I go here only for Lily. She's honestly the best hair stylist I've ever had and I recommend her to all my friends and family. It's one thing to be most affordable (which she is) but she's also extremely knowledgeable and honest on what will look good on me and what won't (sometimes she'll tell me to go with the cheaper option because it's less maintenance on my part). I live in San Francisco now but I still go all the way to Santa Teresa for her to do my hair because she'll do it at least $200 cheaper than my neighborhood stylist in SF does!

I have been here twice, first time to get my haircut and now to get highlights and a haircut. Lily was very attentive and receptive to what I wanted. She did not shorten the length of my hair which has always been an issue for me when I go for a haircut. I did not want to bleach my hair so she guided me in choosing the right color for my hair that can be achieved without it. The price is very reasonable too. Overall a very satisfying experience.

Lili has been my hairstylist for 3 years and counting! I love getting my hair highlighted,toned, cut, and style every few months. She is top-notch, but doesn't charge an arm and a leg like the newbies. You won't regret going to her bc she has amazing workmanship. The vibe of the store is very bright and clean (they just upgraded the place), it's welcoming and if you're lucky you can walk-in and get your hair service same day if it's not too busy. I'm so glad I found Lily! The salon itself is clean and comfortable and all the ladies working there are welcoming and friendly. I went to Lily for all over highlights and it was such an easy and wonderful experience! I felt confident that Lily knew what she was doing and immediately at ease knowing that I was in good hands. She's also reasonably priced! Besides being experienced at hair, Lily is very warm and personable. Although it was my first time seeing her, she made me feel like we've known each other for years! I tried many hair salons, I like some but they're very expensive esp for hair color. But thank you to Lily who did my hair color with reasonable price . She will tell you what is good for you. Hair color , haircut and gives you something to use for touch up and not going back to spend more money. I finally found Elite salon with Lily to do my hair. I highly recommend Lily . read more

Drive all the way from Los Angeles to get a haircut. Lily was my stylist and she did a great job. She is also very smart as we spoke about stocks and options and she gave me a hot tip so I can make a boatload of $$. Can't wait to drive back here for another haircut in a month and get another hot stock tip. read more

Lily is the best, I met her 7 years ago on Sacramento and now that She is here in San Jose. I still come to do my hair with her. She keeps my hair healthy and does the best highlights and colors. I don't mind driving all the way from Sacramento to San Jose because it is worth it. I absolutely love the results everytime. She is friendly and helpful and does the best work. read more

I have been going to Kim for several years now and she has always done an awesome job with my hair cuts and highlights! It is very easy to schedule an appointment with her and even though she is quite busy, you never feel rushed or neglected. I would highly recommend Kim. In fact, my Mom was going to her hairdresser in San Francisco for 20+ years since she is very, very picky and will not just have anyone style her hair. Did I mention my Mom is turning 80 and very set in her ways? I took my Mom to see Kim and she will now only have Kim cut and style her hair. Even though my Mom and I share the same hair stylist our hairstyles are very different. Pricing is very reasonable and her location is very convenient with ample parking. read more

First of all, I found this beauty salon trough a groupon that was never used, since Lily said she was experiencing some problems with Groupon. She asked to cancelled it and paid her directly. First Red Flag. I should have just left, but I stayed and that was my mistake. I sense from the beginning she wants me not to use Groupon in the first place. I have noticed this kind of behavior with merchants who use Groupon for advertisement purpose only and being hesitant to accept groupon. I ended up paying for a haircut and full highlights that did not turn not even close the way I wanted them. See attached picture and judge yourself, do you call those full highlights? Also the toner she applied had a very strong chemical smells. I am not sure what brand she uses, but I have been applied toner in the past and never smelled such a strong unpleasant odor. I called her back a week later and she gave me an appointment to fix the highlights on 2/13/21 at 10:00 am. She never showed up. When I called her she made up some kind of excuses. She said to come back at 12:30 pm, I waited near by because I did not want to waste more time going back home. After two hours she called me again just to said she was not able to make it to the appointment at 12:30 pm. So unprofessional and no respect for a person's time. This was the worst experience I ever had and for obvious reasons I will not be coming back here again. read more

Kim is fantastic i asked for an a-line bob and she delivered!! I am very shookt on how it turned out. I felt really gorgeous for some reason..will come back to kim as my hairstylist. Warning. There is prostitution going on at this site in the "massage" room with Tiffany. I pulled something in my back and I was looking for a spot to relieve the pain. I went in and met Tiffany, but there was little pretense of a therapeutic treatment. She started teasing me and asked for money to continue. She promised to remove her clothes. I got up and left in shock. How can the owner not be aware of this? read more

I'll keep it short and simple. The only reason I'm not giving this place a 1 star is because Kim (the owner) accepted me in 12 mins before closing time and the place looks super clean and didn't smell like beef blocorri and hairspray. He also offered the option of me not having too pay if I was not happy with my haircut and admitting she messed up and apologized. She said she would make it up next time (not sure there will be a nExt time to be quite honest) but it takes a real man (or woman) to admit their bad especially nowadays. This is the first time In my life I am actually able to say that I got two different haircut styles at once. Looking on the bright side , it my hair will grow back and meanwhile I'll have to just wear a hat. Only thing that could have been worse would have been a reverse Mohawk. Oh well. Sh*t happens! *shrugs* read more

I came here after reading the other yelp reviews and got a haircut from Kim Nguyen. My usual cut is to trim the top and shave the sides, and I loved the way it looked after Kim cut my hair. It was easy to communicate with her what I wanted and she made sure I got it. The place looks really nice and there is ample parking. Definitely worth visiting for a haircut. read more

Let me tell you all about my experience with Kim the owner of Elite Hair Designs. I really wanted to get my hair done last min and when I called she accepted me very last min. I have 3 kids with me mind you. Lol 2 are my friend's kids and my son. I go in and I see the salon closed. Kim opened the salon for me just for me a first time client! I said "Wow!" Kim walks up and sets up quickly and efficiently. Not only that she is having a conversation making the kids feel comfortable. While she is doing my hair I see her making sure I have a great experience by being personable. Not only that my hair was damaged and I was worried how my hair would turn out. I came across Elite hair salon on yelp and I must say some of the reviews had me sold. So I called and made an appointment for my daughter to get a hair cut. Kim which is the owner was the only person working. She was the one that cut my daughter's hair. For a 15 min rushed hair cut I would say it was decent. However I felt she could of took more time for $45 dollar haircut on a 10 year old. Definitely wouldn't return again. read more

Parking is fine with three spots in front of the business and more areas to park on the sides. It did not seem like a busy area and parking does not seem to be an issue here. Amanda asked me if there were any areas she should focus on and also let me know I could let her know if I needed her to adjust the pressure. I've been getting massages in the San Jose area for years and Amanda is the first masseuse to ever ask me those questions. They also did a layer of heated towels between the sheet and the blanket that was magical and again, not something we've had done in other massage locations. The room was calming with low, warm lighting while we undressed. It was mostly shut off during our massage. The music was also playing low. Very easy to let yourself relax here. The lobby and overall space is well curated. The lobby has a coffee and tea bar that also has water post massage. 100/10 be sure to call and make an appt for you're girl!Can't wait to be back!

I contacted the spa multiple times--by phone, email, text, and by sending photos of the damage--but received no meaningful response or follow‑up. Despite my repeated attempts, I was never contacted by the owner. Additionally, the business has changed its name three times since my visits in 2025, which I found concerning. I am still paying for unused facial services but no longer feel comfortable returning. We tend to tip ~20% after each service (occasionally higher when we get our favorite massage therapists) We went last night and the lady with the Zelle name "Li Zhao" was quite rude. Instead of asking if we want to tip, she asked if I had Zelle. I knew what she meant and said yes. I did a rough math estimate for 20% for both therapists and sent the money. She asked if it was supposed to split for two therapists. I said yes she then said something to her coworkers and acted like it was not enough until a coworker said something back. She then turned around looking upset but still said thank you. We left confused and felt like she was judging us for tipping 20%? In my opinion, tipping should always be OPTIONAL but I will always tip for services knowing it is optional. Also here's the math: the total was $254 and I tipped $50 which is ~20%. I did the math in my head so I knew I maybe short with some change. When I do the calculation on a calculator it should've been $50.80. I was short $0.80 but I didn't think that much would be bothersome??? Giving 4/5 for all the good experiences. However for the lady, 1/5 for greed.

They provided ice with a towel + iced water with lemon to prevent us from overheating. The whole hour of massaging and sauna went by so quickly! After the sessions were done, we were given organic veggies with ranch and parfaits to refresh ourselves. There were also crackers and spinach dip to snack on. This was surprisingly filling and refreshing. We were then moved over to the hot tub area and lost track of time, but it was nice since we didn't feel rushed or time restricted. After the wash, you move to a big fluffy chair and are reclined for drying and scalp massage. They have several tools to help massage the scalp. It really depends who you get I suppose. She said she had very little massage and just felt like getting her hair washed at the hair salon. I don't think she'd go again. Disappointing for sure - it's something we were looking forward to experiencing. While they do dry your hair, it's not likely you'd want to go out in public after. The products that were supposed to be for a sensitive scalp left my hair dry and scalp extremely itchy, and brushing out my curly hair had it looking a frizzy mess. Out of the 5 or 6 times I've been here I have only been seen at the time of my appointment once. Once! I am often waiting 30-45 mins and I stay because I have a very tight schedule and make appointments on the only days I can. I'm currently sitting waiting for my 5:00 appointment and it is 5:40 and there are 5 others also waiting, though I don't know what time their appointments are or were. (At 5:06 my manicurist asked me to wait 15 mins and I said fine....but I ended up leaving at 5:45 because she was doing someone's pedicure.) I have always been happy with the services I've received here and their prices are reasonable, which are the reasons for the 2 stars, but I simply will not be back due to their constant lack of respect of "appointment times".

I was visiting family and hadn't been able to have my hair done since March. Lily did such an awesome job! I got my gray covered, highlights, and a haircut. I looked 15 years younger! My husband and father-in-law couldn't stop smiling and teasing how I looked so much younger. The cut framed my face and made my hair look so healthy. I'm hoping DMV will let me renew my license while I have this adorable look. Lily went into the back room and came out with a color that covered and blended. I love Kim T! I finally found an affordable and awesome hair stylist and I won't go to anyone else again. I've been going to Kim Tran for a few years and my mom has been seeing her for much longer, and we both love the fact that we can trust Kim to give us great styles when we want to try something new, or if we want to keep it the same she does an awesome job every time. Since I started getting my hair cut by Kim, I have gone from very long to now a short style. She always did an amazing job on my long hair and when I wanted to chop it all off and go for a short bob, she did an amazing job! Everyone compliments my new hair style. I got a haircut and style, I have long thick hair that is sometimes hard to manage and Lily did an absolutely amazing job at layering and styling. I was very satisfied with the results, all while the prices being very reasonable. Lily is the owner and she is the sweetest woman and has been doing hair for over 30 years so she is very skilled. Lily has been my hair stylist for over 6 years and I can honestly say she's just amazing. She uses such high quality products, before I went to her my hair was breaking from the roots and after my first visit it was like my hair had been transformed.
