Came here on a Sunday and it's such a great addition to South Tampa! The empanadas are a must, crispy, flavorful, and clearly made fresh, and the ChiTown Clucker sandwich was super juicy and flavorful. We also met the owners, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely worth a visit! What I ordered: - Buffalo Chicken Empanada - Italian Beef Empanada - The Chitown Clucker

The best empanadas you'll ever have! Comes out piping hot & doesn't crackle into a million pieces like the other places so you know it's super fresh here and they make them to order only. The empanada was not greasy at all but not super flaky it stayed intact after each bite. It was piping hot so I let it cool down a bit before eating it. The empanada that I ordered came with the sauce that almost tasted like Cane's sauce but had a bit more of a bold spice flavor. It was fantastic. I was greeted by the manager Nelson when I was in line. The screen monitor with their food menu item kept on switching to different food items too quickly while I was reading it and the manager handed me a laminated menu to read off of that instead. Wow... no place has ever been that friendly & caring in service! The food prices are very decently priced for a cafe. It's very clean & the dining area looked very cozy. The staff here really makes you feel at home here... wow, super incredible ambience just makes you want to come back here & spend all your money here trying everything lol... SPECTACULAR menu so much variety I really need to try everything on the menu it all sounds so so good! The hibiscus lemonade is an absolute must... it was very refreshing felt like being at the spa with every sip.

Great Service & Super Welcome from this newbie Eleven80 Cafe. Empanadas to die for especially the guava and goat cheese. This is one of a kind being goat cheese instead of cream cheese. It is sweet so you choose to add more guava or not, but it's perfect just the way it is. I also ordered an Italian beef empanada, and a passion fruit lemonade. Next time I want to try the iced horchata and the jibarito hash. I'd love to see a guava latte and a jibarito sandwich(tostones as the bread w/ steak as the filling) as a special or on the menu in the future. Cute cafe w/ inside tables and nice decor and tasty Latin fusion bites will satisfy your hunger! Check Them Out for breakfast & lunch!

Solid breakfast right as I landed in Tampa!! Service was extremely friendly as the owner greeted me right away as they opened, started a good conversation with me & recommended various items on the menu! Ambiance was friendly, clean, and inviting!! Definitely eat here again when I land in Tampa!

So I got a flyer for a free empanada. I'll let you be the judge if that makes this a biased review. First, what a cute little restaurant. It's in a small strip mall... Right off a busy highway. If you blink, you'll miss it. I missed it for over a month as I drive this route almost every day. Glad I got the flyer to introduce me to this little spot. Cute spot with an inner dining room and even an outside patio. Second, Gabriel (the front of house man... And I suspect manager/owner) was awesome. Super enthusiastic and polite. I heard him asking just about everybody in the restaurant how their visit and food was going. That's positive restaurant management that I don't see very often. Third (and finally), the food. Well, they only serve breakfast and lunch. You can get lunch during breakfast... You can get breakfast during lunch. But, no dinner. They have several things on the menu including eggs, waffles, and of course empanadas. I cashed in my ticket for a free empanada. I chose the Ropa Vieja version. I also got a Café con Leche. I got the coffee in hand first... Let me tell you... I think this is the best Café con Leche I've ever had. Gabriel asked me if I would like it "sweet or not sweet"... Obviously, I chose sweet. Perfect sweetness. Then came the empanada. It was delicious. The Ropa Vieja was perfectly seasoned and a perfect consistency being tender, not mushy. No complaints. Food and drink gets an A+. But, I do have one comment and/or criticism. I'm not an expert on empanada pricing... But, my Roba Vieja empanada was $6.50. As for a complete lunch and not a snack... You need at least two to fill you up. The empanada is well stuffed... But it's still a small empanada. So $13 for two empanadas tips the scale at being just a little bit pricey. So, I'll let you be the final judge... Nice location, great food, excellent coffee... however, not a "cheap eats" spot.

WONDERFUL from start to finish! We came in on Sunday morning and dove deep into Eleven80's offerings. I sent my husband to order (and he was hungry) so we ended up with a great sampling of what this amazing place has to offer. +empanadas ordered: Bacon, egg, cheese Buffalo Chicken Ropa Vieja +Omelette with bacon, tomato, cheese & side of plantains +pan Sabao French toast +Jibarito Hash +The Chitown Clucker +iced horchata latte +iced cafe con leche latte There wasn't anything we didn't love! Seriously. 5 out of 5, 100 %, A PLUS! The food was flavorful, fresh, made &'served with a lot of love. Service was wonderful, owners on site and gave a lot of care to guests, chef came out from the back to ask about our satisfaction. Eleven80 just opened 3 weeks ago & I can only hope that this establishment sticks around and becomes a staple in the Tampa community. We will be back!

First of all, I got an invite from Nelson to come check out the restaurant. The transformation of the restaurant is wonderful. The warm colors and the music is inviting. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade....yum. Then, I ordered the Roja Vieja empanada, it was piping hot and very good with the chipotle mayo. Also, I got The Pops sandwich which was steak, onions and an egg omelette on Cuban bread. It's a big sandwich and very tasty. I have to mention Gabriel and Mike are awesome staff. I met Nelson briefly, very nice too. Go check it out in South Tampa.

I was invited to try out this new cafe, but since none of the food was vegan, I opted for a oat milk cafe con leche and it's so good! It's also so quiet and cute inside. Actually I'm noticing there's no music playing at all, and to me, theres something really refreshing and calming about that. This is a really good spot for getting remote work done. There's a large table and high too table at the front which has outlet access too so I'm really happy I tried this place out. Thank you Gabriel who took care of me!

This restaurant has such nice decor and plenty of seating. The staff has an amazing energy and their service was great. The food was also unbelievable. I only tried the empanadas and coffees, but I'll definitely be back to explore the menu.

This cafe has the friendliest owner who greets each customer with a smile! They are open for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week. They have tables and chairs inside but also seem to have lots of take away customers. Ordered the vegetarian sandwich with eggs, cheese, black beans, Avocado and plantains on Cuban bread. It was huge! Also the goat cheese and guava empanadas. Both were delish!

I was invited by Nelson a couple of weeks ago as he had seen other Yelps I had done and wanted me to yelp his new business Eleven 80 Cafe. I came in greeted by one of the workers who was extremely nice, he said Nelson would be there soon, meanwhile I ordered breakfast for my husband and I.. As I was waiting for breakfast I took my pictures of the outside and inside of the cafe and included pic of Nelson and his one staff member I first saw. The ambiance as you can see from my pics is very nice and inviting. The food was excellent, I had a scrambled egg, chorizo and feta cheese empanada which they had a great dipping sauce for. Very delicious. My husband had scrambled eggs ham and hash browns, he also shared my plantains which came with my order. Everything was very good including my iced coffee. We got to meet and talk to Nelson who is very very nice and thanked me for coming and talked with us for a while. All the staff he has there is very friendly, this is a wonderful place in S Dale Mabry, Tampa. If I'm ever there again I would go to this place for a very delicious breakfast and good people!

I told my friends that this is a top 3 tampa food spot I've been to. I checked out Eleven80 today as I've been seeing a lot of their menu items online - especially the empanadas. I don't think I could have had a better experience. The chipotle mayo with the chicken empanada & the cucumber salsa with the chorizo empanada ... chefs freakin kiss. Im a sauce girl and chipotle mayo is my favorite condiment of all time - can confidently say this is the best I've ever had. The jibarito hash was my fav of the day. I don't think that dish could be made better. The meat resembles taylor ham/pork roll for my northeast/jersey people (but somehow may be even better??). I dipped the plantains in the chipotle mayo as well - pro tip, although I must say it doesn't need a sauce at all and stands alone perfectly. I don't even drink coffee but the cafe con leche was BOMB. I finished the whole thing - first coffee I've ever finished in my 26 years the hibiscus lemonade too WOW. SO resfreshing. The island fries r the perfect sweet treat - not too heavy after a meal and they stay together so well. If you work from home, definitely work from here, grab a drink, grab an empanada, chat with the employees, the vibe is undefeated. They also have a back patio with some outdoor seating which I will most definitely be taking advantage of. The staff is goated as well - I see this spot becoming a staple in our community very quickly.

    The Pops (steak sandwich)

We drove from Orlando to try Eleven80 Cafe on Dale Mabry Hwy, and it was absolutely worth the trip. The menu is a really interesting mix of classic breakfast and lunch with Latin flavors and a few Chicago influences. I'm originally from Chicago, so it was cool to see a couple things on the menu that felt like a nod to home. I ordered The Pops steak sandwich with onions, cheese, and a folded egg, and it was excellent. After living in Orlando for years, I honestly haven't found a steak sandwich that reminds me of the ones back in Chicago, but this one came really close. The bread was fresh, the steak had great flavor, and everything was put together really well. Since we made the drive, we also tried the Jibarito Hash. I only had a small portion because I was already full from the sandwich, but it was incredible. I'll definitely be coming back just to order a full plate of that. One thing I really appreciated is that they cook with beef tallow instead of seed oils, which you almost never see at restaurants anymore. You can tell they care about the quality of their ingredients. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and the owners even came over to talk with us and ask what brought us in. That kind of hospitality makes the place feel welcoming right away. If you're looking for a local, family-run spot in Tampa with great food and thoughtful ingredients, I'd definitely recommend Eleven80 Cafe. We'll definitely be back.

The carrots weren't exactly crunchy, but they weren't exactly cooked tender. They were definitely a weird texture. The (large) pearl onions were OK, but I would've preferred actual pearl onions rather than these that were kind of like the size of a shallot. The best thing on the plate was the potato and of course, not enough of it. I am diabetic so I did not try the whiskey cake. I'm sure it would have been delicious.

I ended up giving 4 stars because a few details missed the mark. The air-fried fries were soggy and had an unusual flavor -- with air frying, food usually needs to be tossed periodically to cook evenly. The refresher was decent and tasted healthy, though it leaned a bit too citrus-bitter for my preference. The burger itself was very good, but I noticed a small hair on top (visible if you zoom in on the photo). I also saw some kitchen staff without beard nets, so that may have been the cause. Furthermore, I had requested the sauce on the side, but the bun and lettuce arrived heavily saturated. To their credit, the staff replaced the bun and lettuce right away, which I appreciated. Overall, while there were some positives, the experience was a bit disappointing.

My husband and I visited true Food Kitchen to try their Valentine's Day set menu…read more We were also there during happy hour. The service was so bad. It took so long to get our drinks. We only ordered beer and wine so it should have been simple. The red wine on happy hour is awful!! The food on the special Valentine's Day tasting menu was decent but they messed up our order then simply removed from the exact same plate the meat that we did not want leaving small pieces of the meat and sauce on the salad. We love the location as it's convenient to our house, but the food has been miss more times than hit at this place.

Overall, I enjoyed the experience, but I wish I liked the food more…read more We came on a Saturday morning for brunch. I was really worried about parking because I remembered what it was like with that early on, but it seems like their parking has expanded. I think it's because it's now right next to a fitness studio that together they realize they needed a lot more parking, so there is quite a bit of parking in the parking lot behind it. That being said the restaurant wasn't that crowded so I don't know what it's like when both the restaurant and the fitness studio is crowded, but for a Saturday brunch, we had no issues finding a parking spot. We primarily came because the kids wanted to try the arcade. We got super lucky that the kids went into the arcade before a birthday party started. Once the birthday party started, they put out a sign that said there was a private event so it was completely closed to the public. That would've been such a disappointment so if you are really looking forward to the arcade like my kids are, I think it's worth a call ahead of time to make sure there is no private event that has booked that space. Overall, I wish I like the food better. The pretzel board was delicious and definitely a highlight. I got a mint tea that was absolutely amazing. At first. I felt like it was a little too sweet, but I really warmed up to it. Next time I should ask though for the sweetener on the side for me to control the sweetness level. I got the steak hash, and I wasn't a big fan. The steak was slightly over salted, although it was cooked perfectly. The potato hash was huge chunks of potatoes, so I just felt like it was a major potato overload. Overall, for the price of the dish, I thought it would be much better. I think fewer potatoes would have made it better, because the meat if it wasn't over salted would have been quite good. I got my eggs sunny side up and they were cooked perfectly. I really appreciate their kids menu, it has pictures of all the food so the kids were able to look at the pictures to choose. They both wanted their own pizza, one with fries, the other with fruit. The fries were delicious my son love them, the fruit was also good. They both only ate one slice of their pizza so we definitely could've gotten them one pizza to share. I got them both gummy bear lemonade, and it was actually quite sour to my surprise. We asked to switch out one lemonade for a Coke when my older son wouldn't drink it. I was surprised that we ended up being charged for both the Coke and the gummy bear lemonade when he didn't drink it. However, overall, our service was fantastic so I'm not going to let that small thing dampen my review of the service. My husband got the Caesar wrap, he really enjoyed it. He got truffle fries, which ended up being a good call because my older son ate all the fries. My husband got a margarita and really liked it. Overall, I think they do drinks well here. We sat outside and it was gorgeous. It's fully covered. We didn't feel that hot and they do have TV so you can watch sports. I do love the decor of this place overall. This isn't a place that we are running to come back to you, but I do believe we will be back in the future.
