This restaurant is fantastic. Great service, tasty food, relaxing atmosphere, and exceeded all expectations in giving us a great dinner experience. However - the final bill was given to us as a total charge and not broken out/itemized.... Once we already paid and tipped, we found out that the bill already included a service charge. I don't appreciate tipping twice and being blindsided.

Very nice scenery especially the fish on the wall & adequate seating I was very impressed with my Quinoa, I would definitely recommend it! I asked for extra cinnamon on the side & it was absolutely amazing. 5 star meal The all American Breakfast are what you would expect from a breakfast place... the potatoes were very bland, very sad about that. The service was very fast & the staff was very friendly.

I had the small Caesar salad and it was nice and refreshing. It had pine nuts which added a different delicious touch to the Caesar salad. I had a slice of pepperoni pizza and it was okay. My friend also ordered the Margherita pizza. For dessert I had the traditional sundae and it was very delicious. It was a good late night meal.

I ordered Fish and Chips and it was so very good. So mouth watering The fish was fresh cod and the chips naturally were fries, but well seasoned fries. The place was in the Crowne Plaza, and I came down to check it out. I'm glad I did! I went ahead and ordered the Chocolate Bundt Cake for dessert to go I can

This was the restaurant in my hotel when I was staying downtown Seattle. They were the most reliable and dependable place I ate at the entire trip. When it was 12:30am and EVERYWHERE else stopped serving food. Guess who was?! This place. After a night out being drunk I needed food. I literally walked around blocks and blocks looking for a bar or something that still had their kitchen open. Nope. This place. I got me a French Dip Sandwich with fries. VERY GOOD food for the price. I actually ate here twice. The bartender was attentive, funny and just made my eating experience a good one. The 2nd time I came here was for lunch before my plane left. I had the roast beef sliders and the Sesame Crusted Tuna. The food at this restaurant was just plain good. You hardly expect that from hotel restaurants, but this one really impressed me.

Jook and pork sung in breakfast buffet

Running late after a shopping mission to Pike's Place, we rushed back to our hotel for a quick meal before our trade show started. Remembering that we had a decent dinner here last year, we decided this was the most logical option. There is an ala carte menu besides their breakfast buffet. Worrying about the wait time, buffet made the most sense. They pretty much have the standard scrambled eggs, breakfast meats (sausage and bacon), and potatoes in addition to a cold meats and cheese platter and lox and bagels. There were a few salads and breakfast pastries too, but the kicker was the left side table. There were two heated pots which I thought were oatmeal, but, to my surprise, one had porridge... as in, jook (http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=XmaWT6CI6gmtMHhXL6zs_A&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q)! I wasn't sure as the consistency was extremely thick... as in Elmer's glue... but the condiments around the pot along with the chopsticks confirmed my guess. There were thousand year-old egg wedges, Japanese pickled radish, and shredded pork soong, a popular accompaniment to Chinese porridge. The meal selection was decent especially for the price which was under $20.00 per person. A neighboring diner had an order of steak and eggs which made me second guess myself, but, given our time constraint, this worked well. The dining room was about 1/3rd full when we started, but it was more than half full when we left as the UCLA soccer team had their meal call. What knocked the review down a step was the service... or lack thereof. After we quickly decided on the breakfast buffet, we were offered drinks which were brought relatively quickly. Sadly, they were not replenished and, being a buffet, the no-no service wise is when plates start to pile up on the guests' table. I can understand if the servers were swamped or there were unexpected problems, but it seemed that they were more caught up in socializing with diners and themselves than tending to the guests' needs. I hope that they take note of this as this is totally opposite from our server from my previous review who truly made us feel at home during dinner here.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

I am so grateful for my experience at Life On Mars. It turned out to be the highlight of a…read moretumultuous Seattle trip and I look back on it fondly. We came here mostly for one thing: I absolutely could not wait for their gluten-free vegan chick'n pot pie. A pie i'd been waiting months to try. A pie unlike any other pie. A pie that I still think about to this day. We walked straight into a Cardi B drag show. And by "walked into" I mean we opened the door and Hot Pink Shade sashayed right in front of us. It was exactly the kind of welcome we love. It was also the first green flag in a sea of green flags at Life On Mars. I could barely sit still as I waited to order my GF/VG pot pie. We got the drinks outta the way (a peach hard cider for me and a fancy-schmancy cocktail for the lady). I was positively GIDDY when Anna came to take our order and I blurted out chick'n pot pie excitedly. I nearly died when she said they didn't have any. Normally it wouldn't have been such a big deal, but I was from out of town and had literally been craving this damn pie for months! And I lied, I didn't nearly die but I DID nearly cry and that's almost as bad. Even the bestie lamented about what a let down this was. Anna. Dear, sweet Anna. We must have looked really hard up because this sweet baby angel offered to ask the cooks if they could whip one up special just for me. Let me tell you why this is a big deal: For one, she didn't need to do that. That's going above and beyond, and she was such a graceful little buttercup when she did it. Second, making a gluten free biscuit is a finicky, precise, detailed process. It sucks, honestly, and I don't blame them for not having them every day. I nearly cried when she came back and told us the cooks said YES. And this time i'm not lying. It was beyond the type of customer service i'm used to. It was.... humane. It was...empathetic. It was...totally first world problems but it meant so much to me! Especially since Anna said it had been a DAY and she was at her wits end. For her to have a rough day and still have the grace and compassion to make my stupid GF/VG chick'n pot pie dreams come true.....well, yeah, it made me a bit teary eyed. The pot pie was delicious, as expected. It was nostalgic and comforting, like a big hug in a bowl. The flavors were rich and deep, the biscuit soft and flaky; it was one of the most delicious things i've tasted on my GF/VEG journey. Between the food, the drinks, the customer service and the drag show......this was five stars all around. No doubt. I don't see the GF chick'n pot pie on their menu anymore. Maybe it's a seasonal thing? I hope it comes back, i'll be checking. And when it pops up again, so will I. Thank you, Anna. Thank you to the cooks on 2/19/26. Thank you to Hot Pink Shade, ISIS and King Leo Mane. Just, thank you.
