    Tri-tip Nachos

First time trying their weekend BBQ. There is a stand set up outside in the parking lot where the food is prepared. Order and pay inside the store at the register, take your receipt with you outside to be prepared. The 2 staff members working the stand were super friendly. We tried the the tri-tip nachos which were amazing! Tri-tip cook was perfect and the portion was huge. Great deal. Looking forward to going back throughout the summer to try other items!

Saddest little sandwich in the whole wide world.

This is the Point Loma Cheese steak Sandwich. $13.99. my poor babe was soooooo disappointed. This is the saddest little sandwich I've ever seen. Won't be doing that again

Ordered a Thanksgiving feast for pickup and my family loved it. I was relieved to not have to cook and honestly I could not have done better than the chefs at Jensens. I was particularly impressed with the a turkey. It was beautiful and seasoned well. Also it was moist and delicious. The portions were generous and I'd say was adequate for 8-10 adults. My mother is already asking if we can order Jensens again for Christmas. I also bought some hydrangeas while there and they lasted for weeks. Never seen hydrangeas last that long. They must have a great supplier.

Excellent weekend brunch really enjoyed it better than you can get at Dennys wish they had discounts for the hot food bar or like a sake day but 8/10

    Poor deli training

This is a high-end market and deli staff needs to be trained on how to slice a cold cut properly. I just wasted $12 on a half pound of prosciutto di parma that is almost completely inedible because of how thick the slices are. Not only that, but the person sliced the very end of the meat so what I got is not even really slices. On top of that, you are absolutely not supposed to pile slices of prosciutto di parma on top of one another, you are supposed to splay them so that they do not stick together. I realize that this is essentially something that no deli in Southern California ever really nails, but for a market of this caliber, you just shouldn't even sell this meat if this is what the customer is going to get. So disappointing. To the store manager - you have an opportunity to really make this a great deli. You could stand out among your competitors by doing something incredibly basic - offering the first slice of the meat cut to the customer so that they can ensure it's to their liking. This is standard customer service on the East Coast and I don't understand why no one does that here.

I can say without a doubt I love having to work on this side of town, because I know without a doubt where I'm getting lunch. The deli is magnificent and I went with a panini this time around. The turkey bacon was a large sandwich, but was just the right size to satiate my appetite. I honestly look forward to the next time I can try something new from the deli.

I love this little store! They have a great selection of everything. Their baked goods and hot food are to die for. The service is always super friendly. I had about 3 people say hi and ask if I needed help during my trip. The elderly man bagging even offered to help me out to my car. It is a bit pricier for certain items, but to me it's totally worth that. I had their thanksgiving meals for Thanksgiving and it was perfect. Their hot food and hot bar always has some great stuff. They even have a fresh orange juice press machine! Why would I go anywhere else?

We were staying in Point Loma and wanted to grab some fruits and a few snacks. This wasn't far from where we were staying and I honestly wish we had one in AZ. The place was clean, employees were super helpful and they had things I feel like the regular grocery store doesn't. It was like a Whole Foods meets AJs meets Trader Joe's lol. I just loved it. The produce was so good and fresh and while prices were a bit higher I felt the quality warranted the price of items!

Our spread from Jensen's that cost around $45! One of the sandwiches was unfortunately inedible due to the meat being too chewy

NOTE: I love Jensen's grocery store, but this review is for the deli in Jensen's. I ordered a hot pastrami sandwich and the meat inside was so chewy that it was inedible. It tasted like beef jerky. Pastrami is supposed to be tender and flavorful and this was the exact opposite. I was very disappointed as it was a pretty expensive sandwich and was already back home by the time that I opened the sandwich and realized that it was inedible. I normally love this grocery store and the deli inside as well, but this experience made me unlikely to come back.

We ordered two plates - Scottish Salmon w/ Chipotle & Grilled Shrimp w/lemon garlic butter. We took our lucky number 48 to one of the outdoor picnic tables and eagerly sat down in anticipation of our food. An hour later... and we're still waiting. We checked with one of the food runners & she said that there were two orders in front of us. Then at 8:30, our food was finally delivered. By this point, we were really hungry and simply ready to go home. We unceremoniously wolfed our food down, and it was not as enjoyable as last time. My shrimp were actually a little undercooked as well, which was not a plus. The jasmine rice & salad were fine. The Scottish Salmon had no chipotle flavor at all, but it was cooked well. I still really like Blue Water, but when they're slammed like they were today, perhaps they should be as little more communicative & let their customers know that there will be rather lengthy wait & then the customers can decide if they're willing to do that. Just taking our orders and $$, and making us wait forever is not super cool. Alternatively, they could have a sign available outside that indicates how long the wait time is to order based on where they are in line & approximately how long it will take to get their food once they've ordered. This would help the kitchen to be more consistent too, because when the chefs & cooks are working on a backlog of orders, they're rushing & the quality & presentation of the food suffers as it did today. Peace.

There's a lot very close by but parking is $8 ($5 if you get validation by making a $10 purchase in one of the shops at Seaport Village). A lot was sold out by the time we got there so I would recommend coming early in the morning. They had fishmongers scaling and cleaning fish off the pier and a wide array of fresh fish by the pound (prices were very affordable). When we were there, there was one "cooked foods" booth with clam chowder, ceviche, fish and chips, uni hand rolls, etc. Prices were fair but the line was long so we opted to skip it. Much of the menu was sold out by that time anyway. Food looked decent based on what I saw others eating. Overall it's worth a stop if you're in the area, want to do some shopping at Seaport Village, can find parking, etc. Otherwise I'm not sure it's worth a trip per se.
