Elevation Lounge is located in the Crowne Plaza hotel in downtown Seattle. It's on the second floor of the hotel that serves breakfast during the day and is a restaurant/lounge in the evening. For drinks I ordered the old fashioned ($13.70) and the mai tai ($17). The old fashioned was standard and solid. The mai tai was definitely on the sweeter side but was decent. Lady waitress was very nice, the only time we saw her was to take our drink order and bring the bill. The person that took our food order didn't write anything down. BRUNCH/BREAKFAST FOR CHUMPS AND CHUMPS I was very disappointed, I spent $96 for brunch for two adults and one child. You have the option to order off the menu or breakfast buffet. The buffet consisted of French toast, overcooked potatoes, and pork sausage, so we ordered from the menu. My wife and I ordered the sunrise breakfast which should be called the rainy and gloomy breakfast. Yes, you can mess up eggs, bacon, and potatoes. I asked for over-medium eggs with my bacon cooked soft. I got one egg cooked hard, one medium, and 2 of 3 bacon strips were soft. My wife's bacon was extra crispy and then we got the same trash breakfast papas on the breakfast bar. Insult to injury 18% service charger (gratuity) was automatically added. I have experienced this in fine dining restaurants that have been exceptional, but never in a hotel restaurant. I don't recommend going to the many restaurants that are less than a 10-minute walk away. read more

This was the restaurant in my hotel when I was staying downtown Seattle. They were the most reliable and dependable place I ate at the entire trip. When it was 12:30am and EVERYWHERE else stopped serving food. Guess who was?! This place. After a night out being drunk I needed food. I literally walked around blocks and blocks looking for a bar or something that still had their kitchen open. Nope. This place. I got me a French Dip Sandwich with fries. VERY GOOD food for the price. I actually ate here twice. The bartender was attentive, funny and just made my eating experience a good one. The 2nd time I came here was for lunch before my plane left. After we got our order taken (25 minutes into sitting down), we waited another 30 minutes for the food only for 1 of our orders to not even be placed. Staying in Crowne Plaza got us a couple of breakfast vouchers & I redeemed them today for a lazy Sunday. The spread is decent, combined with good service & some great coffee. They have an assorted cereal bar, some sweet bread spreads & jams. There was some assorted bread & toaster as well. I asked for some poached eggs, which were wonderful. Since there was no menu, did not know if they do a Benedict, maybe next time I will find out. On the buffet was scrambled eggs, grilled mushrooms, baked beans, bacon & turkey sausages. There were a counter with oats & toppings, which I avoided. There were some fresh fruit & flavoured yogurt. Running late after a shopping mission to Pike's Place, we rushed back to our hotel for a quick meal before our trade show started. Remembering that we had a decent dinner here last year, we decided this was the most logical option. There is an ala carte menu besides their breakfast buffet. Worrying about the wait time, buffet made the most sense. They pretty much have the standard scrambled eggs, breakfast meats (sausage and bacon), and potatoes in addition to a cold meats and cheese platter and lox and bagels. There were a few salads and breakfast pastries too, but the kicker was the left side table. The meal selection was decent especially for the price which was under $20.00 per person. A neighboring diner had an order of steak and eggs which made me second guess myself, but, given our time constraint, this worked well. The dining room was about 1/3rd full when we started, but it was more than half full when we left as the UCLA soccer team had their meal call. What knocked the review down a step was the service... or lack thereof. After we quickly decided on the breakfast buffet, we were offered drinks which were brought relatively quickly. Sadly, they were not replenished and, being a buffet, the no-no service wise is when plates start to pile up on the guests' table. I can understand if the servers were swamped or there were unexpected problems, but it seemed that they were more caught up in socializing with diners and themselves than tending to the guests' needs. I stood at the hostess stand for 5 minutes till she arrived. She curtly asked me my room number and informed me that it would be a 15-30 minute wait for a party of one. I observed a minimum of six two top tables that were bussed and ready to be seated. I observed for a few minutes and it was obvious that she wasn't seating the other waiting guests either. She was neither friendly or apologetic for the wait and offered no explanation as to why she would not seat me. So, I went here late night on a weeknight. The service and the ambiance were impeccable. I was served even after closing. The small pizza was enough to add a 100 pounds. The drinks were acceptably and expectedly small but no rocks made them strong enough. I typically have low expectations when dining in a hotel's restaurant but walked away pleasantly surprised after eating at Regatta Bar & Grill. The meal started off with warm wheat bread (my request) and cold crisp salads. Our entrees consisted of a 12oz Prime Rib for the Mrs. and Lobster Mac & Cheese for me. I ended up devouring 70% of my meal and at least 6 oz of the Prime Rib. The meal was so delicious, we decided to eat there again the following night. I ordered my own 12 oz Prime Rib and despite offering up a small slither to my wife, devoured the remaining 11.99 oz! Ask for John if you decide to check this place out. The service here was incredible! My boyfriend and I went on a friday night and it wasn't overly busy. Our waitress made sure to check on us regularly and she recommended a lot of items to us. We got a pizza and the cobb salad and both were really good. We also ended the night with the creme brulee and it came with fresh berries which were awesome. I thought that the price was pretty fair for the amount of food that we received and how good they were! The couple of drinks that we got on the cocktail menu were delicious as well! I'm giving this a 2 because service for me is huge, and when you're automatically given an 18% tip that doesn't mean you ignore customers because you can. Service here is awful. We have been staying at the hotel for work and have come here several times; never has it been so busy that your meal should take you an hour to finish. As a customer you shouldn't have to ask for a water refill, a box, or your check. Wait staff are inattentive and not sorry about it. The atmosphere was quite reserved compared to most of the bar and grills in my home state. Overall there were no complaints regarding the food. The service was, however a little slow for the number of people at the location and there were a couple of instances of confusion when I asked for the check to be split. BBQ Chicken Pizza here is pretty darn good. The price may be iffy but you are at a hotel, so it makes sense. Also, the regular fries are pretty good, too. Service can be hit or miss and lately they keep missing. I understand that it can be annoying to open different tabs for different people at the same table but if I walk up to the bar separately from my group (I came late) I don't think I should be given attitude for wanting to start my own tab. They have a lot of cool cocktails if you want to try something new. However, if you're only looking for drinks, I'd take a walk to Dragonfish. read more
