Lastly, child care apparently is only open until 12 and the. Opens again at 4... I'm sure this is written In something I signed but wished it was directly addressed as it's a huge chunk of time to be closed. So I got here at 12:05, and here we are can't work out for 4 hours... living 20 mins from this gym doesn't help.

Shout out to Drew S. also for accommodating my weird schedule availability. I love that this particular location has lockers, which the Sonoma one doesn't have (in Sonoma, I have to lock my purse in the trunk of my car before coming in, to feel safe). The gym is very clean, decent variety of equipment, rates are as reasonable as they can be in this current economy, and it's open 24/7. I also really appreciate the TRX suspension trainer, which I mix in with free weight training, and lots of workout accessories like various bands, weight balls, rollers, etc. They also offer several optional extra services. But if you want just a good place to go in, get your workout in, and leave, this is the place! My only wish is that the "home gym" rates that you sign up for wouldn't change when you use a different AF location for a period of time. The rates are better at Petaluma, but Sonoma is much closer to me. If I use the Sonoma location more often than Petaluma, my rates will automatically increase to theirs. Don't love that.... Otherwise, I'm a happy customer.

But then I had had a baby at 29 years old, so I didn't accept the 6-week challenge. In November 2021 at 32 I decided this was the place for me. Small group classes - cardio and strength. Focus on health and not weight. JOINING THIS GYM WAS THE BEST DECISION I'VE MADE FOR MYSELF. I went from being a kick-boxing, gym rat - thinking I would never not be that. To being someone who wasn't in the gym for six years. I had one meet with Jeff. He let me try it out, and held me accountable. Almost three years later - this is my community. I love Jeff and his family, and the people who work out here. My mindset has changed, and my STRENGTH has changed. I can do things at 35 that I couldn't do at 25-32. Now you have to try and navigate through the regular floor machines which look like PHONE BOOTHS at times. And where did all the elliptical machines and treadmills go? It seems SO crowded now and sometimes there isn't a bike or treadmill available. I really miss the ellipticals with the moving ski handles. It would have been nice if they sold all those machines to hire a plumber. The men's bathroom is horrible! It used to just be bad, but now it's terrible. Almost to the point of a health inspector should come in and evaluate the situation. With all the people going in & out of there they only have one out of three sinks working (is that even legal). There is actual safety tape blocking them off, like a crime scene. The middle sink has been that way for months now. One of the electrical outlets has a busted plate with exposed wires right next to a sink and all of the soap dispensers are either broken or missing! You can see a silhouette of where they used to be. Maybe people broke them off as they weren't always full or in working condition anyway. And the massage chair closest to the doorway still doesn't work that well. At times you sit there and it barely does anything, it almost seems like it stopped working and it's been that way for over a year now. When the leg machines get broken they stay that way for weeks if not months. It now seems like they turned it into a High School Gym.

Out with the old, in with the new…read more What may be the nicest gym in the North Bay reopened today in Downtown Petaluma -- and after a full renovation, it shows. All new high-end equipment, a more intuitive layout, and plenty of space to actually work out. The new machines are a real upgrade, worth mentioning twice. Of course, great equipment only takes you so far. I've been training with Andres for nearly a year, and he's been an exceptional guide -- particularly for strength training and active aging. He's attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely invested in your progress. The facility has several talented trainers on staff, but I couldn't be happier with my experience working with Andres. The management upgrade is equally impressive. The staff is warmer, more professional, and it makes a real difference. If you've had frustrating gym experiences in the past, this feels like a fresh start.

She was better than any cleaning person and the vast majority of employees working at this gym; bar none. The afternoon cleaning lady holds no comparison! That one has little to no personality, always seems kind of bitchy and unfriendly to members, as if she really doesn't want to be there. You can almost tell she is a "whiner" :-l I am SOOO glad I didn't give this place any more than three stars. Exactly as I expected, and have experienced in the past, another FALSE START! I notice already things are getting funky again. Six bags of trash sitting outside most mornings. The area upstairs, where the employee lounge is located, is dirty and needs to be vacuumed. The emergency door upstairs was propped open with a weight this morning. Bathroom and locker room get a grade "C". Male morning employees are milling around in the back room instead of being at the front desk. The equipment is great. I would have preferred a few more sit down bikes and less Stairmasters that don't really fit the space. No sit down ab crunch machine, which I miss. The sit-up machines are made for men, I couldn't even lift the current model, and only two machines???? Nuts. I do love a couple of the machines in the spin room. I'm waiting for the first stint of hot weather. The air conditioner is two fans and its going to roast up there with no window tinting.

In November 2024 I called and asked him to cancel my membership due to health issues. He said that he couldn't help me and kept charging me every month until it's expiration in March 2024. Sadly, he gave me no choice but to ride out the term of the membership even though I was unable to attend the gym! In March 2024 conner told me the membership would expire on its own. I trusted him! Connor did not cancel my membership as he said he would! Instead, the membership went up $50, without my permission or my knowledge! Six months went by when I discovered that he had been charging me without my permission. Even after I told him that I was diagnosed with cancer, he did not care and refused to reimburse any of the money taken out of my account since March 2024!! After being diagnosed with cancer, Connor Waggoner kept charging me. I went to the gym, pleading with him in person. He told me that he would NOT refund any money or even partially reimburse me. He admitted that he remembers the conversation we had last November and remembers me wanting to cancel. Do not join Luma Fitness and beware of the owner Connor Waggoner ! This man is dishonest, greedy and has no problem taking money from a single mom with cancer !
