There's a self-wash place not too far down the street, on the oter side of 15 - the road parellels the entrance to 15N. Somehow, my car came out with what appeared to be scratches on the paint. According to the attendant,. They also missed dirt/sand when then did the interior vacuum and the windows were streaky. I essentially re did the wax job and interior job myself when I got back home. I was not amused. What's the sense of paying for a car wash and service when i ended up having to do it again? The second time, I went with the $8 job and got a clean, sparkling vehicle with a half assed towel dry but my car looks bright red instead of orange. I just did the interior and vacuuming at home. I'm not above putting in some elbow grease to make my car look brand new. Basically: $20 wash=1 Star $8 wash= 3 stars (the half assed towel wipe knocked it down a star and then they wanted a tip. Uh. NO) Average: 2 stars. For a quick in and out, I'll give them another shot.

This facility doesn't have the option to just pay for a vac by the minute. Instead, you get use of the vacs for free when you buy a car wash. I suppose you could just drive up and use the free vac but I think that would be dishonest. Instead, I paid $15 for a spotty car wash. When I pulled into the vac area, none of them were on. Someone went in and asked about them and the vacs finally turned on. They had terrible suction though. The sand and dog hair weren't coming out at all. I saw one of the employees checking out a vac so maybe they were having problems that day. It took me almost an hour to get my truck interior somewhat clean. I left there pretty frustrated.

While I acknowledge that car washes may not always achieve a 100% clean car, this particular one does a decent job. However, I wish the consistency in their power washing prep technique was improved. Additionally, SUVs have a higher roofline, making it impossible for them to reach the top and towel dry the entire car. It would be great if they had a two-step stool to facilitate thorough drying of the entire vehicle.
