Sokne is absolutely fantastic! She's so talented. She took so much time on my nails and my 14yr old daughter's nails. We are currently in town for the weekend & this was the second nail salon we stopped at. The first one turned us away because we didn't have an appointment so we found the next closest. I'm sooo glad we did, the service was amazing. The place wasn't crowded. The employees talked to us & treated us like human beings & after I was finished and waiting on my friend they let me relax in the massage chair & watch tv while I waited. I went in and asked for an arm wax. They definitely do NOT do them but lied and said they did. They also charged $40. I've has it done for much less in 10-20 mins. They took an hour and my arms are all red and blustery. They eventually used 3 people because they had no idea what they were doing. They did it haphazardly so then there were patches undone everywhere which led to going over parts again. They did get the wax off with oil after and fixed some small parts with a tweezer. But it took about an hour. read more

My experience was very pleasant! I was offered a beverage and almost every nail tech said hello and asked how I was doing, even if they didn't actually do anything for me! I decided to try this spot out after a coworker showed me her nails, and after having a terribly overpriced and disappointing mani/pedi at city nails. This was the polar opposite experience. The nail tech was efficient and gave me a wonderful gel dip manicure in about an hour and a half (first half hour was just soaking my previous mani in acetone trying to get it off). I found this place a little difficult to find but it was very busy. I wasn't impressed with the wiping of the pedicure bowls which is why I am only giving four stars. I ike to see the sani bowl liners in the pedicure bowls. I noticed they only wiped the bowls out between clients. My pedicure is one of the best I ever had and looks great. It had been over a week and it still looks like the day I walked out. I wasn't as happy with the manicure but still a good manicure. I would return and give them another try. read more

I WAS a loyal customer to this nail salon for 2 years. Every three weeks, pink and whites with "Eric" and pedicures every 2 to 3 months. Not to mention my daughter when she was home from college and the countless referrals I have given. Let's just say, I LOVED this place. Today I showed up for my "scheduled" appointment at 9am. Eric greets me by saying "did you call yesterday". I said no, I scheduled with you on Monday when I was here with my daughter. He said no you didn't and implied I was lying. Why would I lie? He never apologized. He said, well I have another appointment at 9 o'clock, you'll have to come back later! No I won't, in fact, I will never come back. There are too many places willing to take care of me and my family to be treated like that. I would never expect preferential treatment, a simple I'm sorry would have fixed everything. This salon was taken over by new owners January 1, 2012. The quality of the services have gone down and I am concerned how skilled they are in certain procedures. I continued going to this salon one month after the ownership change and was getting Gel Nail Fills from the new OWNER, but they changed the drill they use and the procedure was now uncomfortable.The last service I had done, also by the OWNER, was an eyebrow wax. The wax was too hot and not only did the OWNER burn my eyelids and between my brows, but she dripped the hot wax down the side of my face! There were even two spots on my cheeks, where she dripped the wax. I was very red when I left the shop and my eyelids were stinging. Within a couple of hours, my eyes swelled up and small blisters began to form, where the hot wax had been applied. It took about a week for my eyes to heal...but not until the skin peeled off. Thank goodness there are no lasting scars. I went back to the OWNER the day after the procedure and she did not even offer me my money back. Needless to say, after being a patron of this salon for six years, I will never go back...and I will never have anyone do an eyebrow wax on me again! read more

I am new to the Asheville area, and I am looking for my "go-to" place for a mani/pedi. Paul did an awesome job! My big toenails sometimes feel ingrown, and he made them feel good! He has great attention to detail, and the massage was wonderful, too. I also had a leg/calf wax (done by a woman), which was super-thorough. My only 2 suggestions: It would be nice if they offered the plastic liners for the pedicure bowls. And, to make the waxing area a little more comfortable. read more

They do not know what they are doing. They talked me into an organic powder dipped manicure. I came out looking deformed. They kept blaming me saying my nails were too short. ?? They charged me $85 and told me to come back tomorrow and they would remove it for free. I went to a different salon and had them remove it. Last time I'll ever give this business my money. After waiting 45 minutes, the guy rushed through my gel manicure to help someone else. I'm not one to complain but this was the worst manicure I've ever had and seen. I told him my concerns and he proceeded to "fix" it by filing down his horrendous work. After I told him I didn't want him to fix it because I didn't have time, he rudely waved his arms and told me I didn't have to pay as he walked away. The manager was also sitting right there ignoring the commotion and didn't have the courtesy to engage in the situation. I still ended up paying some portion. Worst service I've ever received. This was, by far, the worst shellac manicure I have ever received. The lady rushed through and was very rough. She was so hurried that my nails look as if they were painted by a child. I complained about how they looked and her response was, "look good." The man in the salon was quite rude as well. Every time I would try and ask a question, he would yell, "pick color! Pick color!" First I'm going to state that I am very appalled. I have been growing my left thumb nail out for 10 months and the tiny Vietnamese woman doing my nails simply asked me if I wanted it I cut I responded with no its my favorite nail. She filed my nail all the way down to my skin and it is in a complete 60 degree angle. My "trophy wife" pink polish is only layered twice and is still see through to my nail. It took 30 minutes to get these manicures and when asked to be gentle due to nerve damage in my partners thumb he didn't acknowledge it and continued to pain her and be fiercely rude. The two workers used knowing a langue we didn't just to discriminate us right in front of us. My thumb nail no longer taps on my phone screen while texting, not to mention the over price of $28. Also my partner having to leave without the lotion massage and not even getting a dollar discount. I will never attend this disgustingly rude, and untalented "salon". I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW I CAN GET MY 28$ AND MOST IMPORTANTLY MY LEFT THUMB NAIL BACK. read more
