Today is the hottest day on record in Western WA. Today Genesis came out and replaced my old furnace with a new a/c and heat control unit. Mike and his team came out and did an excellent job with a tidy install even though the temperatures outside were over 100F. I just decided to get a/c installed last week and it's already done. Called Genesis to look at a faulty heat pump. After checking over the unit determined that it needed to be replaced. Paid the $113 charge. Was told that they would provide a quote for a new unit . Did not hear anything in 3 days so I called the office. The lady apologized and informed me that the quote should only take one day. I was told she would pass it onto the owner. After another 5 days I called CM Heating. What a difference. They sent someone out the same afternoon, provided quotes for different options on the spot and, after I selected a unit, the install is scheduled in 5 days. I am still waiting for the quote from Genesis. read more

Mike and his team were absolutely fantastic. I called on a Saturday mid day and wouldn't you know it, he answered and took time to talk with me without making me feel like I was taking up his time. He promptly scheduled a team to come look at my heat pump and worked with my schedule. They quickly diagnosed the issue (failed fan motor which took out the condenser) and after talking with him while the team was still there, he was able to provide me with a ballpark estimate and then get me a final estimate the same night, when he said he would. His communication is top notch, a straight shooter, didn't oversell me on anything, and thanks to a cancelation in his schedule, fit me in within a matter of days. Overall I could not recommend him enough and any and every time I hear someone looking for HVAC help, he will always be my one and only recommendation. Genesis is amazing. The ground is covered in snow, it's freezing outside. I realized our furnace had stopped working around 4:50pm. I called genesis and they were able to send someone out within 15 minutes. It's now 6:00pm and my furnace is up and running again and my kids don't have to sleep in a freezing cold house. Asked for recommendations for a local company to service and clean our system and Genesis was highly recommended. Called and spoke to Mike the owner, was able to get an appointment within a day. On our appointment day, he called to let me know he could come earlier, and arrived shortly thereafter. He gave our system (electric furnace and heat pump) a thorough check, offered great advice on what to look for as far as build up or problems, and offered more advice on annual upkeep for the heat pump to avoid issues. The company offers excellent customer service, thorough, and clean and they have coupons that cut the bill in half. But the most important thing is how Mike gave us the tools of knowledge to help keep our system in top condition for many years. I also highly recommend them. read more

When I had received horrible service from G&S for the third time in a row, I finally broke down and started looking for a new heating and cooling guy. Called on a Friday afternoon before a holiday. They were in the area so they came right over. They identified the problem in minutes, did a quick fix and my A/C came back to life. I had a coupon for a 30-minute consult so there was no charge. They didn't try to up-sell me something I didn't need -- they just did the job. Since I had some time left on my free half-hour, they blew the cottonwood seeds off the A/C fan outside. These guys are fantastic! Honest. Experienced. Pleasant. What more can I ask for? Nothing. Lost my heat in the flooding of the crawl space in late November---brrr! The owner, Mike, sent someone out right away, and worked "outside the box" to find a way to get me heat again, but reworked in a different way, so that the system is no longer vulnerable to flooding, AND it turned out to be less than the estimate! The crew under "Skip" was courteous and hardworking, and made sure to leave no mess. They went beyond the scope of the work at one point because there was an opportunity to "do it right" at that time rather than just slap it in. The owner did everything he could to keep costs down, mentioning that there were flood vouchers available to cover dump fees, and taking back some materials that were not used.
