Their pricing was comparable to others, but the ability to visit their in-progress projects gave me confidence. I'm very very particular, and while no remodel is perfect, Creative worked to bring my vision to life. My advice: plan everything in detail beforehand--or hire a designer. To save costs, I handled all the design myself while working full-time, which was highly stressful. Having everything mapped out helps avoid delays, last-minute changes, or compromising on your vision. Golan and Jordan were fantastic--Golan handled planning and communication, and Jordan ensured everything stayed on track. They always responded to my texts in a reasonable amount of time. Their tile crew was exceptional (I often bumped into them because they worked long hours and weekends to complete my home and were really nice and respectful people), and they tiled nearly my entire house beautifully (we're talking 2000 sq ft of flooring, 3 bathrooms, and a fireplace). I appreciated that Creative didn't nickel and dime me for small changes, and when a gas leak was discovered (due to careless cabinetry work), they fixed it--and more (we found more leaks during the repairs)--without extra charges. Despite delays beyond their control, they completed the full renovation in about six months--from pulling permits to final inspection. Major work included a new kitchen, three bathrooms, tile flooring throughout, interior paint, a new electrical panel, and whole-house LED recessed lighting. Even after the job was done, they returned to fix small issues without hesitation. That kind of follow-up is rare in a world full of disappearing contractors. I would recommend Creative for any remodeling project, big or small.

The project ran about six months. The short version: we'd hire them again. The longer version: Jacob, the design lead, is the reason we went with them. He has a genuine passion for old buildings and pushed to preserve original details that another contractor would have torn out without a second thought. That instinct matters when you're working on something irreplaceable. Ken managed the project more quietly but kept things moving. And when issues came up after the job was done -- after the final check had been cashed -- Jacob, Ken, and the owner Sage came back and made it right. That's not nothing. That's actually rare. Were there setbacks? Yes. If you've hired contractors in LA, especially on older properties, you know what you're signing up for. New Dawn isn't immune to that reality. They're not the cheapest option and not the most expensive either. But they're the kind of crew that stands behind their work, and in this city, that's worth writing a review about.

From the moment I first sat down with Eyal Weizman of MDRN Construction, I knew he would be my…read morechosen contractor for my kitchen remodel. We seemed to speak the same aesthetic language and he quickly and enthusiastically whipped up a rendering of what my kitchen might look like. He was also very sensitive to and willing to do great work within my budgetary constraints. I immediately knew I would be in good hands. My kitchen remodel was for a very narrow space that had had a double electric oven and a big fancy gas range. The old cabinets, which were solid wood, had likely been there since the house was built in the 50s. An unfortunate water leak did major damage to the wood floor and seeped into the 2 layers of asbestos-laden linoleum underneath. Due to the need for asbestos remediation as required by my insurance (and the law), I was literally forced to see my entire kitchen torn out to the studs -- cabinets, appliances, floors and all. Enter MDRN Construction - after unsatisfactory experiences with the contractors my insurance had set me up with, I finally realized I must choose my own. In short, MDRN came in on-time and on-budget. Any out-of-line costs beyond the original estimate were due to major upgrades or amenities that I asked for on my own, with absolutely no arm-twisting from the contractor or his crew. For example, we were needing to upgrade the electrical in order to accommodate new all-electric and induction appliances, as well as replace the floor complete with framing and subflooring. I therefore also opted for raising the floor in the (sunken) kitchen annex to have it all be on the same level and to move the new commodious refrigerator in there. This upgrade also involved raising the exit door to the side yard and creating new concrete steps to the outside. Even with this extra work, MDRN still came in on time, though at the outer rather than the inner range of their estimated time frame (three months instead of two). I also have nothing but high marks to give the various crews that did the work, from demolition to electrical to cabinetry, to plumbing, dry wall construction, painting, and tile flooring. Everyone that came to my house, as Eyal promised, was a pleasure to be around and highly professional -- efficient and meticulous. The Ukrainian-born cabinet installation crew (in-house to MDRN), especially, were master carpenters and the finished product with solid wood exteriors is a showpiece. And absolutely everyone graciously pitched in when something extra was required, like hoisting my giant new refrigerator through the only possible square opening in the kitchen wall when the delivery guys couldn't possibly handle it themselves. Eyal came by frequently to check whether everything was going smoothly and what was still needed. And the most consistent presence was his assistant construction manager, Bardia, for whom no task or issue was too large or too small. He handled everything in a timely manner with ease and aplomb. If you're looking for excellent work, excellent client relations, honesty and efficiency, and a great aesthetic partner to work with, then MDRN is a terrific choice. The only advice I would give anyone who plans to live in their home while any pretty major construction is going on, is to stay on top of the daily dust-prevention and cleanup. As great as the workmen are, this is not always their topmost priority. The photos are of the "to the studs" space in the transition phase and my wonderful new kitchen.

Eyal spent time with us designing the project, sent us what we needed to choose from and showed us some really great tile and hardware options. All of the workers who came by were extremely nice and respectful and worked very hard to deliver our bathroom. With only a few minor hiccups which are totally expected on a remodel such as this one, we are super happy with the result and look forward to working on the next one with MDRN!

We also fully renovated a mid-century ranch duplex and are currently converting its garage into another ADU. Gary's extremely easy to work with, communicative, reliable, and cares about the quality of his work. He'll give you his professional opinion when needed, but he listens to what you want and never tries to push his preferences over yours. His subs are solid, his pricing is reasonable, and he's always been accommodating when little extras come up outside the original scope. After five projects together, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Finding a contractor you trust and actually enjoy working with isn't easy, and that's why I keep hiring him.

He is a competent professional and trusted contractor with a solid team of subcontractors who have been doing this work for decades. With this renovation, we brought our 1912 Craftsman bungalow down to the studs. This was a full-gut renovation that involved replacing all mechanicals, drywall, new bathrooms, new kitchen and doing a primary bath addition. With Gary's construction expertise, we were able to restore the home while maintaining its original charm and bring our design to life. Some of Gary's many contributions included framing a new tray/drop ceiling, installing custom window and door casings to match the originals. He also rebuilt the front porch railings and reinforced the porch ceiling so it would accommodate a porch swing. He built our backyard studio shed in just a couple days and it's adorable. While nearly everything is new, you can't tell. And that is a compliment to the quality of craftsmanship. Gary doesn't cut corners and it shows. It is very important that you trust your contractor and that they have integrity and do what they say they are going to do. Experience is also very important. Gary has all of this. We will definitely be calling Gary for the next house we buy. We can't recommend him enough.

Two wouldn't take the job because it was too small. Franklin came by and gave me the best price. After the initial deposit, his crew came by about a week later and finished the job in one day. I think they did a pretty good job replicating what had existed before, although the work seemed a little sloppy. I saw a few gaps in the framing, but they were able to seal it up with bondo. Also on one of the posts there was a large crack in the wood, but that was sealed as well. For the price, I think this was a pretty good value. Would definitely recommend for smaller jobs like mine.

Roberts Residence Paint Job 5693 Mistridge Drive, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 February 2022 We are the owners of a 2,400 (approx..) home in RPV, CA, built in1967 (55 years ago). The house was last painted in 2013 (almost 9 years ago) and has experienced wide climate changes over these years. We live near the coast, and historically it can be damp/cool and foggy in the winter/spring, then very sunny/warm and windy in the summer/fall. So, the house is showing its age and some structural components are wearing out as the house has endured through these shifting conditions. Thus, repainting is needed about every 8-10 years to address such conditions. So, it is time to repaint the home. We selected Elite Home Remodeling, 303 North Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank, CA as our prime contractor for several home repair projects, including the re-paint. The prime contractor selected Sebastian Painting, Irvine, CA, owned/managed by Sebastian Rivera as the paint sub-contractor. Sebastian and his paint crew completed the paint job exceptionally well. There was a good bit of prep required, starting with a power-wash of the entire surface, removal of mold in certain areas, followed by filling of stucco and wood cracks, and sanding of repaired surfaces. Then the crew applied a high-quality prime coat all over, followed by two coats of Cool Life Heat Reflective Technology paint, to both the stucco surface and the wood trim surfaces (distinct colors for each). The result for us is a beautiful, weather-tight, climate-protected, color-coordinated painted structure. We are extremely pleased and highly satisfied with the paint job and extend our highest compliments to Sebastian Rivera for producing these impressive results for us. We highly recommend Sebastian Painting, Inc. to other customers. An added note about Sebastian Rivera, the individual, and emerging painter-contractor. We found Sebastian to be very honest, responsible, personable, dependable, smart, approachable, cooperative, all notable and desirable traits customers expect of the contractors performing work for them. After a few bad experiences with various home improvement contractors I stumbled upon Elite Home Remodeling. At first I was skeptical because we had a big project. A home remodel which included redoing two baths one a master, the kitchen and butlers pantry as well as updating the lights to LED (except for one Chandelier my wife just had to have). Our pipes and wiring all needed updating plus I wanted to add CAT6A data cable and gig ethernet ports to support a smart house and higher speed internet. We also wanted some exterior landscaping and a new stamped concrete carport. I was surprised that they not only arrived on time throughout the project but were clean, courteous and professional. Eli and Aidan, at first seemed no more impressive than a little bird turned out to be a package of dynamite when it came to keeping the project on schedule and under budget. My wife appreiciated this immensely because the house was not forever in a state of "Dust & Debris". The chaos of construction was kept to a minimum and the crews were all neat and tidy. If anything was left Aiden was on top of it like you wouldn't believe. They also handled my better, albeit indecisive, half very well; my wife only made up her mind quickly once and that was when I popped the question. `Explaining the impact of change orders and patiently assisting with our home modernization and esthetic refresh! From Architect to Engineering to City Planning and even the Inspections were efficient and painless with no surprises along the way. First it was Elite home remodeling,and now they are Elite Home Developement??? Horrible company,horrible people.They are liars!!! Don't trust them!!! Unfortunately I was duped,and ripped off for $27000. Their sales person, named Illi sold solar panels on us for a very high price!!! I didn't know about solars at that time,and I got fooled! Before I was so excited about putting solar on my roof,but after installation I found out that they put this system on my old roof,and didn't caution me about my roof condition,and plus they put equipment in the wrong spot! Then they remove and damaged my roof and put system again,at this time they damaged another side of my roof! They did not let me know that I need to upgrade my main electrical panel and shoved the new wires to my old electric panel,took out my breaker and after that they apply for permits!!! The certified home inspector was horrified after he saw how they vandalized my roof!!!! I can not include all the details here,but after all that nightmare they put lien on my property,even though I have been paying my loan on time for the past few months!!!!!This kind of company should be stopped from abusing other customers! And now I have to go through this ridiculous situation where I have to hire attorney to fight off the lien!!! And pay attention to the reviews...They mostly either 5 stars or 1 star!!! I am writing this review to warn everyone else,because honestly I wish I read about this company before I ever open my door to this thieves!!! In the last couple years are summer electric bills have gone from $300 to $600 with this time of use thing SCE has switched us to not to mention three kids, Video games, Tv's, Tablets and running the AC all day, well Im sure many of you can relate. Then the hubby decided to add an electric vehicle. We have been so apprehensive especially because of all the different calls we receive. We saw a couple houses at first, in our area get solar then it seemed like the domino affect so i stopped and talked to a couple of my neighbors. They seemed very happy with their install company Elite Home Remodeling. I contacted them they came out and met with me and my husband. Im not gonna lie we worried really about the cost we live pay check to pay check most of the time but we were shocked to really see that the payment was less then what we were paying. Anyways we are at the end of our project and it was really great. They showed up early worked on it most of the day and by sundown we had a solar system.. We had a full kitchen renovation that included removing a wall and installing a header, adding an island, new cabinets, lighting, countertops, fixtures, backsplash, installing appliances, and changing floors and baseboards throughout the great room. The project took almost two months. At times progress seemed slow but the over result we are very pleased with. Jim and Nic did a great job with all the work. They cleaned up each day and were very accommodating to help keep our house as functional as possible during the renovation. They also were responsive to questions and concerns along the way. We also love the design that Amber came up with for the kitchen. We wanted to open up a wall so the kitchen connected with the great room. Other contractors gave us expensive quotes that only involved making a window in the wall. Amber was able to design a plan that allowed us to completely remove the wall and install a large island. This gave us a very practical open design and the island added a ton of useful storage and space. They were also very straightforward about pricing the entire time. If we ever move and need another kitchen renovation we know where to go! read more

I had some water damage around the front windows of our office in LA. elite contacted us via a cold call, and we had them out to give us an estimate. adrian came to give the estimate. They were friendly and professional. During their inspection, they noticed damage due to termites. elite is certified to do termite treatment, and they advised us to have the treatment. They also recommended that we have rain gutters installed, as not having them likely contributed to the damage we experienced. I really appreciated that they did not pressure us to have any additional work done. In the end, after discussing the quote, we agreed to proceed. The work crew came the very next day. alfredo was the foreman, and he was professional, and kept us informed of how the job was going. adrian told us the job would take about three days to complete, and the crew delivered as promised. Sebastian keeps calling my grandmother everyday with threatening messages like if u don't take the review down then fine then I'm not sending someone to do this that and the third. He said I never worked with BLACK PEOPLE like you. SUPER RACIST company charges 3 times what the job requires Joe All of a sudden doesn't work for the company anymore Sebastian just randomly text my mom and wouldn't give her his name at first I had to Google it. Keeps asking about taking the review down before the work In the previous review has been corrected. I'm still not taking the review down! 1 week later we called Edison to see if they connected the Wi-Fi with the panels. First they sent some random white guy here with civilian clothes on no vest no card from the company he works for, to be notified that the solar panels are registered to our address it's saying the panels belong to someone with a Pasadena residence. I was skeptical of remodeling our kitchen because you hear so many horror stories about contractors taking too long, charging more than they say, flaking out, etc. My husband and I were in disbelief at how OPPOSITE Elite Home Remodeling is from that. Elite Home Remodeling is exceptional. I don't think I have ever encountered a better company.... and I have very high standards! All the staff keeps their word, totally professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, but they are 2 great guys who are fun to hang out with! They make you feel like you are their only client. Elite Home Remodeling really does care about you as a person and they take a great deal of pride in providing the best service and best quality work. Also, the designer they had design our new kitchen was incredible. The layout of our finished kitchen is gorgeous. Last winter we start having some licking from the roof. First we had a roofing company over to our house, doing some damage control and correction on the roof. I received an one year warranty, less than 8 months ago I was having a smiler issues like the beginning and to be honest even worse eventually. I called the same company again, and they run away from the responsibility. I've been trying to contact some other companies, and eventually I've reached Elite Home Remodeling. First they sent over to my house a really nice representative to inspect the roof, second I received a report about the roof correct situation that was similar to the issues the other roffman mentioned before. The price was reasonable and I was quit amazed by how professional they were handled the project. It's been not more than 4 days including preparation, permit and city inspection. We had a great experience working with Ellie. I really appreciate him being super detail oriented and helpful during our project. The initial project was just a bathroom remodeling, but it turned into a pretty much whole house renovation with layout changes. With a good number of quotes we received on our remodeling project, Elite home remodeling were definitely not on the cheap end but also definitely not the ones that want to cut corners and make easy money. We went to visit a couple of their projects and were really impressive by the level of attention they put in their work. We were able to work out a budget and keep the cost to a reasonable range. We bought a new house and decided to gut the entire thing. We found unity construction on yelp, and after having a few companies give us quotes, we decided to try out these guys. I AM SO GLAD THAT WE DID. I can only say GREAT things about Mauricio and Bar. They were there, involved, and supervising every step of the entire remodel. We work a lot and couldn't be there all the time, but they were both so easy to communicate with on the phone and by text. They were always there to listen to our concerns and addressed us right away. They also gave us great advice on the placement of things, and even fixed some stuff without us asking. i hired eli's services for few projects in my house in long beach CA. they price was make sense and fair, i got 5 estimates, elite i was in the middle but they i was more impressed from the high customer service. first we did our drive way. it took them not more then 3 days to get done! the crew works very clean and organized. they show up every morning just at time. the project was managed properly, a REP form the company show up on daily basis to supervise the project. a few month later they did our roof and windows, this project took about a week, they also took care of all the city paperwork which was really helpful. the c communication whit the staff (project manager, sales rap, supervisor and secretary) was very good either and by that i will definitely recommend you guys to hire there services. read more

We recently had our bathroom remodel and it looks beautiful. SEBASTIAN did an excellent job and helped with getting the final touches done. There were definitely some major hiccups when it came to management in the office, so I would definitely suggest getting everything in writing, even if it's a small change in detail after starting the project. Don't take their verbal word for granted and get something in writing even if it's just a text message. Then you won't have the problems I did when it came down to the verbal agreements that were made. I gave this company five stars because of SEBASTIAN'S help and because the look of the bathroom is as close to the design that I wanted. read more

When we had issues with some of the work done, Gabriel was right on it to make sure it was taken care of immediately. This type of attention is not always given with other people we've dealt with before. Gabe takes pride in his company to do an excellent job for his clients. For example, our HoA was particularly troublesome at points in this process, but Vlad and Guy handled the situation with such care and, again I cannot emphasize this enough, transparency. Something that was invaluable to us and saved us incredible headache. Our project involved a complete remodel of the living room and kitchen areas of our house. The scope involved removing two walls and reinforcing the posts/beams/footings to open up the living room to the kitchen/dining areas, doubling the size of the kitchen, creating new skylights over the kitchen, infilling existing unused windows and sliding glass door wall, leveling the subfloor and providing new hardwood floors throughout, providing assistance/coordination for custom cabinet and countertop installation, relocating mechanical vents and ducts, relocating and adding plumbing lines for new appliance/fixture locations, installation of new electrical (power, switches, cleaning up old out of compliance wiring), and helping us install LED light fixtures throughout (including under-cabinet and under-shelf lights). They even helped us temporarily move appliances to different locations, worked with us to make sure small details and installation were done correctly and cleanly to our liking, fixed and improved uncovered areas that had sub-standard construction (house was built in the 1960s), and took great care in leveling the sub-floor with a concrete float to make sure that the new hardwood floors were sturdy and secure. Their team of contractors also did a great job of cleaning up the areas each day, since we were still living at the lower part of the house. We are very happy with the outcome of our remodel, and would highly recommend Guy and So Cal Kitchen & Bath for anyone's home renovation and remodel projects!
