He does an amazing job, he is easy to talk to (he definitely keeps it real with you haha), and he never hurts me! I would recommend going during the less busy times if you can for less of a wait. I've come here many times and there a a few great employees. The owner had done my nails the past two times I have come here and I have not been happy with the result. I get the basic acrylic nails with regular polish on top. The owner never paints my whole nail and their is always a gap on the sides. I purchased a full spa day gift certificate for $285 for Christmas from Elite Retreat Spa in Downtown Kennesaw. You have 6 months to redeem and it's supposed to include lunch and hair/massage,mani/pedi. The plan was I would purchase one for my mother-in-law as well so my wife and her would go together on Mother's Day. Well, 2020 hit and the world shut down for a global pandemic. I called multiple times over a few of months to see what options were available and would get an answering machine that said it was full. At first, I didn't think it was that unusual to not hear anything from this type of business but every other business we interact with was able to freeze memberships, had wonderful and courteous customer service despite unprecedented times. Around October, I called again. To my surprise, someone answered and then quickly informed me that they were shut down for a few months and that they would not be honoring my gift certificate because 6 months had passed. When I requested a manager, they stated they would honor the mani/pedi part of the gift certificate for only 30 more days but would not honor the full spa day I had already paid for. I explained that the gift certificate was for my wife, not transferable, and that she was suffering from Covid pneumonia. It was not safe for her or any of their clients or staff for her to render those services. That week she ended up in the hospital for 10 days due to lack of oxygen from the lung damage. This recovery was not easy and weakened her lungs, heart and immune system. She was also still testing positive for Covid and in and out of doctor's offices/hospitals. The Monday after thanksgiving I called back and asked if, since she was still so sick, we could gift the certificate to someone else. The manager said she was shocked that I even called back because she had already extended it 30 days and she then stopped returning all calls/text messages. My family and I discussed if we should let this go and just suck this up to us helping a small business during a pandemic but a business with no compassion, understanding or regard for safety is NOT THE BUSINESS WE WANT TO SUPPORT. TERRIBLE customer service and quite frankly humanity. Do not patron this business. read more

Johnna (sp?) the receptionist is the rudest person I gave had the opportunity to run into in a very long time. She should be ensuring customers are treated well and assisted efficiently instead she appears to have her own system in determing "who is next." Went in with my daughter for mother/daughter pedicures (my daughter was in town for her one visit/year). She sat me and NEVER sat my daughter. We ended up leaving frustrated and mad and no one seemed to care. The technicians knew what was going on and no one wanted to do the right thing. Have been going there for 4 years. The interior is beautiful, however they move you through like cattle. Also if you make an appointment they might give it away or they will not be ready for you when you arrive...this is annoying. And when you try to book an appointment to sit next to your friend or with your group that you make your appointment with they don't care they separate you!!! It's especially annoying when you walk in there are tons of people on their phones that work there and they are not servicing customers. Also very few of the technicians can do your nails without cutting you with the file. The last annoying thing is you have to remember to bring cash for the tip! I am very picky with my nails, so much so if I don't have a great experience at one salon, I won't give them another chance and move on to the next. That being said, Elite Nail Salon is my nail salon in the area. Its nestled in between an AT&T and a Pet Store. Every time I go I am greeted with a warm welcome. The technicians really love getting to know their clients. Pedicure: If you'd like one of these they'll tell you to go pick from their myriad of OPI colors on the wall. The pedicure chairs are, as of March, brand-new with a massage chair and a light-up pedicure bath bowl, which is obviously just for aesthetics but its a nice chair. They'll hand you a regular menu with prices and another handout with their newest spa pedicure scents for the season, which is a refreshing change and says a lot about the traffic of the salon. You can get away with just a $15.00 pedicure, and the spa pedicures range from 30-45. The pedicure will be relaxing regardless of the amount of money you spend on it. A beverage is also complimentary. Gel/UV Nails: Gel nails are a must for me and the technicians at Elite do them well. I can't even count how many colors they have available and they'll do anything from a french tip to a full color coverage. These can be pricey- in the 35-45 dollar range- but I've never once been injured in the removal/application and once they are finished, they look so shiny and new for weeks. Elite really does stand up to its name. Its a great salon and the people who run it are so nice. I'm all smiles when I get back into my car after a trip there. read more

We had went to this salon one day to get her nails done, and the service received was just awful. One of us got her hands cut twice, and one of the times she bled. The tools were not sanitized, and they were used on the person that was bleeding. on top of that, the nail tech didn't even have any gloves on, and tried to tend to the blood without gloves. Gross. I've come to place since 2012. The staff has gone from very helpful to completely rude. Today, I asked the person doing my pedicure to paint a flower on my big toe. After telling me to find someone else because they don't do designs and my reply of "I've come for 6 years. I've had this before." He decided to ask the other people working here. The next person said no as well. The owner seemed to be upset at their reply but not sure since they were speaking a different language. I have never been turned down for a design here. Especially a basic flower. Their pedicure can easily cost $50 which is pricey for a place that does even give you the design you ask for. Well this saddens me beyond belief to say this, but I will no longer be coming to this nail salon. I've been going there every month for almost a year now. I never let anyone else touch my feet and I don't mess with them either and I now have a terrible infection in my big toe, that I am going to see a doctor about later today. I noticed it was a little yellow last month when they took my old polish off, but the guy never said anything and kept going on with my pedicure. I thought well okay maybe the light was off a little and I'm being paranoid. So a few days after this pedicure my toe started to hurt quite a lot and my nail became raised. I have been going to Elite Nails for several years for mani/pedis and they are the best, hands down! Better than any intown spa I have ever been to. Their pedicures last a minimum of 45 minutes and include all of the exfoliating, callous treatments, etc... that other nail shops try to charge extra for. They offer several pedicures on their service menu, but they usually have seasonal specials as well. The pedicures last at least 45 minutes and you'll leave with soft, supple, beautiful feet and toes. What a treat for your feet! I also use Elite for solar nails, and they are very meticulous about application and fills. read more

After moving so far away from our previous nail salon, we have been on an adventure to find one that we would enjoy. We stumbled on this location after going to the pat store. That first trip was ok, went in and asked for SNS. Finished up and left satisfied. Returned with a friend for pedicures two days later. The techs were friendly and we were asked what we wanted. I asked for the Classic Pedicure and my friend asked for the Milk and Honey Pedicure. In my head as I sat and watched her get extra treatment, I made a mental note to do the same treatment on my next return in 2 weeks. Little did i know that my friend would treat me, so she paid and I left each tech a $10.00 tip. When we got in the car and down the road she asked me if I had changed my mind during the pedicure session. I said, no.. why do you ask. She stated that we were charged $70, $35 for each pedicure. My pedicure should have been $23.00. I immediately called the shop and spoke to a gentleman who placed me on several holds. After some time the tech that did my pedicure came to the phone to tell me that he gave me the same pedicure that he gave my friend. I can tell you that not only did I NOT get the same pedicure, but when i got home to shower and rubbed across my feet.. they weren't don't to my satisfaction. I have replayed this session in my head and while he may have gone across my foot a couple of times, they weren't taken care of. I am completely dissatisfied and disappointed and I believed we had found a new home. Beware of this place and watch your bill. I did not get a refund, and I will have to find someone to do my pedicure this week! This trip was a waste of money. This is the only nail place I will ever go to for the rest of my life!! I can be pretty picky at times but I can honestly say that I've never left this place without being 100% satisfied. Their salon could definitely fit in in somewhere like Buckhead. It is very upscale. The staff is professional, yet super friendly and HILARIOUS! You don't just sit and stare at the wall like you do at other salons. They offer you a beverage and they sit and talk and joke with you the whole time. Before you know it everyone in the salon is talking to each other. I went in with my friends to get their nails done. Terrible customer service!! My friend wanted long nails and the owner didn't give her the long nails asking her "why so long"? She was going to pay for long nails I don't understand what the issue was. My other friend asked for a simple french nail design and the guy doing her nails did such a horrible job she wanted to cry. So we asked him to fix the nails because the shape was lumpy and the design looked terrible. He proceeded to laugh at her and said he didn't see what was wrong. She asked if he could just give her a simple nail color instead since her nails looked terrible. He made it seem like it was the hardest task he had to do all day even though he barely tried the first time. His poor customer service really upset my friend and I told her we should just leave. That's when another lady butted in and said we were wasting his time. We weren't wasting his time he wasted ours if he couldn't do the design he should've said so. I understand that in some situations the customer is not always right but when a customer is upset over such poorly done nails the least you can do is not yell at them. The older lady was jerking my feet and hands, unfriendly, used old polish that streaked, got mad when I told her I wanted square nails instead of round(she would have known had she asked). I got the classic pedicure. It was fast. And It's exactly what's expected. The thing that bothers me is they won't allow tips with a card. You have to give cash only. It's frustrating because not everyone carries cash. So I have to go out and get cash and return with a tip. I can see what other reviewers mean by saying they aren't very nice.
