Their gelatos are freshly made and tasted so healthy and delicious (not too sweet at all). My favorites are the coconut coffee and Bianca (their signature vanilla). The staff offer samples at both on the street and inside the store. The ambiance is super tight and cozy with very few outdoor seatings. They're located in an incline street so drive slowly so you don't miss it. Highly recommended!
I checked this gelato spot out while visiting and saw it was highly rated and on the yelps top gelato list. There was about a 10 min wait to get indoor and they allowed you to sample some gelato. I got the honey cinnamon and it was quite good! Sweet with a good balance of honey and cinnamon. This was a nice little treat while walking and exploring the area!

It was our first time trying this gelato place out and we were just amazed not how many people were inside the joint, but our server was immaculate! She took us inside and allowed us to try as many samples as we wanted- mind you there was 4 of us and she was so quick with handing us the samples. Now these samples were chunky I tell you! She definitely was above and beyond! It was so hard to choose the flavors..I spent a good while thinking about it but finally thought: "I'm in a new gelato spot that is miles away where I live, I gotta go for something different" - aha! "Pistachio and Honey Cinnamon combo" And I don't regret my choice.
So many flavors I wanted to sample so I asked if there was a limit and they said no. But there's such a long line, I imposed on myself. I ended up going with the Bacio. Amazing flavor. Subtle Nutella flavor. Love it Nice little spot but very packed. Perfect for going in and out and checking out the seals nearby.
Cute little gelato shop on the busy street of La Jolla. Hard to find parking, but walking distance to beach/seals. $6.50 for a small size gelato with two flavors. They offer samples outside of the shop as well as inside. Lots of vegan flavors/options which is super convenient. -vegan pistachio: 9.2/10. YUM! You can't even tell that it's vegan. -vegan matcha: 7/10. Good but had a weird consistency/flavor? Not as creamy as the pistachio.

I just love pistachio gelato because it's the only the that tasted good beside the actual pistachio nut!!! Long gets long sometime but move really fast!! There are few seats but fill up very fast! We came here after checking out the sea lions. This was a popular place since it was hot outside. I ordered the 3 flavor cup - mediterraneo, stracciatella, and dragon lemon. I enjoyed all of the flavors but the dragon lemon was the one that stood out the most. They have seating but it's very limited. People mostly just stood and ate their gelato. The staff was very friendly. The grande that I chose was $10.50. With the inflation in California, this is normal pricing for dessert.

I tried their panettone gelato, a holiday-inspired flavor based on the traditional Italian Christmas cake, and it was delicious. I really appreciate that they let you sample as many flavors as you'd like before choosing--such a nice touch. They offer three sizes: the piccola, which allows up to two flavors; the media, also up to two flavors; and the grande, where you can choose up to three flavors. They also sell pints and offer affogato, which is a great option. The service was excellent--everyone was friendly, helpful, and patient, especially if you're feeling indecisive. The ambiance was lovely as well, and they even have a nice outdoor seating area.

The gelato is grainier and icier, not a smooth and creamy type of gelato. I will say that the flavors seem very fresh and non-artificial, which is a plus. Inside was very small, and there's not much room to stand. There is some seating outside on the patio area.
Tried Bobboi Gelato in La Jolla and had a bit of a mixed experience at first. I sampled the charcoal vanilla and the dragon lemon, but honestly didn't love either of them, the flavors just didn't work for me. The charcoal vanilla was a bit powdery, and the dragon lemon was too tangy for my taste. Then I went with panettone and dark chocolate, and that combo was amazing. The panettone had such a rich, festive flavor with bits of cake, and the dark chocolate was deep, smooth, and not overly sweet. Together they balanced each other really well. Definitely a must-try combo.
I had Bobboi for the first time and it's so close to the cove! I had their chocolate hazelnut gelato and their stracciatella and it was good. The gelato here hits the spot for me since I wanted something cold and sweet. But flavor wise it was pretty light and wasn't all that rich. I've definitely had more rich and nice chocolatey ones.

Bobboi Natural Gelato is hands down one of my favorite places to get gelato in San Diego. The pistachio flavor is amazing--it tastes rich, creamy, and made with real pistachios instead of having that artificial almond-like flavor that some places have. My favorite combination is the pistachio with the coffee gelato. The two flavors complement each other perfectly and are a must-try if you're deciding between flavors. One thing that always makes me smile is that the gelato is stored in the classic stainless steel cylinder containers instead of being piled high in display cases. Maybe it's just me, but I always feel like that's a sign the gelato is going to be extra fresh and high quality The service was also great. Even when there was a line, everything moved quickly, and the staff were friendly and happy to offer recommendations if you weren't sure what to order. If you're in San Diego and craving authentic, creamy gelato, Bobboi is definitely worth the visit. I'll absolutely be coming back for that pistachio and coffee combo again. read more

! BEWARE OF SEAGULLS!!!!! Cute place we found on Yelp decided to come here to get some gelato after dinner and walk around with my cousin so we could catch up. Spent a little under 20 bucks for the two of us. We did in line between 10 to 15 minutes. Maybe staff was very organized and let us sample different flavors. Had fun picking out our flavors paid and got out of the shop. we started the walk down the hill to the grassy area of the park to watch the sunset, and one of us was attacked by a flock of seagulls and had one of our ice cream cups ripped out of her hands. Other person finish their ice cream and the person that had their ice cream Eaton want to go wait in line again to get another one. Only the line had grown wrapped around the building so we decided against it.. while walking around the park area we saw it happen to two other groups with both people attacked getting their ice cream knocked to the ground and eaten by seagulls. I've been to La Jolla a bunch of times and I've never seen the birds this aggressive. Next time I'll make sure to stand as close to the shop as possible to finish my ice cream before venturing out when there's so many birds around. read more
Such a cute little gelato shop in the cove! They let you sample the flavors! I got the small with rose honey and mediterraneo, and they paired so well together! I loved the pistachio flavor mixed with hazelnut for the mediterraneo and rose was just good :) It wasn't too sweet. Soo good! Small size was a perfect sized dessert to satisfy the sweet treat craving. Very limited seating, so don't plan for it. read more

Service was so fast, gelato was so refreshing, ambiance was great! We walked from the cove and wasn't too bad, line moved fast for a saturday afternoon. Watermelon, dragonfruit lemon, and quatroberry flavors were my favorite !! $7 for a small (two flavors) . read more

Came to this gelato shop after dinner because we wanted some dessert. We tasted a couple different flavors but ultimately settled on the Bacio and Salted Carmel. Bacio - This was a dark chocolate and hazelnut flavor and it was super delicious. It was a bit too sweet considering it is dark chocolate, but the flavors were complex. Salted Carmel - Perfect paired with the Bacio. It was a pretty salty flavor, more salty than most salted Carmel's I've had, but I actually loved it! Overall, such a cute gelato shop! Wasn't as creamy as I would have liked, but so many unique flavors! I would definitely come back. read more

Bobboi is amazing. Been here like 50 times and every time it's awesome. They have seasonal flavors and some stables. My personal favorite is Quattro berry and Dragon Lime. It's really good. The service here is great, the staff is kind. It's just a nice cozy little shop with outside seating but if you're here, you wanna enjoy it on a walk to the park. read more

This place is always popping around here! But I every time I come I get pretty disappointed by their flavors and options. Obviously one of the better places to go around here especially because it's right by the beach, however I think their flavors are inconsistent and fall flat. When they had their lavender flavors it was actually amazing but it's not often that I see it. Service is great and friendly and there's lots of street parking when available. read more
This tiny gelato shop sits right on top of the hill in La Jolla, just above the beach, which gave us a beautiful view of the water and a refreshing breeze while we waited. They had so many flavors to choose from, and our group had a great time sampling before deciding on our combos. The shop itself is very small with only a few outdoor seats on a little balcony area, but it adds to the charm. We went on Labor Day weekend, so the line was super long, but the staff worked quickly and efficiently to keep things moving. Customer service was excellent, everyone was friendly, helpful, and patient despite the crowds. All of us loved the flavors we picked, and the gelato was creamy, refreshing, and perfect for a hot day. It is a little on the pricey side, but we all felt it was worth it for the quality and the experience. I'd definitely stop by again when I'm in the area and craving something sweet, it's a perfect cool treat with a great view. read more

Very friendly and helpful staff who gave us many recommendations and allowed us to sample the flavors. It is a super popular place even at around 7:30pm and there was a line out the door. Very cute interior with just a few small tables outside. For the gelato flavors, most of the flavors I thought were just ok, but the one that stood out the most for me was the pistachio! Flavors we tried: - Pistachio del California: 5/5 - sweet with just a little hint of salty - Bacio: 4/5 - kinda like Nutella - Julian Apple Pie: 3/5 - Banaretto: 4/5 - I honestly liked this better than the apple pie flavor and I'm not even that huge of a fan of banana read more

My cousin and I have been ice cream and gelato shop hopping this summer. We were looking forward to trying this place out. The shop is clean and cute, with three patio tables overlooking the street. At the entrance to the shop was a staff member offering free tasting samples to passersby's. He was very friendly and helpful. The experience was very nice. The gelato was icier than the other gelato's that we've tasted around San Diego and Coronado. Located on a bustling walkable section of La Jolla Cove, Bobboi is scooping up some delectable gelato that is perfect to take with you as you stroll around the area. We tried out Bacio (dark chocolate and hazelnut), Pistacchio, Dark Chocolate Sorbet, and Pomegranate. Each flavor was absolute perfection and the texture was creamy, rich, and had a slightly chewy quality. My personal favorite was Pomegranate since it's such a rare flavor find! I have been a big Baccio gelato fan but Babboi might have them beat! Their pistachio was so good no artificial flavoring. The flavors are strong! The consistency was very nice. The workers were very sweet and patient letting us sample and decide what we wanted. There was a line but it moved quickly. No indoor seating but there was a small patio that had a nice view. We opted to walk a few blocks and enjoy sunset on the grass. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again! read more

Love going here at any season, they change the flavors of this unique gelato place that I love! My favorites are the Baci and the lavender honey gelato, which is smooth light and not overpowering which makes this gelato place unique. You can taste the freshness of this small batch made daily gelato. Often times there is a long line to wait in, but patiently wait your turn as you are able to taste the many flavors. The staff is friendly, patient and fast in serving. They were patient as my family wanted to taste the many flavors to make the right flavor choice for them..cute little place with some seating areas in front or walk to the park and take in the beautiful views. read more

A must try spot in La Jolla! Their gelato is so refreshing with bold and refreshing flavors- there is something for everyone! I loooovveee the dragon lemon and get it every time I go. They also have seasonal flavors like the lavender vanilla it is a must have when it is here! The service is incredible, they are quick and well versed in their flavors. I have never felt rushed when ordering no matter how long the line is. Only con: price- it's quite expensive but it's also La Jolla so what can ya do? read more
Besttttttt gelato ever!!!! I visited San Diego twice now and always have to visit this place whenever I'm in town. The reviews aren't kidding-- this is authentic Italian gelato!!! 1000/10 recommend- you have to stop by! I grabbed 2 pints for my bachelorette squad as well, and they all loved the flavors. I had to take mine to go and drive 30 minutes across town. I asked if they had a cooler bag and they were able to sell me one for five dollars which was great. Parking can be a bit tough but I luckily snagged street parking down the road. Service is very fast. There's often a line out the door, but it moves quickly and there are multiple service stations. They do allow samples, which is very kind. You don't feel rushed when you order! Apple Pay accepted. read more

It was 9:00pm and a chilly 60 degrees outside--definitely cold by Hawaii standards--but dessert was calling. We stumbled upon this little gem nearby and were pleasantly surprised to see a line out the door. Luckily, it moved quickly, and it turned out to be well worth the wait. My boyfriend went for the Stracciatella and Mediterraneo gelato in a waffle cone, while I opted for Bacio and Sweet Olive, also in a waffle cone. The Sweet Olive was a standout for me--creamy with a subtle hint of caramel that paired perfectly with the crunchy cone. My boyfriend couldn't even decide on a favorite; both of his choices were that good. If you're in the area before sunset, I highly recommend grabbing a cup or cone and strolling down to La Jolla Cove. It's the perfect spot to take in the view or simply relax and watch the sun dip below the horizon. Definitely a must-try if you're in town! read more
