The fitness/community center literally looks like a modern barn on the outside. Inside you will find much of the same fitness equipment you will find at Sunset. Persinger has a basketball court and a walking/running track you will not find at Sunset. Persinger has upstairs meeting rooms with an elevator. Sunset has a training room and a racketball court. My personal preference is Sunset because I feel it is more intimate than Persinger. Because of this I give Persinger four stars and Sunset five stars.

Shame on the parents that don't teach their kids correct etiquette.

We went on a paddle boat one time and it was a really fun experience! They have boundaries set up for you to stay within and they provide life jackets. They do only sit up to 4 people though! Their concessions stand has really good prices and lots of variety. We went once earlier in the season and once later in the season and the selection was definitely more in the beginning. This golf course is located on that property, which is great for those who are at the park, looking for a fun activity. The course is fairly simple to understand with many of the holes being part 2 or 3. Playing it was lots of fun! There's a fair number of water traps, so be careful with those! I had the worst luck and lost my ball to the water a few times. It was a bit of a pain going all the way back through the course to get a new ball, since there was no real direct route and you had to go by all the holes you've passed. The park could use some cleaning, too. I know it's outside and it's a park attraction, but the gazebo was covered in spider webs that were pretty hidden, making it easy to miss them and accidentally get a hand full of web. (Not my favorite thing...) Also, there were various missing or loose bricks to watch out for. But overall, I had fun playing mini golf at River View and would do it again.

For the amount of kids that they service, there really needs to be a cleaning crew there daily and maintenance there weekly. The lobby should be mopped multiple times a day with all the bare feet walking through there and bathrooms given attention multiple times a day. One of the bathroom soap dispenses was out for a week!! and the receptionist told me she would tell the cleaning crew. My jaw dropped when I heard they have a crew, because the nooks and crannies of lobby and bathrooms do not appear to ever be clean. Also, with all the traffic, both front doors need to be unlocked and accessible, On a positive note, my 9 y/o daughter enjoys classes here.

We have been in love with all their coaches!!! They all truly are passionate about coaching and you can tell! Also, anyone that is patient with my active nugget and firm but fair is cool by me!! They recently changed their policies so you pay monthly, which for us works out well. In the long run it makes sense where If your child is ready to move to the next level, you don't have to wait until the current session is over for them to move. Our first coach was coach Tonda who set the bar WAYYYYYY high! She is amazing and spunky and we love love loved her! We have Coach Beth who is amazing and just so good and we also have Coach Eric who I love has his own style of teaching which is awesome and he is so amazing with the kids!!! I can't forget about Coach Matt who we haven't officially had but my daughter adores him! I cannot wait to see my baby grow with Bartlett gymnastics! Whitney made this experience extremely disappointing and honestly ruined my daughter's birthday…read moreparty. First, I had to pay for the party twice. I initially paid over the phone, and although the charge posted to my bank account, somehow it never registered with the park district. Because of that, I had to dispute the charge. To make matters worse, the park district is now trying to fight the dispute even though it was clearly a double charge situation. Before the party, I spoke with Whitney and was informed that extending the party to 5:30 PM would not be an issue because the final party slot was from 3:30-5:30 PM. The hosting itself was extremely disorganized. The kids did not begin playing games until nearly 4 PM, despite the party already being underway, and they were supposed to eat at 4:30 PM. Later, I asked again about extending the party to 5:30 PM, and the hosts stated, "We don't mind." While I left briefly to pick up pizza, I also spoke with Crystal at the front desk, who informed me she had spoken with Olivia, the host lead, and after a meeting near the front desk, everyone confirmed everything was fine regarding the extension. When I returned with the pizza, Crystal and both hosts again reassured me there were no issues and that the party could continue until 5:30 PM. Then at 4:53 PM, Whitney suddenly called and said, "Just to confirm, your party ends at 5 PM." At that point, I was beyond confused because every host, front desk employee, and supervisor I had spoken with had already confirmed otherwise. To make matters worse, once we were back in the party room, the hosts suddenly told me the kids could not eat in the room and instead had to eat in the hallway. My daughter was not even allowed to sing "Happy Birthday" properly in the room. I literally had to sing Happy Birthday to my daughter in the hallway. The entire experience felt chaotic, poorly communicated, and incredibly inconsiderate. It honestly felt like Whitney found every reason possible to make my daughter's special day difficult instead of enjoyable. Ironically, one of the hosts later apologized to me directly and even stated, "We really don't mind since there isn't another party." This completely contradicted what Whitney had been saying. First it was that another party was coming, then it changed to "custodial needs to come in." From the reservation process to the actual event, this was one of the worst party experiences I have ever had, and I deeply regret choosing this location for my daughter's birthday.

We've always had Coach D, who is firm with the kids (important!), but funny, playful, and creative with the activities they kids do. They aren't just games, they are intentional activities to help the kids build in strength and skill. We most recently completed the 2022 summer at Prairie. I appreciate the ease of enrolling and then getting to stay in the class until you want to stop. No re-enrolling every 8 weeks. No worrying about missing the start of the new session. Easy, no hassle canceling when you are finished. We've had no problems with a makeup when needed. Open gym is also so fun! Finally, the second floor viewing area for families gives a wonderful overview of any activity no matter where they are in the gym. Prairie Gymnastics is a clean, safe, fun, wonderful gym for kids to learn gymnastics.
