I needed my garage door spring adjusted so I could put my new opener on. I called on Wednesday got a Saturday appointment I wanted. Day of the appointment I tweaked my back. The owner called to let me know he would be 10 minutes late and I was thrilled to get honest update. He was able to install my opener, adjust the spring, and lube the rails. He even offered to take the old opener to the dump for me. Refreshing to find honest workmanship in 2021. I would give Dennis 6 STARS. read more

Garage Door opener was replaced because ours was old and needed to get a new one with the power shutoffs and the fact that you don't remember half the time when the garage door is closed or not when you leave. Having the wifi as well as the backup battery, not to mention that it is much quieter, had improved our life tremendously. Dennis came and let us know that he was running behind ahead of time. Nevertheless, he came and put a door in and was very professional in the whole time he was doing his job. He did a great job and my garage door is quieter, I can turn it on and off with my phone and if there are more power outages, we can open it using the backup battery. This review is a bit overdue as my service experience was early 2018. Our house is not new and we have been running into HWES (home warranty evasion syndrome) with respect to our old garage doors. Based on several reviews we hired Dennis at Elite Overhead Garage Door to rectify a blown spring on one of the two doors. Dennis came exactly at the time promised, obviously knew what he was doing, and rewound cables, torqued springs, and adjusted whatever was needed in about 20 minutes. Then, with no request, he started fooling with the other door as he saw a few things that concerned him. Done and done in less that a half hour. Six months later both doors are performing better than ever. Very professional, fair price, and great service. We have his sticker next to the garage door buttons so we know who to call for service and for help and installation when we finally bite the bullet and upgrade the units. read more

I have never written an update on a post so I'm REALLY hoping this doesn't erase my original review... Dennis and his son came out to our house today to fix a roller that had come off the track. It took only a few minutes to fix but they stayed just to give everything a once over and tighten a few things and adjust some other things. This is just how they do business. They could have fixed our roller and left. Instead, they went above and beyond to make sure our garage door is in the best shape it can be (it's an old door and you can be sure that when we do replace it, it will be Elite Overhead who does the job. Garage spring broke and I went to Osh and bought one hoping to do it myself- fail. I called Elite and Dennis' wife Christina answered. She was very understanding and friendly and fit us in to Dennis' busy day. She called an hour ahead to let us know when he'd be there and he called before he was about to head out. Dennis show up when he said he would and had it done in a half hour. Charged a reasonable price and didn't try to upsell us. The owner Dennis Casey did an outstanding job. As I was looking to upgrade my residential garage door opener to a "commercial" grade. Dennis wanted to see the existing system before making a suggestion/bid. Even though I had sent him photos he drove 45 minutes from his business to do just that to Lake Berryessa Highlands area. Sometimes it is difficult to get a repair person to come out once but he did it twice for "1" job. I couldn't have been more pleased with the product and installation. We managed to break (or realized we had broken) our garage door AFTER 10pm and happened to see Dennis' sticker as we stood there and scratched our heads about how we were going to get the cars out of the garage in the morning for work! I was getting ready to call-in when we saw that his sticker said 24-Hour service. We got in touch with Dennis' wife who let us know that he could be here soon. Dennis showed up and went straight to the garage and went to work with purpose, he replaced both springs in under 30 minutes and it's 11:30pm now and he's been gone for long enough for me to write this review. Dennis at Elite Overhead Door is a truly great guy. Had fixed three separate issues over a ten year span of owning our home. Bought our home brand new in 2006 and of course the quality of products they build track homes with is awful. Fortunately for me, a guy i work with grew up with Dennis and turned me into his service. He's repaired a broken drive gear, cheap and flimsy side rail and just today a broken spring. Always very reasonable and always gets me scheduled as soon as possible. It's nice to read the glowing reviews. I'm just trying to figure out why he doesn't return calls to schedule work. I met with him when I first purchased house he gave us a verbal amount. We told him it would be awhile. I called his office spoke with his wife. She told me he would call the following week to set something up. 2 weeks went by I called again left message. To this day I haven't heard from him or his wife. My thoughts are - have the decency to call and say we're too busy or we just don't want the work. It's unfortunate that now my friends and family know that he's the guy who flaked! read more

Even with the spotty phone service during the fires, I was able to connect with Dennis mid afternoon and he was at my house within a few hours to reconnect the cables and lubricate the tracks of my garage door which was completely stuck half-way open. Hours stated 8-5 today. Called and woman answered...didn't announce her name or company. After asking her if this was garage door repair company she replied with a yes and then awkward silence. All along her tone seemed irritated and bothered that I would be calling for repair services today. She even asked in an annoyed tone "and you need services today". Duh??? My garage isn't opening! If you don't want to work today...change your business hours. Website said they provide service throughout bay area and once I told her my location she said oh...we don't go there. Mind you I'm less than 10 miles away from there location. Hmmmm? Hope your experience is better than mine and she even goes as far as booking an appointment. On a Sunday evening, of course, my door came off it's hinges and could not be closed, period. Found Elite by searching yelp. The wife answered and asked if I would mind if they finished dinner and would be right over. Yikes, how nice! Dennis, the owner/operator, showed up and got the door working and the price was minimal. The door was original and showing signs of age. We discussed it for a while and I decided to replace the entire system. Dennis gave me a quote on the spot and showed me different styles. He came out exactly at the agreed time (by himself) and removed the old system and installed the new. Quality of work is excellent and cleaned up very nicely. I've used this guy twice now in Benicia. The first time I figured it might be a fluke, but the second time around confirmed that this guy is GREAT!. Very reasonably priced, knowledgeable, timely, and professional. What's not to like! And I guess I am not the only one who has figured out the best of the best. When I called him, he was on his way to an appointment in San Francisco (Nob Hill). I am pretty fussy when it comes to getting any kind of service. I have high expectations, and usually know a little bit about what they are doing... so am not easily fooled. After the earthquake I had a problem with my garage door and I called Dennis out of the phone book. He came over that same day and fixed the problem at a reasonable cost. When a similar problem occurred Dennis came over quickly and found another problem which he fixed for free.
