Affogato- Honey lavendar gelato in espresso
    Meri A.

I wandered into Fígaro after lunch recently and it was familiar having been to their other locations in the past. Staff was friendly and I tried two gelato samples! I love affogatos, so ended up getting it with honey lavender which had good strength from the espresso with a creamy sweetness perfect combo with my gelato flavor selection! I also saw their selection of cakes, pastries, and other desserts which looked perfect and appetizing! I would love to gift those sweet treats for family or friends in the near future. There is ample seating for those looking to enjoy their dessert inside. A great new option for dessert in the heart of PB!

Absolutely enjoyed this dessert and can't believe they have only been open for a month and a half - two months. Happened to find this place because I was looking for affogato and read the reviews were fantastic but didn't realize it must have been for another location. Even though this location is new, the affogato was on point!! So delicious. The service was great, the guy helping us out was so sweet and patient with us, we must have asked a million questions, the choices for gelato, awesome, and the desserts look incredible. There's some inside seating and outside seating, overall a great place.

Great little dessert cafe! We are in town to go SeaWorld. This place made us leave The Hotel for dessert and we are so happy we did!

There desserts are Exceptional. And Ivo the employee who helped us was very friendly and answered our questions. My husband and can't wait to Go back and try some of the Gelato ice cream flavors.

I recently stopped by this spot in Pacific Beach and I am officially obsessed! If you are looking for the perfect coastal caffeine fix, this is it. The Service: From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredible. They were so welcoming, patient while I chose my drink, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. It's rare to find service this friendly and efficient in such a busy beach neighborhood! The Treats: The coffee was spot on, but the cakes were the real star of the show. Seriously delicious--moist, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. It was the perfect pairing with my latte. Looking Ahead: I already know where I'll be spending my summer days. I saw they have gelato/ice cream on the menu and I cannot wait to come back when the weather warms up to try a few scoops. If you're in San Diego, do yourself a favor and check this place out!

So happy to have a new go to coffee and gelato spot in PB! The shop is super bright and welcoming, literally perfect for some post beach sweets. I tried a few samples and ended up with a medium gelato that was absolutely incredible. Def the best dessert in the neighborhood. I brought home one of their gelato cakes for a dinner party and everyone loved it. Great coffee menu too! It's the perfect addition to the San Diego dessert scene plus sitting on the outdoor patio with a latte is the best way to spend a San Diego afternoon

What an amazing place for Gelato & Coffee. This adorable little shop is decorated beautifully inside with indoor and outdoor seating located on Garnet Ave in Pacific Beach. The service is impeccable with a kind face behind the counter asking if you would like to sample any of the flavors. The Gelato was so creamy and the best I have ever had. I highly recommend this place to stop by if you live or are just visiting the area.

outdoor seating, perfect to sit and relax while watching the busy street!

My friends and I were just looking to get a coffee in Little Italy, but when we walked in and saw all the delicious treats we had to try something else as well. I ordered a latte and neglected to tell them it was for here so I was given a paper cup, but they give real cups if you ask. The latte was good, and my friend bought a kitchen sink type cookie with chocolate, coconut, and macadamia nuts. It was warm and gooey good! Another friend tried the gelato and said it was very good. There are a few tables inside and tables out in front outside. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful San Diego weather. The decor and tables definitely gives you an old school Italian neighborhood vibe with Italian markets right next door. If I am in the neighborhood again, I would definitely come back here to try the gelato and/or a piece of an excellent looking lemon pie bar I spotted.

It was later in the day so they were out of or running low on some flavors. Nevertheless, the two flavors we tried were incredibly rich and flavorful. A little goes a very long way. I was really excited to try this ice cream shop after seeing it all over Instagram and TikTok…read more Everyone seemed to be calling it one of the best ice cream spots in San Diego, and after finally trying it for myself, I completely understand the hype. We waited nearly an hour and a half, close to two hours, in line near closing time. It was freezing outside, and there were definitely moments when we questioned whether it was worth it. Looking back, I can honestly say it was. One thing that immediately stood out was the service. The staff continuously came through the line offering samples, explaining the different flavors, sharing how some of them were created, and helping people decide what they might enjoy before reaching the counter. It made the long wait feel much more manageable and showed how much they genuinely care about the customer experience. When it was finally our turn, I was completely overwhelmed in the best way possible. Every flavor I sampled seemed better than the last. Even the flavors I was convinced I would not like ended up surprising me and becoming some of my favorites. The creativity, quality, and balance of flavors were honestly impressive. Everything tasted unique, thoughtful, and incredibly well executed. My friends and I spent so much time trying to decide which flavors to choose because there were simply too many good options. That is not a problem I usually have at an ice cream shop. The only thing I regret is not ordering a bigger size. The moment I finished my ice cream, I wished I had gotten a larger cup or cone because it was that good. This place is truly a gem. I would love to see them expand beyond San Diego because I have no doubt they would be just as successful in Los Angeles and Orange County. While I hope the line is a little shorter next time, I would absolutely come back and wait for this ice cream again. It was one of the most memorable desserts I have had in a long time.

Yes, this review is a bit…read moredelayed, but after returning from Chicago, a city known for its pizza, I feel that I can reasonably claim that Chicago pizza doesn't compare to the masterpiece of culinary perfection served at Gelati & Peccati. Cuisine: 5/5. Full disclosure, I'm not a big pizza aficionado. In my experience, pizza usually either tastes over-processed or it lacks flavor--especially in the U.S. This was certainly my experience in Chicago. Large, dull slabs of dough, lacking in one iota of flavor, to the point where me and my European colleague kept pouring pepper on the pizza in the futile attempt to summon flavor out of the pizza. Up until my special experience at Gelati & Peccati, (sorry, I can't recall which slice I ordered), the only memorable pizza experience that forced me to reconsider my anti-pizza opinion was in Perpignan, France. And to be fair, this isn't an apples to apples comparison, as nearly every item of food in Europe tastes better than the over-processed poison served in the uniquely American hell-scape of chain restaurants and fast food joints. Note: there are many caveats to this claim, which include but aren't limited to Mexican food, Brazilian food, Thai food, Texas Brisket, Soul Food, and anything that isn't saltine cracker-bland AF. That said, the slice of heaven served at Gelati & Peccati is nothing but flames, and it stands in stark contrast to the banal slabs of dough purporting to be pizza in Chicago. Look, it's simple: I could actually taste each ingredient. Yes, the cheese tasted like actual cheese, and the veggies and sauce actually tasked like--food. This was just the paradigm shift that I needed when it comes to eating pizza in the U.S. I will definitely return the next time I pass through SD. Ambiance: 5/5. The woman working the ovens that night delivered authentic/energetic Euro vibes as she danced to EDM while preparing our pizzas. Definitely felt like we weren't in the states, which was refreshing. Much thanks! Buen provecho.

Just a stroll away from La Jolla shores, you can't beat the power combo of delicious gelato and the views. I cannot emphasize enough, without a fail I come here EVERYTIME I'm in the area. I won't lie, it's not a cheap sweat treat but it is worth every penny for the quality and sheer deliciousness in every bite. My go to flavor is the mediterraneo (don't know if I'm spelling that right) which is a mixed nut (hazelnut, almond, pistachio) flavor that is just as rich and luscious as you could imagine. The gelato melts quick so make sure to eat fast and enjoy the experience while it lasts. If you want to prolong the experience they also offer pints to take home with you. Sometimes they give samples out front but you can also request samples when you're inside before ordering. Their menu rotates seasonally with some mainstay flavors so there's almost always something new to try.
