Cigars Dessert Cafe is located on a Garnet Ave in Pacific Beach and opened about two months ago. I was able to find a parking spot steps away. There are other locations throughout San Diego, the ones I've been to are both located in Hillcrest at opposite ends of University Avenue. Here, there's indoor and outdoor seating. The seating arrangement and vibrant decor makes use of the limited space. The shop was organized and clean as expected from a new cafe. I was greeted right away by Ivo, who answered my questions about the desserts: that they're made at their other location and delivered here. There were some spectacular looking desserts in the display case, I wish I can get every single one, eat them all and not gain any calories or weigh...lol but's that's just Me wishful thinking. Various coffee concoctions also offered which pairs well with these desserts. I will be dreaming of the gelato cakes, similar it ice cream cakes :) The gelato is made in house and they all looked so yummy that I had to get a small cup of pistachio and tiramisu, two flavors that my pup Fendi happens to like a lot. After I requested, I was glad Ivo wore gloves prior to scooping the gelato and I did taste the gelato prior to purchasing, both flavors were yummy. My little pup loved the gelato, a nice little treat that had her singing opera: Figaro Figaro Figaro!! Worthy of your visit. Recommend

I wandered into Fígaro after lunch recently and it was familiar having been to their other locations in the past. Staff was friendly and I tried two gelato samples! I love affogatos, so ended up getting it with honey lavender which had good strength from the espresso with a creamy sweetness perfect combo with my gelato flavor selection! I also saw their selection of cakes, pastries, and other desserts which looked perfect and appetizing! I would love to gift those sweet treats for family or friends in the near future. There is ample seating for those looking to enjoy their dessert inside. A great new option for dessert in the heart of PB!

Absolutely enjoyed this dessert and can't believe they have only been open for a month and a half - two months. Happened to find this place because I was looking for affogato and read the reviews were fantastic but didn't realize it must have been for another location. Even though this location is new, the affogato was on point!! So delicious. The service was great, the guy helping us out was so sweet and patient with us, we must have asked a million questions, the choices for gelato, awesome, and the desserts look incredible. There's some inside seating and outside seating, overall a great place.

Great little dessert cafe! We are in town to go SeaWorld. This place made us leave The Hotel for dessert and we are so happy we did!

There desserts are Exceptional. And Ivo the employee who helped us was very friendly and answered our questions. My husband and can't wait to Go back and try some of the Gelato ice cream flavors.

I recently stopped by this spot in Pacific Beach and I am officially obsessed! If you are looking for the perfect coastal caffeine fix, this is it. The Service: From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredible. They were so welcoming, patient while I chose my drink, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. It's rare to find service this friendly and efficient in such a busy beach neighborhood! The Treats: The coffee was spot on, but the cakes were the real star of the show. Seriously delicious--moist, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. It was the perfect pairing with my latte. Looking Ahead: I already know where I'll be spending my summer days. I saw they have gelato/ice cream on the menu and I cannot wait to come back when the weather warms up to try a few scoops. If you're in San Diego, do yourself a favor and check this place out!

So happy to have a new go to coffee and gelato spot in PB! The shop is super bright and welcoming, literally perfect for some post beach sweets. I tried a few samples and ended up with a medium gelato that was absolutely incredible. Def the best dessert in the neighborhood. I brought home one of their gelato cakes for a dinner party and everyone loved it. Great coffee menu too! It's the perfect addition to the San Diego dessert scene plus sitting on the outdoor patio with a latte is the best way to spend a San Diego afternoon

What an amazing place for Gelato & Coffee. This adorable little shop is decorated beautifully inside with indoor and outdoor seating located on Garnet Ave in Pacific Beach. The service is impeccable with a kind face behind the counter asking if you would like to sample any of the flavors. The Gelato was so creamy and the best I have ever had. I highly recommend this place to stop by if you live or are just visiting the area.

outdoor seating, perfect to sit and relax while watching the busy street!

My friends and I were just looking to get a coffee in Little Italy, but when we walked in and saw all the delicious treats we had to try something else as well. I ordered a latte and neglected to tell them it was for here so I was given a paper cup, but they give real cups if you ask. The latte was good, and my friend bought a kitchen sink type cookie with chocolate, coconut, and macadamia nuts. It was warm and gooey good! Another friend tried the gelato and said it was very good. There are a few tables inside and tables out in front outside. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful San Diego weather. The decor and tables definitely gives you an old school Italian neighborhood vibe with Italian markets right next door. If I am in the neighborhood again, I would definitely come back here to try the gelato and/or a piece of an excellent looking lemon pie bar I spotted.

I felt it was more of an experience as they started you with a palate cleanser and walked you through all the flavors, having you sample each one rather than you asking for specific samples like every other ice cream / gelato shop I've ever been to. They provided a description of each flavor and a sample. The flavors are definitely unique and most nothing like I've tried before. They change their menu every two weeks. There were two stations of flavors, so two parties being helped at one time. I can see how the wait can be long on weekends or summer evenings. The shop is small inside with a little bench by the window for seating and just three small tables outside. I was able to find parking a short walk away, but that could also be a challenge on a weekend. I ordered a tall cup with two flavors side by side (lingerie and ripstop). The gelato was creamy and delicious. I'd love to be able to come here again and try new flavors!

Damn. I love pizza…read more I really do. The issue here is that Gelati & Peccati has made it very difficult to enjoy other pizzas. It was so good that I've had to compartmentalize a bit so I can go about my life enjoying lesser pizza such that I can still kind of find a "bad" slice of greasy pizza satisfying. Anyway. Gelati & Peccati, roman-style pizza extraodinaires. I have tried a few of their slices by now, but my absolute favorite is the Lussuria. Potato on pizza is something I've always loved, and don't see enough of, so I knew I had to get it here. It did not disappoint. When I stop by to try something new, I always, always have to get a slice of Lussuria. Others I've tried have been the Meatball, Piccante and Mangia. It is not fine dining but fast and casual. Perfect for a summer night with friends or family. Both times I visited from Chicago. I have never been to Italy, but I am fairly well traveled and have had my fair share of quality pizza. Gelati and Peccati offer a wide variety and great quality pizza. The ingredients are fresh, the employees are fresher and serve people well. While the place isn't always the most clean on the outside, they keep the inside pretty clean. I have left it at four stars because the gluten free pizza was not very good but I am pretty picky with my five star reviews. What more is there to say? If you're looking for some of the best pizza I've tried in the USA, this is the place for you. 8/8 would recommend to my mates.

There are also plenty of gift sets, choco spreads and what appeared to be a fudge/brittles case in this section as well. The bacio di dama, panna cotta, and tiramisu flavors were my favorite. All were super creamy, and had distinct layers of rich flavor. In the case of the tiramisu, the espresso and marscapone notes really shone through, culminating in a very well composed chocolate treat. Hats off again to the good service - I was offered additional samples during my visit, and while I declined, this generosity truly added to the experience and is a favorable note that will linger in my memory of this first Venchi experience.

But what really made the experience was the guy working the front -- an Italian gentleman with an accent who brought so much authenticity to the whole thing. He was nice, accommodating, super efficient (making cones in between taking orders), and genuinely friendly. Now onto the gelato. My husband usually gets the dark chocolate, which is always a winner. We've had the pistachio before too -- rich, slightly sweet, and earthy. This time I tried the white coffee, which was nutty, sweet, and herbaceous with virtually no bitterness. We also got the coffee crunch: sweet, buttery, with slightly bitter espresso or mocha notes, layered with a satisfying, brittle crunch. The coffee bits weren't overpowering and were small enough to chew easily. And of course, we love getting the waffles coated in chocolate and sprinkles. Highly recommend if you're at UTC and want a little taste of Italy.
