    Flys in pizza
    Sarena L.

Pizza had flys in it! When I walked into the store, there was a big big fat flying flying around all of the pizzas multiple different ones well one of employees just watching the fly go from one pizza to another then I look over and see this little fly on a completely different pizza I was so grossed out I couldn't even eat it anymore

Definitely one of my favorite dinner options in North Park! I'm here in the area for shows at Observatory fairly frequently, and this is on my rotation of spots when I need a quick dinner. The crust is great because it's light & fluffy inside, crunchy outside. It also is a little healthier because it's lighter on cheese and sauce, heavier on fresh toppings. I love that they have tons of choices. This time I had mushroom, pepperoni, cheese, and hot honey. It was delicious, with tons of mushrooms. My friend enjoyed his jalapeño pepperoni and regular pepperoni as well. Their gelato is great too. My usual is the cherry hazelnut, but I usually try a tester of some of the seasonal flavors. Limited seating, either inside on the wall or a few tables outside. When I'm eating by myself, I usually get it to go.

A great spot for a quick but delicious slice of pizza! They have so many unique options and flavors, and a great display of their offerings at the window. I tend to gravitate towards pizzas without tomato sauce, and they had plenty of choices. I got one with tumeric and ricotta, and it was delicious and one slice was a perfect snack. The cashier was very friendly and warmed up the pizza for me, and there was casual counter seating where I enjoyed my pizza. They also serve gelato, which I definitely want to try next time! It's located in a popular walkable street in Norrh Park, and even open late for those who are there for the nightlife.

Diavolo was super spicy for me. The turmeric ome was good! It was flavorful and had some rasp jam for sweetness and added depth! the artichoke spicy one was also really good and i liked the taste. i liked it more than the diavolo! Its a small cozy and casual shop with counter seating and some outdoor seats! You go in and order the pizza and they will heat it up in the pizza oven for you. pretty quick and efficient.

    Best pup cups in town!!

Still the best pizza and gelato joint in town! You get the most awesome pizza cooked on a cedar board followed by sweet tasty gelato - what's not to like? Seating is outside and extremely limited. And little to no seating inside - this place is still packed. Great service as well - they are fast with the rush hour crowd. This is truly one of my favs!!

    Vegan Arrabbiata Slice Pizza

Pizza by the slice with this many options? I honestly can't think of many places in San Diego that do it this well. And they have gelato too, what more could I ask for on a hot sunny day? There's seating inside, mostly high-top tables, and plenty of outdoor seating along the sidewalk. I also loved the little netted door they have to keep flies and bugs out. I decided to get the vegan arrabbiata slice to go, and wow, it was absolutely delicious . My only regret is not ordering a second slice. Of course, I couldn't leave without trying the gelato. Choosing a flavor was honestly the hardest part because everything looked so good. After sampling a few recommendations from the staff, I went with the coffee hazelnut, and it did not disappoint. One thing I really appreciated was the portion size. The small gelato was actually small, not one of those giant servings that somehow counts as a small. It was the perfect amount and left me satisfied without feeling overly full. Between the pizza, the gelato, and the friendly staff, this place was a winner for me. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more of their pizza slices.

Pistachio / Olive Oil Orange Zest and Agave

The pizza looked good with a variety of choices. I came here for gelato though. I had a small cup with a choice of two flavors. I went with my go to pistachio and also something interesting- olive oil, orange zest, & agave. The pistachio was average. I sampled the olive oil and liked it, but the scoop I was given was melty. Meh.

Pepperoni & honey and sausage & potato pizzas

So glad I stopped in here the other night and will definitely be returning! I swear I've walked by many times before and never noticed it. On this occasion, it was the pizzas displayed in the window that caught my attention, not to mention that I wanted dessert. In addition to the outdoor seating, they have seating against the wall of this cute compact restaurant. It's more of a rectangle with the enticing pizza at the front and gelato options towards the back. They have an amazing variety, some of which I would never have thought to combine before, let along put on pizza. Im also a huge fan of this style of pizza - packed with toppings and a square crispy crust. Another plus is their vegetarian and vegan options. While it was hard to choose, I went with the pepperoni/mushroom/mozzarella/honey pizza and the sausage/potato/rosemary pizza. So delicious and was surprised they gave 2 squares (I was only expecting 1). To add to the experience, they heated up the pizza and delivered it on a wooden slab. Lastly I got my dessert in the form of snickers gelato, perfect way to end the meal. Everything was 5 stars for me including the service, variety, taste and quality of the food and its cute cozy atmosphere. I will be back to try other combos!

i got the jalapeno & pepperoni pizza that also has dollops of ricotta cheese. pizza was unremarkable and just fine. dont get me wrong, it was good but there's so many other better places to visit. there is an option for everyone but i do believe prices were a bit steep. it's super small inside, much more of a grab and go!

Very nice pizza and customer service here! The variety of pizza and gelato to choose from were great, ready to eat right away. The gentleman was kind and patient with my friends and I. I chose the mushroom + sage pizza and would get it again. Definitely recommend this place for a nice lunch with friends or a quick stop for a snack. *Matcha in picture is from a different local shop

Don't let this tiny, nondescript, no frills hold in the wall pizzeria and Gelateria deter you! THE PIZZA HERE IS AMAZING!!! Not sure what the crust it is, but its got that Roman square style thick crunch that doesn't exist anywhere else San Diego. As on their website "Simply Natural Roman-style Pizza al Taglio. A variety of one-of-a-kind pizzas...". The toppings and styles change daily it seems, with at least a dozen different tempting choices. I've had a variety of them, the mushroom is always favorite. The meaty ones are fantastic too. About $5-6/slice.

Cute and fun spot for gelato, gourmet pizza and spirits with late night hours. We enjoyed the gelato outside the store and took back our pizza to heat up at our Airbnb, delicious!

My friends and I were just looking to get a coffee in Little Italy, but when we walked in and saw all the delicious treats we had to try something else as well. I ordered a latte and neglected to tell them it was for here so I was given a paper cup, but they give real cups if you ask. The latte was good, and my friend bought a kitchen sink type cookie with chocolate, coconut, and macadamia nuts. It was warm and gooey good! Another friend tried the gelato and said it was very good. There are a few tables inside and tables out in front outside. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful San Diego weather. The decor and tables definitely gives you an old school Italian neighborhood vibe with Italian markets right next door. If I am in the neighborhood again, I would definitely come back here to try the gelato and/or a piece of an excellent looking lemon pie bar I spotted.

It was later in the day so they were out of or running low on some flavors. Nevertheless, the two flavors we tried were incredibly rich and flavorful. A little goes a very long way. I was really excited to try this ice cream shop after seeing it all over Instagram and TikTok…read more Everyone seemed to be calling it one of the best ice cream spots in San Diego, and after finally trying it for myself, I completely understand the hype. We waited nearly an hour and a half, close to two hours, in line near closing time. It was freezing outside, and there were definitely moments when we questioned whether it was worth it. Looking back, I can honestly say it was. One thing that immediately stood out was the service. The staff continuously came through the line offering samples, explaining the different flavors, sharing how some of them were created, and helping people decide what they might enjoy before reaching the counter. It made the long wait feel much more manageable and showed how much they genuinely care about the customer experience. When it was finally our turn, I was completely overwhelmed in the best way possible. Every flavor I sampled seemed better than the last. Even the flavors I was convinced I would not like ended up surprising me and becoming some of my favorites. The creativity, quality, and balance of flavors were honestly impressive. Everything tasted unique, thoughtful, and incredibly well executed. My friends and I spent so much time trying to decide which flavors to choose because there were simply too many good options. That is not a problem I usually have at an ice cream shop. The only thing I regret is not ordering a bigger size. The moment I finished my ice cream, I wished I had gotten a larger cup or cone because it was that good. This place is truly a gem. I would love to see them expand beyond San Diego because I have no doubt they would be just as successful in Los Angeles and Orange County. While I hope the line is a little shorter next time, I would absolutely come back and wait for this ice cream again. It was one of the most memorable desserts I have had in a long time.
