Seriously the best photographer in town! I know he is famous for his wedding photos but I never used his skills for my wedding (got married too long ago :) However he does all my photos for my sites lebootcamp, lebodychallenge, for my social media accounts, and for my blog valerieorsoni. He can adapt to a variety of settings, places, and demands. His style is very specific and one thing is sure Aaron can truly beautify anybody! He has a way to make people feel good. When you feel good you look good. Period. He is so good that I usually get amazing photos in less than 1 hour. It used to take me 4 hours with other photographers. So in a nut shell. Ignore the bad reviews (I have no clue where they are coming from being that I have worked with Aaron for over 10 years and I have NEVER EVER been disappointed with his work). Focus on the good reviews. As a client we are RESPONSIBLE for telling a photographer what we want. If we leave it to him to decide maybe his decision might not be what we were expecting. So if you are getting married ask him clearly: I want this or that, I want to shoot from this time to that time, etc.....By establishing your needs clearly and exchanging transparently you are sure to be 120% satisfied. After my wedding photos got destroyed by another photographer I had so much anxiety about having my picture taken but I really wanted to have some with my husband. I found Aaron on instagram and really loved the style of his photos and decided to set up a photo shoot. Aaron suggested Half Moon Bay and the location was absolutely beautiful, he was very professional and friendly. He sent us our pictures just a day later and they were so beautiful and we couldn't be happier. Aaron and his assistant shot our Sept 2016 wedding. We found Aaron on one of the wedding websites that I was using and absolutely loved his work, but we were sorely disappointed. I'll start with the pro's: - He was easy to communicate with, and he worked with our budget - We ended up with some nice photos (nothing spectacular, or that i couldn't have easily had for thousands less) cons: - He showed up late, traffic was bad. I understand that living in the bay area traffic is an issue, but I feel like there should have been an accommodation made in that case. Or he should have been more prepared for traffic traveling from San Jose to Brentwood. - We never got a "sneak peak" and had to wait several weeks for our photos - I don't really understand why it took so long to get the photos since nothing was retouched at that time. - He sent us over 3500 photos to look at. Sounds great, but it was EXTREMELY overwhelming to go through all those photos. - He and his assistant LEFT EARLY (we had a timeline written in a contract) without checking in with me or my husband. This was extremely unprofessional (not to mention INFURIATING) as he and I had specifically discussed the timing of his services. At first he told me that he would rather use the time we had him to come earlier to spend more time prior to the ceremony shooting. We declined that option and SPECIFICALLY told him that it was important to us to have "end of the night" pictures, as the night wound down. Well, he was nowhere to be found about an hour prior to the wedding ending. There were numerous people asking for a photo with us and we had no photographer. - When he did send over the photos he said "sorry if they are grainy, it was dark". WHAT?? My wedding was an evening wedding, but the venue had plenty of lighting. My first thought was "has he never shot an evening wedding before?" Seemed like a cop-out. For someone of his "experience" and what he cost, he should not have had a problem getting decent night-time photos. - It took me so long to sort through the photos, and I was so put out at the point that I never even asked for any to be retouched. I understand that was my choice. - After the event I emailed him asking about him leaving early, and he said that he "had pretty much shot everything, and didn't want to bother us". Seriously unbelievable and so unprofessional. I guess he didn't want his tip, which I'm not complaining about. Not only did he show up 30 minutes late, but then left an hour early and no adjustment in price was made. I wish I would have immediately asked for a partial refund which was completely justified. But I am not that type. I would NOT recommend his services. read more

Feel free to check out his work on our site, www.bvndi.com To keep this short and helpful to readers I will bullet point my comments into PROS/CONS PROS: -Aaron was very friendly Prompt to reply to my texts and calls. -He was accommodating and understanding of our tight schedule. - He made my girlfriend (and model) feel very very comfortable with his relaxed and "real" demeanor. - He directed her very well, to maximize the look we wanted. - Throughout the shoot he continued to ask us if we liked the photos and the shoot. Constantly checking in. So we were on the same page. - He got us all of our shots in 24 hours. .... Wow. CONS: I honestly can't think of any. The experience was seamless, flawless, and affordable. My fiance and I had the true pleasure of having our engagement pictures taken by Aaron, along 17 mile drive in Carmel, CA. We fell in love with his style after reviewing the portfolio's on his website and decided we needed to book him for our upcoming wedding. Aaron was very down to earth, professional and nothing but fun to work with...we felt like rock stars and had so much fun during the shoot. After looking for a photographer for my wedding for a month I found Aaron Blumenshine and I was extremely pleased and hopeful that my pictures would have the same quality and time put into my pictures. It is super important to look over a photographers portfolio- I was quite bored and unimpressed with many of the portfolios I came across. We chose to not have a videographer at our wedding because most of the people we knew who had hired them at their weddings (and they can be expensive)never viewed their video more than a few times. The photographer is were you need to properly budget and not go for cheap because these are moments that will last forever. I first contacted Aaron Via email and he was always prompt to answer my questions which put my mind at ease. We also spoke on the phone so to go over my timeline for the wedding day and to finalize details. My contract was very professional and straightforward so there would be no misunderstandings. I chose to have him leave a little bit before the wedding because I already had all of the key moments captured, and it is often people just drinking or dancing. On my wedding day I was a little stressed but Aaron and his assistant arrived on time and were very calm and easy to work with. When it came to after wedding photography he was very patient while group photos were assembling (we have a big family with many children and babies). We took so many fun photos as bride and groom as well, they didn't feel cheesy or look that way either. After waiting about a month I received the first look of all of the pictures taken.There were almost 2,500, which was great to see because there were many moments captured that were so beautiful and fun. I was able to share the pictures with family and friends so they may order any pictures they may want for themselves as well. I am so happy we chose Aaron as our photographer! Aaron was extremely awesome to work with. He is creative, artistic and fun! He took exceptional photos for our engagement photo session and was flexible in going to all the locations my fiance and I wanted (mustard fields, Wilder Ranch and Capitola). He even hiked over a mile with all his equipment so we could get photos by the bluffs. Aaron is a genuine person and is passionate aboout what he does, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
