We were called to order rather quickly, and I ordered my Scallop sandwich, my wife ordered the fish sandwich based on the employee recommendation, we also ordered onion rings based on his recommendation, and a bowl of clam chowder, just because, well we both really miss the clam chowder from Fish House Vera Cruz (RIP). While waiting for our order, we browsed the large glass case fronts full of freshly caught seafoods, live tanks of lobsters and crabs, and a full selection of in house smoked fish. While there was seating outside, we decided to grab a seat inside, next to a window. The general ambiance of this place is quiet, quick, seafood warehouse, sitting right by the water, it's just an overall beautiful place to eat at. There is no air of elitist here, people are not dressed up with reservations, with fancy waiters and table service, no, this is like a giant workplace cafeteria feeling, just overall a very relaxed atmosphere. We didn't have to wait long for our food, maybe 15 minutes. Let me give you a food-by-food rundown for what we ordered. New England Clam Chowder | 8oz Cup $6.03 -I would pass on this next time, while the texture was great, the taste was disappointing to me, quite fishy tasting. Scallop Sandwich | Lightly Breaded Eastern Dry Pack Scallops, Market Price, I think MP was around $17.99 -Amazing, just as good as the last one, the lightly breaded scallops were melt in your mouth delicious, left me longing for my next venture here. Fish Sandwich | Lightly Breaded Alaskan Cod $14.99 -Great sandwich, flaky, tender, again the breading was on point, zero fishy taste, I will stick with my Scallop sandwich but would not be mad eating another of these! Onion Rings | $6.03 - Ok so go to a seafood place, loaded with all sorts of fresh fish and order onion rings? I cannot be happier for this recommendation by the gentleman/fish monger taking our order, these onion rings are SO good. I would go here for the onion rings alone! *All sandwiches are served on fresh sourdough bread, with Mrs. Kelly's tartar sauce. The bread has such a nice bite to it and accompanies both the scallops and fish so well. Mrs. Kelly's tartar sauce, spread on the bread gave that nice crisp, balance and is the perfect, and only condiment needed. Even though I'm Asian, I'm not one who usually eats the rice. It's usually just a filler for me, & since I don't eat much, I'd rather eat the "other stuff" & usually leave most of the rice. Not here! I almost couldn't get enough of it, lol! So good!! At the end, we needed boxes. We had to ask two different waitresses since the first one we asked never came with them. It's an "order at the register then find a table" type of place, so there wasnt any "service" to speak of. Be prepared to stand in line - this place is popular for a reason! I bought a big slab of bigeye tuna (4lbs), and some smaller (but still large) filets of ono and halibut (maybe 3 lbs each?), and 3 rock crabs (2 female,1 male -- loved that I could choose crab sex). Total cost of the fish was $76, and the crabs were $13. For that amount of fish, I think it's really great. I prepared the tuna as tataki and poke. I checked with the seller than the fish had been frozen on the fishing vessel to kill parasites so it was good to go. INSANELY delicious. If I were hosting a big party, I would absolutely go for a whole fish. The whole halibuts were about 7-14 lbs each (for $13/lb) and the whole tunas were about 20 lbs each (for $3/lb!!!) in Dec 2024.

Why only 3 stars? It's in its growing stages, it's very small and the vendors keep changing on me. The one thing I really expected from a Fisherman's Farmers Market would be lot's of fresh catch to choose from and unfortunately there isn't. There is ONE seafood vendor with a very limited selection. The positive is that they have live lobster for sale and there is a Chef right next to the seafood booth that will cook it up for you for $5. Thus the dinner and great views. Bad news is the Chef comes late and sets up slooooooow, so if you want dinner do not come before 4:30 (it closes at 6:00) so it will be a short visit. I will keep my eye on this market and re review it after it has gone through some growing pains. I really wish they had more vendors especially seafood, with so many fishing vessels that go out of there daily I would think they could get a few more to set up shop.
