I called to schedule earlier in the week and received multiple updates via text and calls keeping me updated on his arrival time. He got held up at his previous job but I was notified he'd be late and promised to make it that day. After the inspection of the problem- he did not have the part so he said "hey I'll be back in 20 mins- that cool?" Instead of - sorry man, can't help you... My sprinkler system needed a complete overhaul; the previous owner had neglected it for years. I hired Lawnscaping Plus to do the work, and I was so glad I did. Tony and his crew did a great job --replaced almost all the heads, located some missing zones, and got the system working great. Less than a month later, half of the zones stopped working. I called the company, and Tony came over on his lunch hour from another job. He identified the problem (which was no fault of his), fixed it, and even did a few other adjustments on the system. Tony came out to replace our Pressure Vacuum Breaker and was incredibly friendly. We talked about his business and the difficulties/successes he's found. Took about an hour to install, explained the necessary adjustments to be in code. The price was fair (about what I had expected), unlike some other companies in the area who wanted over 1/3 more. What really sold me on the 5 star rating was his willingness to help fix a sprinkler issue with my neighbor - a single elderly woman with terminal cancer who has been in/out of the hospital due to the side effects of her chemo treatment. He volunteered to make the fix free-of-charge, despite our offer to pay for the fix. Great job on the system, very friendly service. I'll definitely use them again should the need arise. read more

God speed, Houston!!! My heart goes out to all those that are affected by the floods. It's unbelievable out there. Thank God my neighborhood was not affected. For a few months now, we've been taking about all the projects the house needs. And with all the torrential rain recently we decided to err on the side of precaution first and start with a drainage system for all the rain water pooling around the house. After reading reviews and calling a few businesses..... *****5 stars for customer service***** I called and spoke to Jennifer last night... last night people! After business hours!!! If that's not great customer service, I don't know what is!!! I wish I could give them more stars just for picking up the phone for a crazy potential customer who's freaking out about water pooling around the foundation. Jennifer was very nice on the phone, and gave me an appointment for the next day. (All the other businesses I called were closed, as one might expect at 6:30pm. No messages left. :P) *****5 stars for honesty and truthfulness**** Tony came to do the quote today. He took a peek around the yard before approaching the front door. He's was very nice too! He asked what I thought I needed. I took him around to see the entire perimeter of my home and he said he didn't recommend a drainage system, he recommended rain gutters. WHAT!!!!=O We had already looked into the pricing of the drainage system, we knew what to expect, I wasn't expecting to be told I didn't need the system. He made some other recommendations to me, nothing of benefit to him, so I'm glad I called them. I would give a 6th if i could. I am new to Houston and definitely new to lawn ownership. We ran the lawn into the ground when we first moved in. I hired Tony and his team to rehab our place in the Heights and I can't say enough how refreshing it was to deal with such a professional. After reading all these great reviews I decided to call them to repair the dated sprinkler system in my newly purchased home. They were booked for three weeks or so, but managed to squeeze me in after a few days. Tony came to our house on time, did a great job getting our sprinkler system working again, gave us tips on how to take care of it and was overall professional, friendly and great. Our system is old and not very nicely installed, but when we asked whether we should improve it or totally replace it, he told us how it could be improved in the most cost-effective way, and never pushed or even recommended the more expensive option of total replacement. Excellent service and experience. When I initially called, Tony took the time to speak with me on the phone and I explained what was going on with one zone of my sprinklers. He told me what to do to shut down the sprinklers when they wouldn't turn off and then told me what he thought the problem probably was. I made an appointment for him to come out and fix the problem but he was unable to keep the appointment because he had to have a root canal. Wanted to provide an update on my drainage system one year and one massive hurricane later. Things are still running smoothly! My home survived Hurricane Harvey and we were one of the few fortunate homes in our neighborhood to remain dry. I am confident that I have Lawnscaping Plus to thank for this! My flagstone patio is aging well and still looks great. Lawnscaping Plus does excellent work and they standby everything they do. They have come out to make some minor fixes over the past year, no questions asked. Excellent business with an honest, dependable owner! 7/16/2016 Tony and his team are amazing! My home recently flooded due to poor drainage and grading and I desperately needed a solution to prevent future flooding. Tony came out on a Saturday and spent a lot of time with me evaluating my yard in order to develop the best drainage solution for my problem. He knew I needed the work done quickly and he got his team to work right away. They removed an old deck, installed several drains and also tied in our gutter downspouts, did some grading and installed a beautiful flagstone and pea gravel patio. Our yard looks amazing and the drain works perfectly. I'm confident our home will be dry for years to come. I highly recommend Tony. All I have to say is that Tony is such a genuine down to earth guy. He came all the way from Cypress to Sugar Land to fixed the backyard sprinklers after our dog chewed off all the heads, ate up one of sprinkler solenoids, and chewed through the solenoid wires. He gave me an estimate of $200 over the phone, and his assistant said that would be a minimum. After fixing the solenoid he turned on the backyard sprinklers only to realize about 10 sprinkler heads had been chewed off. Tony said he would replace all the sprinkler heads at no additional cost, and I was so appreciative. I think he probably has the best pricing in all of Houston. He does not charge a fee to drive out to your place, gas, or an initial inspection like most other companies. I was so happy with the job I asked for some business cards, and I will be sharing the good work he does with as many of co-workers as I can. He gave me advice for the best days and times to water the lawn in this humid weather so the dog does not have a chance to chew through any of the sprinkler heads again. Tony adjusted the sprinkler box in the garage to water on Mondays and Thursdays at 4:00AM. He also mentioned we only needed to water for 7 minutes instead of the 17 minutes it was set on, and then he adjusted the time to 7 minutes for us. That means we are also going to save on our water bill each month too! :D I give his company 5 stars, and trust me even though he does not have a lot of reviews what he does have is a small number of high quality reviews that are 100% truthful and trustworthy. Thank you so much for hard work and a fair quote for the work done. One of the other reviews here said they gave him more money because they did not think he charged enough for the job. Tony came out to give me an estimate on sprinkler repairs last Tuesday August 2nd. We were needing some repairs due to pool company tearing the crap out of the existing system. He said he would get back to me with an email....never has done that! I don't mind if he can't do the work....just tell me you can't do it. They are a dime a dozen. My thing is just tell me you can't do it because it's not worth the time, to busy, something! But just to flat out not get back to a potential customer....not good business. Had a 3rd party company (no longer in business) install my sprinklers close to 10 years ago and needed a few things fixed. Lawnscaping Plus showed up, fixed all of the issues while taking the time to thoroughly test for leaks while explaining exactly what was being done. One major problem was caused by roots damaging the sprinkler head and he spent a good amount of time making sure that it was fixed correctly. Once the major issue was fixed, he straightened up the crooked heads and fixed a few nozzles that were clogged and pointed out several nozzles that weren't even the right ones to begin with. End result - all issues fixed, good price and I now have a more efficient sprinkler system. As a bonus, he gave me advice on future issues to look out for on a 10+ year old system. Where do I start? Arrived the same day that I called, completely restored our ageing sprinkler system to "like new" condition. The team came out a few days later at the agreed time and completed the previously determined repairs. I was informed by my lawn guy that my sprinkler system was leaking. Today I looked up "lawn sprinkler repair" and Lawnscaping Plus had the highest reviews so I gave them a call. They were able to come out the very same day - just 2 hours after I called! Tony checked out my sprinkler system, made the repairs and even installed some silicone wire nuts on the exposed wires I had because he happened to have the parts in his truck (not part of what I had asked to be checked so it was nice that he looked for himself). Called on a Friday morning to arrange an appointment. My previous provider couldn't come until Monday. They scheduled a time between 11-12, arrived early at about 10:30. Bryan was very professional as was his staff. Fixed the broken line the went to work in checking the rest of the system. Found a few other real problems and provided a fair estimate. Gave the go ahead and they went to work on resolving all of the irrigation issues, programmed the controls and checked to insure all was in order. I was hoping to use Lawnscaping for our project but they have not been returning my calls, so they must not need my business. I had them come out on June 29th to look at our landscaping needs and I was told to expect a quote within a week. I called Tony Cuellar 2 weeks later after not hearing any communication from them and left a voicemail and ne never called me back. I also called the office number and left a VM, and did not get a call back. Finally I was able to get someone at the office (Jennifer) who apologized and said she saw my folder with the quote and would get back to me...2 weeks later and nothing. Our sprinkler system was leaking and soaked our entire backyard. We called on a Friday and they were able to come out on Saturday. The appointment was originally for 4pm, but they called and were able to come out 4 hours earlier, which we were very happy with!
