Honest, helpful, good humans. My car (actually it was a car I was borrowing from my parents) died on the freeway last week. I had it towed to Elite Auto, which I picked because of the stellar Yelp reviews. Michael stopped what he was doing and took over my case, and after 30 minutes, he gave me the bad news: my transmission was toast. Sonny made some phone calls and got me quotes on a used transmission from 3-4 different junk yards, and gave me several quotes on rebuilding the transmission as well. They laid out all the options, but I didn't want to spend over $1000 on a truck that KBB'd for less than $3500. He let me leave the truck there in his parking lot while I came up with a game plan. No charge. My parents, who own the truck, wanted their mechanic to take a peek at it, and Sonny & Michael obliged. They went out of their way, really. We ultimately offered the car to Michael, and he agreed to buy it, only to have my parents renege at the last minute. Sonny and Michael were unshakably cool through the whole process. And they didn't charge me a cent, which was unbelievable, not even for parking the truck there for 3 days straight. You guys are wonderful humans. read more

I have a mistrust for mechanics given past experiences, but this father-son duo is honest and thorough. They take time to test drive your car and see what the problem may be, and never add-on unnecessary fix-it issues. I previously went to a mechanic in mountain view to help figure out why my car was making a certain noise. Turned out one of my wheel bearings needed a replacement and would cost anywhere from $700-1000. I came home and called elite auto who listened to what I needed to have done and gave me a quote that was a bit lower than the previous mechanic. I decided to take my car in. First, mike and I test drove the car to ensure that the issue was what we had thought, and it was. I decided to go with them, since they were upfront and honest and gave me a clear price estimate of what the job would cost. They finished the job fast, were friendly and honest. I had problems with my car battery: the terminals were heavily corroded and they were chipped in half. I was advised to replace the clips. Sonny was helpful and went out of his way to advice me on the purchase of my tail lights from a separate supplier when the one that he usually uses quoted a rather high price. He later installed it for me promptly and charged me half the price of what he had initially quoted, as he said that the installation was easier than what he had earlier thought. Just took my car here for the first time yesterday and I was SO impressed! I arrived around 11am and asked for an oil change, the owner and his son were both working on cars but were able to take me right then. I was literally in and out in less than 30 minutes! That in itself was enough to keep me coming back. They also had informed me of a leak but were honest and up front about the options I had instead of trying to convince me that it was a $1,000 repair I needed done now. We came back for a proper diagnostics which he did for free and gave us tipps on how to navigate the issue. When we had a more serious problem with the transmission we came in again. I don't know nearly enough about cars to assess the quality of their work, but they've made my car spin like a top. Sonny took the time to explain everything in plain English and Michael showed evidence of the work they did. They also took pains to respect my student budget and not do expensive labor without my consent. This place is WONDERFUL. While most repair shops just want to get money out of you, Sonny and his dad Micheal are truly honest and want to fix your car at the best price they can give you. Not only are they honest about not charging for services that did not fix the problem, but they will work with you to find the best prices on parts you are looking for. I recently had my 10 year old car towed there from another shop because (unlike the previous shop that was ordering parts from the dealership for 600% markup) they were willing to work with me to make the car run and not put thousands of dollars into a 10 year old car. They will do exactly what you ask and be extremely honest and fair about pricing. I will be taking my car only to Elite in the future. Very happy with service - time, cost and quality

I just noticed this new garage that replace the old one at this location. So I went in asked some mechanical questions and found the mechanic Micheal very knowledgeable, friendly and extreamly helpful even when I asked how I could do some repair myself. So my car failed it smog test and I showed the test to him and he gave me several options, I agreed on one and he fixed in very quickly and at a very reasonable price. And the car passed to the point that the tester at another location remarked how well tuned my car was. His son was very helpful and even drove me to and from work during my repair. A day later I had a rattle which was probably unrelated I brought it in and they offered to fix it for free. Customer service just as it should be . I would highly recommend this place. read more

It took them exactly three seconds to find the nail I had not been able to spot. And it took them another 15 minutes to fix the problem on the spot. Had the best experience here. I went in for an oil change as my oil life was down to 3%. The older man and his son were very informative and friendly, they answered all the questions I had. Now I'm usually skeptical about garages as they can be very pushy and tend to force extra services on you that you don't really need. Not here though! They changed my oil, and put in water. My battery died while I was there (this has been a reoccurring problem), and the older man showed me that my battery was loose! He tightened it up for me and everything worked great and then I was on my way. All of this only cost me $25.95. I was very happy with my experience as I usually dread going to take my car for anything in fear of what the overall cost will be. Also this only took about 30 minutes and there's a Starbucks just across the road. I highly recommend these guys! read more

They provide great service and are direct about how long things will take and what specific service they will be performing. (I appreciate being able to have a straight forward interaction when it comes to work done on my car.) The price is very fair, especially for this area. They also offer promotional incentives to keep customers happy and coming back. I'm unable to comment on more major auto work that they offer.
