We worked with Shelley for about six months leading up to our wedding, and she was incredible every step of the way. She was organized, responsive, and made sure every detail was thoughtfully planned. The day before the wedding, Shelley met with us one last time to walk through everything and ensure our vision would come to life exactly as we imagined. On the big day, everything went perfectly. The service was seamless, the food was delicious, and our guests had an amazing time. I do have to mention that the appetizers we picked out were a hit with everyone! We even had a photobooth arrive midway through the reception, and the team accommodated everything smoothly. It's a no for me. My husband made reservations for Valentine's Day about a month in advance. We arrive and we're seated near an air vent that's blowing cold air in February. Some servers apologized profusely about it, explaining that they have no control over the facilities since they're in the Hyatt. Although we didn't request it, they also explain that they can't move us because all the tables are reserved. We took it well and acknowledged that it was out of their control. About five minutes later, a couple showed up. The staff tried to seat them at the table next to us, and they immediately requested to be reseated. After a short wait, they were reseated at another table with a nice window view. Confusing. Didn't you just say that all the tables were reserved? My husband brought this up to our server, who looked uncomfortable and called over the general manager, John. John couldn't have handled it worse. In a situation where your staff just got caught giving different treatment to customers, you own it, fix it, and commit to ensuring your staff are corrected. Instead, John made some strange excuses, and then started in with the whole "it's not what it looks like" saga. I'm Black. He was implying that their preferential treatment of the other customers wasn't race-related (we hadn't brought up race at all). He's defending his staff, saying he knows what kind of people they are, and they wouldn't do that. He is arguing with himself to convince us that they're not racist, which actually convinced us that's exactly what was going on. We left and headed straight to our comedy show without having dinner. John offered to move us and comp our dinners, but it felt like we were only being accommodated because they got caught. They had an opportunity to move us way earlier when I was sitting there freezing. If you're Black, or you care about people being treated fairly, don't even bother with this place. read more

Fantastic luxury restaurant with a large space inside the Hyatt downtown Seattle. The service was perfect, did not have to wait on anything, and the food was timed perfectly. For drinks, the Masterhatten was deliciously crafted for a high end drink and garnished with Luxardo cherries. Now for the main stars, the food. To start the popcorn shrimp was cooked perfectly to a light golden brown with tender bites of shrimp in a light batter. This is one of the best appetizers I've had and paired well with the lemony aioli and the sriracha. Next, the Caesar salad was served on a cold plate and had fresh cracked pepper if requested. The bread was light and fluffy inside with salted butter on the side. For an entree, the waygu filet was absolutely worth it and was very tender, flavorful, and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Also decided to add on about a 12 ounce lobster tail that complemented the meal and it was served with clarified butter that was kept hot with a flame. The entree also came with a huge fluffy baked potato with bacon bits, butter, and sour cream on the side. Overall, this is one of the best steakhouses I've been to with premium options. It is on the more expensive side of restaurants but for the quality of the food, it was worth it. read more

I was really excited to come here, but the entire experience was underwhelming. The server seemed really unhappy to be working and hardly checked on us outside of taking our order and delivering our food. We both ordered steaks, and they were just okay. For being a "high-end" and pretty pricy restaurant, I just wasn't impressed with the food. The Caesar salad was basic, our steaks were slightly overcooked (more medium than medium rare), and the baked potato was bland. The dessert was just okay. Again, I was just expecting so much more. My mom and I stopped in here for a quick dinner before a concert at the Paramount. It was incredible. The man who sat us and our waiter, Tory, were so kind, considerate, and humorous. Tory asked us what time we needed to be out of there by and stuck to it. They had no problem splitting our meals to two plates either. Steak sandwich was juicy and flavorful. The menu claims that service charge is "included", but when you get the check, they add on a 20% service charge to the total amount. Apparently "included" means "not part of the price you pay". Very dishonest and misleading tactic. Food was okay but nothing spectacular. The quality of the steak was so so kind of tougher than most. They charge a 20% surcharge in addition to the cost of the meal and tip. So you would pay 40% of the cost of your meal if you tipped 20%. I visited Daniel's bar on two nights during my recent stay for a conference. Both experiences were mediocre at best. On the first night, the service was good, although the food was very underwhelming for the price. On the second night, the service was very slow despite the bar being empty when I arrived. It took more than 10 minutes for someone to bring me a whisky menu or water. My drink was fine but I was surprised to see on my bill that the up charge to make my choice of whisky into an old fashioned was $4. I don't think the charge wasn't noted anywhere on the menu and seems high compared to what other bars usually charge. However, when I asked about the up charge the staff was helpful and did refund the fee. On top of that, the mandatory 20% gratuity surprised me. The restaurant also seems to keep the gratuity and pay servers on some kind of commission system, which seems unfair to them and deceitful to the customer. read more

The are two vegetarian options not listed on the menu. There are enough sides to make a veggie plate. If you choose that option, askl for half portions because they are shareable size. Try the cheese curds because they are surprisingly different. The bread is good. Try it without the butter first. If you want to try the steak before you order your entree, try the steak appetizer. This is a very nice upscale restaurant for Steak and Seafood. It is their second restaurant with the other being located on Union Lake. Great ambiance and the waiters do a fantastic job and they don't rush your meal. You can't go wrong with any of the items on their menu. I tried the Alaskan Halibut this round and it was so good! It kind of had a Mediterranean vibe as it was placed on top of a slice of pita and surrounded with what I believe was hummus, black bean hummus and tzatziki sauces. Drink was good, and food was filling, in my opinion a large order of fries, the Prime Rib dip was a little odd to eat, but it was soft. With being cut like a thick steak some of the first and last bites were mostly bread but the middle was filled with with the steak. The Au Jus almost looked gravy like from afar, but was the thin consistency you'd expect from Au Jus and had good flavor that helped soften up the bread. This restaurant is a classic spot, great for celebrating special occasions. I ordered a few appetizers like the Filet Mignon Steak Strips and Spicy Barbecued Prawns, which were delicious. The steak was great but not the best I've ever had. It was perfectly cooked as requested but had a few burnt ends and wasn't the juiciest. But the staff were very friendly and the ambiance is nice with a view. I did order drinks and it took a while for it to come. I've not been back to Daniel's since pre-Covid so expectations are based on going to Daniel's a few years ago. We sat at the bar and had a great bartender and was surprised that the well whiskey was better than I expected. No complaints on the bar service and the drinks were top notch. The appetizers tasted great and came out really fast from the kitchen. I liked all the protein appetizers but seemed shorted on the quantity and they forgot to add our requested anchovy's to the Caesar Salad. There was five pieces of meat on sticks at $5 a piece; ouch. Daniels' is a great place to have a few drinks before going to the Paramount. Definitely, a great place if you're staying in the hotel as doesn't seem to have many alternatives nearby. My daughter and her husband hosted an intimate reception of 15 people in a private room overlooking the restaurant after their wedding ceremony. It was beautiful and the perfect setting for the event. The table was dressed beautifully and we were allowed to bring in floral centerpieces, candles, and lanterns to decorate. They even provided small lighted tea lights when the ones the kids ordered didn't come with batteries. Extremely accommodating, attentive, and kind. It felt as if they were part of the family, helping to make sure everything was perfect. I will never forget, Kramer, the young man assigned to our event. He was incredibly kind, genuine, and made sure that the event was spectacular. He continually went out of his way to check in with me and kept the evening moving. He even helped us get photos snapped by the water, on the deck during "Golden Hour" after I mentioned how important that was to the groom. We snapped some great photos and the kids were so happy. Again, I have to make it clear how integral to the success of the event Kramer was. Kudos and thanks yous a-plenty for this young man! The food and cocktails were spectacular. We started with glasses of champagne as guests arrived, bottles were properly chilled and served to hand out. There were also two cocktail menus posted in cute frames around the room for guests to choose from. Our appetizers were calamari and ahi tuna steaks, both delicious and the perfect start to the evening. We had a choice of three entrees and each of them was phenomenal. Steak, Halibut, Chicken and a Vegan Pasta/Veggie Option, all enjoyed by the guests. The clam chowder starter was one of the best I've ever tasted. Guests had a choice of Ceasar Salad of Chowder and both were good. The Butter Cake was incredible. The outer crust was baked just right and had the perfect amount of "crunch" with the center being gooey and warm. I cannot say enough about how delicious everything was and the beautiful presentation of each dish. We were all dressed in our best but there were guests dressed down and comfortable seated below in the restaurant and patio so come as you will. Do not be intimidated by the elegance of the venue or of the menu. It is one of the most beautiful dining experiences I've ever had and I eat out a lot, throughout the country. I came here yesterday as a treat to myself for my 25th birthday! Not only was a greeted by such a sweet hostess, they also gave me great advice about solo traveling. Then my waitress Shavonne was just an ABSOLUTE gem, not only did they have AMAZING glasses they also wrote me a list of a few spots on the city that they enjoyed, for me to go and celebrate. To write this review is very concerning. Having been on-site for four days attending a conference I could not wait to experience a great steak, salad and vegetables. The food was great but what is very disturbing is that I kindly asked a young lady to provide me a small amount of pink Himalayan salt or something equivalent as my cardiologist recommends this for hydration. The young lady was very kind and went back to the kitchen where I happened to be sitting next to where the chef yelled at her and told her to get the manager. Problem one. Problem two, a large man who stated he was the manager came over abruptly sweating and said "you want a salt service"? I said no, I just want a pinch of Himalayan or other sea salt to put in my water. He responds "kosher salt is just fine for you" and leaves. Ahhh so if I could, I would give 3.5 stars instead of 3. Our experience was overall a decent one but it just didn't entirely wow me. I'll start by saying the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The drinks were tasty - but I ordered a 2nd one that didn't come out until the very end of dinner after we already boxed up everything. My issue is with the $80 filet mignon I ordered; it just wasn't super special to be honest. My husband and I treat ourselves every year on our wedding anniversary. We typically dine at Ruth's Chris but wanted to try something different this year. It's not like the steak tasted horrible but it was just mediocre (same goes for the potatoes it came with). What a festive, wonderful Christmas Eve we had at Daniel's Broiler downtown Seattle!!! Everything just over top delish. Including the best service from Mike, our server and Maitre D Kevin. Not only was our experience top notch,, the ambience just beautifully decorated. The customer service that we experienced, I have not witnessed in a long time.. Believe me I know, as I am a retired 33 yr Flight Attendant. Mike, made sure there was not one thing served without a smile and graciousness perfection. We were a little worried about our Christmas Eve not in a home, but not now. We will definitely be back for another fabulous evening with impeccable service and the best steak in town. The server was clearly very overwhelmed with the number of people, he couldn't handle more than one request at a time when ordering. IE: if I wanted a drink with my dinner I needed to wait until he wrote down my entire order to then order a drink. The poor service really impacted the entire evening, it was like our server needed to be guided on how to do his job.
