This is a tale of two companies. I was not happy with the technicians at all. The lead tech jumped to conclusions without doing a full system review, changed out parts unnecessarily and was difficult to deal with as he knew all the answers. The owner, Chris, however was extraordinary. I texted him with my concerns. He came out with the techs a few days later, agreed with assessment and adjusted the bill to remove the unnecessary costs. That sort of honesty and commitment to customer service is very rare. Buyers must always be aware of what work is being done but to have the owner step in like this surprised me. I'm confident Chris will be making some changes, at least through training. I would recommend the company. read more

The team at Elite Sprinkler Services was fantastic to work with. We have a system that had not been kept up for years, so we were expecting a huge and likely expensive and time-consuming job. The team was quick to respond on Yelp, very easy to schedule with online, and gave notice of when they were on their way. They were also very flexible when I needed to change the appointment time. Jose and Juan were very knowledgeable, kind, and efficient in their work, explaining clearly the issues they found along the way and the options we had for fixing them. They finished doing what needed to be done in a surprising amount of time, and left things neat after the job was done. Our sprinkler system now works like a charm, and we couldn't be happier. This is a review of Juan Castillo's visit on April 10th @ 1pm. I felt like Juan went above and beyond what was expected of him that day. They ran over their allotted time bc of an unexpected problem (and his assistant Tonio wanted to leave), but Juan pressed on until my entire sprinkler system was running smoothly. Manually watering a section of my backyard 2-3x a week was getting old and a waste of time. Therefore, I couldn't have been happier or more satisfied. Well, I could have, but that's another story for another day. Please tell Juan again how much I appreciated his skill and work ethic. What an "elite" group of handymen! Not sure that they have women. So far, they haven't sent any females my way. I was extremely pleased with Jose Brito that I told boss Chris Smith that I did NOT want anyone else. But bc they are super busy and bc I didn't want to wait for months on "busy but bueno Brito", Chris sent 3 different sprinkler guys to my home, on 3 separate occasions. My reviews of the other 2 (Jose Brito and Juan Isidoro) are on Google reviews. Turns out that ALL 3 of the guys from Elite Sprinkler Services were professional, respectful and friendly, which speaks highly of the boss, Chris Smith. It's a reflection of how he runs his company and what he expects out of his employees - job-knowledge skills, as well as customer-service skills. They took time to explain to me what the problem was, why it happened, and how they plan to fix it. Then, using a phone app, they showed me an ITEMIZED quote of the services and parts needed and gave me a chance to ask questions or voice objections BEFORE doing any work. Wow! Usually, the other handymen make some random calculations in their head or call their boss for a minute or so, then gives me a verbal total for me to approve. On Feb 22nd, Jose Brito made such a good impression on me during the SnoVid aftermath that I joined Elite Sprinkler's maintenance plan. Mind you, they are not cheap but they are very fair. If you value price over quality and transparency, then look elsewhere. I highly recommend Elite Sprinkler Services, and will prob be a customer for life (my life, not theirs). read more

Had them come out again a couple years later since my initial review. They did a Great job communicating when they were about to head out to our house. We had another pipe that was punctured/broken which would cause alot of water to leak out when the sprinkler system was on. They were able to fix it along with adding a few sprinkler heads as request. They also checked the entire sprinkler system to make sure nothing else was broken and made minor adjustments. Pricing is still fair and didn't seem to jack up their prices significantly like most people have after the COVID19 pandemic. read more

This business was so responsive. I called on Saturday afternoon and left a message. Within an hour I had a return phone call and a confirmation email followed. I was given a two hour time frame for the repair person and he arrived in the first 45 minutes of the time frame. He was polite and efficient and completed the work. Chris showed up on time to review our lawn and existing system and delivered a formal quote the next morning! We had a scheduled start date to replace our existing system for the following week. They texted when they were on their way and showed up on time. They completed the installation in one day. He did have to return to complete the programming of the control portion because had lost cable / internet but because of the system he recommended, we did not have to take off from work. Internet cable was not really their fault, AT&T failed to come out and mark their lines like the other utility companies. Jose did an awesome job on the installation; even waited for us to lay some electrical wiring in the trench for a separate project. We contacted two other companies as well for competitive bids but one would not provide a formal quote and the other was too busy to even bid. I would suggest you not even bother and just call Chris and Elite first! read more

They no-showed to 2 scheduled appointments. I originally booked my first appointment through the yelp app. It was easy enough and I got a reply back quickly. I took the morning off from work so that I could get our sprinkler system fixed. My appointment was at 10am. At 10:20am I called, left voicemails and texted to see if they were still showing up. I finally got a text reply back around 1pm saying they were running late (3 hours after my scheduled appointment). I asked what time I could expect them and they said they could not tell me any specific time. At that point, frustrated, I texted them to just cancel my appointment. A few hours later I got another text message saying that there was some confusion about the appointment. They asked if I would like to reschedule. I decided to give them another shot because all of the other yelp reviews had been so positive. I rescheduled for Saturday morning 10-12. I texted at 11 am to see if they were still coming because no one had showed up or communicated with me about any delays. No reply. It is now 3pm and they still have not showed up nor have they called or texted. I would not recommend this company based on my experience. There is very poor communication through several different methods (text, phone and messaging through yelp app). On top of all of that they have no consideration for my time (missed 2 scheduled appointments and gave no communication about running late or having to reschedule. Jose and his assistant did a great job first diagnosing the actual problem within the first minute and then finding our lost valves. I elected to fix the broken and very old valve myself later, so he capped off the one leaking sprinkler head. He explained everything well. read more

Found Chris through Yelp and he did a good job. our neighbors (who have lived across the street for 15 years) don't recall the last time they noticed the sprinklers working (we purchased in 2016) so you can imagine the crap that piled up on top of the sprinklers. Husband removed some of the soil and grass but chris came and serviced the system. He spent hours in the hot sun, but now, we don't have to ask our neighbors to water our Plants if we decide to go away. We paid quite a bit of money, but... it's to be expected when the previous owners and the ones before them just left the system to die. Chris is very capable, text friendly and prompt. Chis is as best as they could come. It's a pleasure knowing you are not being taken advantage of while lacking knowledge in certain areas in irrigation, which is me of course. They had several jobs this week with the cold weather and Chris kept in touch to let me know when they'd be arriving and was accommodating when scheduling. So I thought I would give Elite sprinklers a try after reading reviews and seeing ratings from others on yelp. I had a busted bonnet and poppet on my backflow preventer from the cold weather of last winter. Elite was prompt and knowledgeable for the service provided. Jose and his team quickly and effectively replaced the parts needed. There was a bit of a mix up in terms of pricing at the end of the job. Chris called me to apologize for the mix up and offered me a credit for the difference. He also personally dropped off the credit check to my residence. Wow, this business actually does one of the most basic business fundamentals = communicate. 90% of contractors all have the same blood, meaning they think everybody else's schedule is the same schedule as theirs. They think their customers are available whenever they are available. And they choose to show up whenever it's convenient for them. This company communicated when they were in route on their way to my house. And they communicated again when they were done with the work. I hope other contractors are reading this review and learn from it. Learn to communicate with customers. One thing about Elite Sprinkler is that they know exactly what they are doing. They specialize in sprinkler services and nothing else and their expertise shines through. Jose was efficient and methodical from the minute he arrived until the job was completed, he followed the proper steps, quickly and accurately identified the issue (failed solenoid valve and diaphragm in one of the zones), located the valve housing in question using a detector and headphones in record time, proceeded to replace them, and tested the system to ensure everything worked properly. He and his coworker were able to accomplish the job in a quarter or a third of the time that it may take other repair outfits with less expertise.
