In town for a confrence, this place had lots of 4 and 5 star reviews... so here we go..... They were willing to take me right away without an appointment. My first impression was...this place is kinda messy. Chipped paint, dusty counter, debris on floors. I was almost afraid to put my feet in the tub but they did scrub it out really well so I felt pretty comfortable with that. They do seen to clean each foot tub well. They also wear gloves. It is a bit warm in here. Pretty good pedicure. Love the hot towel. He did a good scrubbing. My feet definitely feel good and waaaaay softer! He really made sure he got all those summer sandal rough spots lol. The manicure was good as well . Great vibe massage and all dead skin removed. Thank you for the service. I will say however, this place does need a good deep cleaning. read more

This is my grandma's favorite nail salon. She took me here for the first time and the service was great! Note, you most likely will need to make an appointment as they are often booked. They did a great job on my nails, gave a great nail trim and foot massage. My grandma has some issues with her toenails and they were very considerate and accomplished. I do not recommend this business. Yesterday my grown daughter and I stopped by to see if we could do an impromptu manicure together for Mother's Day. She had driven up from Charlotte as a surprise so we did not have an appointment. But thought it was worth a try. However, when we walked in together and asked if they had availability who I guess was in charge said rudely no. Normally they would have suggested another time. She did not. She just looked at us and said "we are booked all weekend" closed the appointment book and walked away. Mind you there were only four people in the salon, all finishing their service. Clearly we were not "their type" of customer. We ended up just going to a coffee shop. It was still a great day, but no thanks to these folks who are apparently looking for a different type of client. Normally I tip 25%+ on nail service. But thanks to these folks I will be certain to tip much more at my next service elsewhere. Some place that I am welcome. read more

I have never been to a better nails salon EVER!!!!! I can't even believe it. To start out with , the staff are sooo friendly and love to have conversation unlike many other nail places i have been to. They are very considerate of what you want and they don't make you feel bad if you want something else!! normally i pay around $20 to go get my eyebrows done at Benefit, so when i came in here i was nervous about getting them done at a nail salon! They were ONLY $10 AND THEY LOOK AMAZING! I saw that their Acrylic full sets were only $26, and i normally pay around 40-50 at my normal salon and so i had to try them out and THEY ARE GORGEOUS!!! Our pedicures were done too quickly and too harshly. No base coat was used. One foot massage was performed in two minutes, if that. Lastly, my toe has been tender for over a week due to the technician trying to remove a piece of skin, by pulling it with his tool. read more

Quite possibly the worst gel manicure I've ever had. Polish around my cuticles and fingers. I'm in a panic to have it redone before my niece's wedding. Pedicure was fine but it must have been there first time he's done this. Even the nail filing was uneven and I asked several times to have him correct it. read more

I got a pedicure and my Mom got a gel manicure. My pedicure was executed excellently, with attention to detail. It took longer than your average 30 minute pedicure but this was a bonus. The skill behind the massage was great, as he knew certain pressure points and didn't just aimlessly massage my legs and feet. My Moms gel manicure looked exquisite as well. Sometimes it is hard to give her a manicure because she has deep ridges in her nails. Both the man and lady manicurists (and owners) were very fluent in English, engaging, and helpful. Stopped in while traveling through Black Mountain (as I often do). The salon looked brand new and clean, and luckily they were able to fit me in for a mani/pedi. Ben was the technician, and he did an excellent job - great attention to detail and very polite. He even pulled out the chair for me - maybe because I am old school, I appreciate that gentility! When I first arrived I thought it looked clean and the environment was nice. When I went to pick out the nail polish I realized the selection looked very old and the colors were limited. It cost $1 more to get the polish on the top shelf that looked fresher and claimed to last longer. As I was getting my pedicure the man started saying "Boring, boring, boring, boring" and then went on to have a conversation with the girl next to him in a language I do not understand. It was very uncomfortable. The only English was."so boring, boring, boring day, boring, boring" and then when he talked to her she seemed like she didn't want to engage in what he was saying. I can only assume it had something to do with me or why would it be in another language in that manner? He only used a small set off cutters and no clippers at all. He cut downwards often and this ended up with my nail breaking at an angle the same day, which has never happened before right after a pedicure, ever. All in all I will never go back and I will redirect people elsewhere. It's sad, because I was hoping for a good place that I felt comfortable, that did a good job, to go to once a month that is nearby. read more
