I experienced some of the best natural Pistachio gelato and some pretty good Stracciatella as well. There's no doubt the gelato here is handcrafted and made with all natural ingredients. It is very evident from the color, texture, and flavor of the pistachio gelato. It had a great natural flavor. I love that they do not use artificial coloring in their gelatos. The pistachio gelato was phenomenal. The Stracciatella was very good, too. It was not only flavorful, but offered a great creamy texture as well. The chocolate morsels were great. I just wished they were a little larger. The hospitality was first rate. The young lady and young man working the shop were very nice and helpful. The flavors are so creamy and flavorful My favorite is always coffee, but I tried a flavor called Bacio They have public bathrooms, which is a tourist city so that's a plus The service was great. We used to always come here as a family after we dined at Garage Buona Forchetta across the street. We started getting dessert at the restaurant for dinner and had not been here on years. I am glad that we decided to come here. The fruit flavored gelatos are PHENOMENAL here. Actually, all of the flavors are excellent. I decided on a 3 flavor waffle cone, and I am so happy that I did. My flavors were Opera (pistachio & hazelnut), Pear, and Nutella/Hazelnut. This gelato is absolutely decadent, fresh, and delicious. They also serve espresso drinks and they do the espresso pairings with gelato, like affogatos, etc. I usually have Gelato Paradiso but it is on the other side in of Coronado. This hit the spot. Overall, average gelato. My guy and I got to try a few flavors before we ordered. I was very grateful for this because we ordered the only 2 flavors that were good to us: Mascarpone Lemon Zest and Blueberry Lemon (Chef's Special). We got a small and the scoops were baby scoops compared to what most gelato places will give you. We ended up getting tired of the flavors after a few bites each and didn't wanna finish the rest. I came here by chance because we just finished up our bike ride next door at Wheel Fun Rentals. I saw there was a line going in, so I looked this up on Yelp really quick and saw there were great reviews for this place. So decided to check this out! The line moved by very quickly, it seemed like everyone already knew what they wanted to get haha. I asked if they do samples (since I didn't see anyone doing that?) but yes they do! I got to sample a few and the pistachio and hazelnut stood out to me the most. Thankfully the small size cup comes with 2 flavors cause BLESSSS. For the price of these 2 flavors in a small cup, it's very affordable! I don't have gelato very often, but the gelato here was sooooo soft and rich. Between the two flavors I got, I actually really enjoyed the hazelnut one the most. It's definitely sooo rich and extremely soft. I selected a small size which is $5.85 and includes your choice of two flavors - matcha and amaretto for me! The matcha had an authentic tea flavor with a nice balance of earthy and milky notes. After not having a matcha for about a week, this was delightful. The amaretto tasted similar to marzipan with tiny bits of crushed almonds throughout; I could have definitely devoured a full cup of just this one. I enjoyed my gelato overall, but it just wasn't as creamy as I anticipated. I also found a small chunk of ice in the amaretto, so I'm not quite sure what happened there, but I can easily look past it.
