Really enjoyed this little espresso bar! It's down the stairs right off the main street and tucked away. It's a very small but clean shop! I loved their menu and decided to try the pistachio latte with an extra shot of espresso. My fiancee got the blood orange tea. The tea was refreshing and tasted exactly like blood orange! We loved it. I also really loved how strong my pistachio latte was, had a very potent taste and caffeine punch. The prices weren't bad either, especially for being in La Jolla. They also had a wide variety of desserts and gelato. We tried a sample of the coffee gelato and it was soooo good. Next time we are in the treat mood down here we will have to stop. I came in while waiting for a fashion show to begin in the plaza. It was a hot day and I wanted a cool drink. It looks like the perfect spot for an Affogato and I was right. I was helped quickly, and the girl was very friendly. I ordered my Affogato with salted caramel gelato. They were pretty busy so it took a few minutes, but I didn't mind cause it was cooler in there than outside. I love the fact that they have the desserts by Clement products on display and I saw several people ordering them. I received my Affogato and sat outside. It had a lot of flavor and I enjoyed it. It was a bit pricey, but it is La Jolla after all. I'd love to come back another time and check out their wines and other menu items. read more

As you can see the crepe is missing most of the ingredients and looks nothing like the pictures, and they didn't even tell me. I called and they said they were out of banana and forgot to mention it and would "try" to give me a refund. (They ended up refunding me $2). Mexican mocha was okay, pretty grainy and a bit worried if they made an on menu item incorrectly, was my drink made correctly? 08.01.2024 Hubby and I came by early after a grocery store stop to try their coffee. The small shop is on the first floor of an open courtyard building, just take the steps down from the sidewalk/street level. It has a large open window to sit at and a welcoming entrance. Free WiFi is available if you want to sit and work. Seating is limited inside but there are outdoor couches/chairs right outside the shop in the courtyard. There was only one female employee working the register and being the barista. She was friendly and nice. I ordered a Cafe Viennese today and it was soothing with the honey and cinnamon. The temperature was just right so I was able to drink it right away. They also double cup so a sleeve isn't necessary. But if you're the sipping type, your coffee could turn cold before you finish. read more

The two people working there were friendly and helpful, and service was fast 3.5 stars for the cappuccino. It was better than Starbucks (most anything is), but not as good as others I've had. 5 stars for the crepe shell - loved the taste and texture of the crepe shell. Yum! 1.5 stars for the filling (turkey, spinach and mozzarella) - The turkey tasted like very average deli turkey (I'd hoped for something less processed), a very tiny amount of spinach and cheese, and not much flavor in any of it. Maybe the sweet crepes would be better, but this was my first savory crepe and I definitely wouldn't repeat this experience, especially for $12.50 All in all a mixed experience. I might come back to try the gelato or a sweet crepe or pastry, but I definitely didn't get the quality I'd hoped for in the items I purchased, especially for the price. read more

Been here a couple times when I visit San Diego. This place is located in a quaint plaza in La Jolla. Walking in, it had such a warm, cozy ambiance. It would be an amazing spot to do work or read. Great hidden spot for coffee, fantastic rich donuts and crepes! Very classy and artsy vibe and very peaceful the few times I have been. I was able to get some work done in between running errands but at the same time you don't feel like everyone goes there for 'work and coffee' which is what I like about coffee shops.
