out of each one so that the airflow evenly covers the whole house. It's a tri-level, so that's three floors with ducting. Lots to consider when balancing the system. I have to say that I am thrilled with how well the system is now working! I no longer need to wear a sweatshirt when I go into my office to work. It's not cold anymore! In fact, there are no longer any cold spots in the house. Just even temperatures throughout. Needless to say, Legacy One is now my HVAC partner. They do everything around a furnace. They are interested in what I have to say, and they are true professionals. I paid for them to send a tech to diagnose it and they followed through with the work which is under the 10-year warranty. Tech, Hagen was very nice and professional and made sure to answer all of my questions. Why did I agree to the third appointment? Because the owner promised us a full refund PLUS $1000 if they didn't show for the last appointment. Despite them not showing for the last appointment, and sending me an email stating they would be sending me a check, it never showed up. I've tried calling, texting, and emailing them to resolve the issue, but they're definitely ignoring the problem. This was months ago, and to date, I've not received the service we paid for, received a refund, or even received a reply about the issue. We're now out hundreds of dollars, and I missed three full days of work for nothing.
