I don't know how Nikki does it, but she has brought me to a pale blonde, not yellowish, that I was always looking for. Nikki is an expert in fantasy color, but she's exceeded my expectation in my blonde color. I haven't written a review in a while, but I had to write after our appointment last week. Not only did Nikki knock it out of the park once again with the color, but she also cut my hair. She did as I asked and gave me long layers. I just moved back to Everett, MA after being away from the US for 8 years. I stumbled into Top International Hair Salon since it is very close to my house but I knew nothing about this place. To my surprise, I found a familiar face! I was confident Susanna is a capable hairdresser since the place she used to work has very high standards; Susanna was not my hairdresser at the other place. So, I got my hair cut from Susanna and I was more than pleased with the result! My haircut costs $25 but it's $30 for women; they will wash your hair before and after. Well, I used to pay $40 for a haircut in Boston and I am paying less now, traveling less and getting the same quality! Oh, I always bring some photos of mine showing my hair when it was short whenever I go to a new hair salon, and I never had any issues with any new hairdressers. My hair grows really fast and I will be going back to see Susanna every 3 weeks.

My jacket was hung & I was given a tour. The salon is quite lovely. Each time I've been there, the staff has always been friendly, thoughtful, patient, & helpful. They're a real team of skilled pros. After I've spoken w/Kelly or Elizabeth at length, they asked questions & made recommendations based on the shape of my head, texture of my hair, preferences, & other factors. They really took their time working w/me & /(the other clients, I noticed, many of whom I know). Then they brought me back to the soothingly dimly lit shampoo room. They played soft music & explained the products they were using before they began shampooing, thoughtfully checking my comfort level w/the water temp, etc. The bonus is that they give you a Wonderful head & neck massage while they're shampooing & conditioning! Next come the warm towels on the neck--ahhh! How luxurious! They cut & styled my hair, making light conversation w/me and the others in the salon. The stylist explained to me that their notes go directly into the computer, "so we can keep track of what we did step-by-step & the results. Then next time, we can either duplicate that or make adjustments." It's "A Paul Mitchell Focus Salon" & the owner, Catherine is also a National Educator for Paul Mitchell. All the stylists have ongoing education which translates into the latest techniques & styles! I had heard a lot of wonderful things about this salon, and Kiley specifically, so I was SO happy to be able to book an appointment with her. She really listened to me when I described to her what I was looking for in a hair style and we agreed on a layered, angled bob. She did an amazing job. I LOVE it. The salon is beautiful. Kiley gave me a little tour of the place before I sat down to get my cut and I loved the design. It was very warm and comforting to be there. The staff all seem really happy to be working there and working with each other. It really instilled confidence in me as a client knowing that the stylists are happy to be working there. After Christmas I went back for color and again, Kiley did a fantastic job. I was so happy with the results. It was exactly what I wanted. My hair was also washed and dried with a paper towel, which I've never experienced at a salon before. Were you in such a rush to take someone else that you didn't care about the person you were taking care of? Please be more careful with people's hair. They trust you with something very personal. You ruined my hair and honestly ruined my day, my confidence. Such a disappointment.
