An's is really popular and I can understand why! The line stretches out the door and it has only about 8 flavors that change every so often. They let you sample every flavor which is really nice and lets you be sure about the choice you make. I enjoyed the ice cream a lot too and the pricing was fair! I would come back.

Ripstop and merino in waffle cone

Finally stopped by An's Dry Cleaning and I have to say - this gelato is absolutely amazing. I came by Monday around 1pm and there were 5-6 people ahead of me, but very soon there were 20+ behind me out the door. Staff is SO friendly and patient, explaining all the flavors and what not. The menu is slightly confusing because it's not clear that the top names like "loafer" or "merino" are the flavors and the ingredients are listed below. But the workers were super kind enough to explain and offer samples. I ordered a cone with the Loafer and Ripstop flavor, it was a big cone and they FILL that thing up! You really get a lot of ice cream and they don't skimp. For $9, it's well worth the quantity alone. The cone itself is probably one of the best, if not "the" best waffle cone I've ever had. It was still warm, crispy, fresh, and had an amazing vanilla aroma and flavor. The two flavors were amazing on there own but here's why I just can't give a five star review. As great as the flavors are, they are pretty unique and out-of-ordinary for ice cream shops, so they don't pair too well together. I had initially also tried the merino and that was way too strong to balance with another flavor so I thought the Loafer and Ripstop (which the employee compared to a rocky road) would pair better. The merino has saffron and honeycomb which are pretty distinct flavors and stand out in the ice cream itself without even being paired with another flavor. So that just overpowered the ripstop. HOWEVER - both ice creams had tremendous flavor and they were so stretchy and creamy. The Merino was almost floral while the ripstop was hearty and had big pieces of brownie and marshmallow. Overall, a solidly amazing ice cream place I would happily return to.

I've had this place on my radar for quite a while. This Comic-Con trip was the opportunity to finally visit. They have a limited menu that seems to change frequently. They come up some really creative flavors that you just don't find anywhere else. All of their ice cream is gluten free. Even the waffle cones are gluten free as well. The workers are very pleasant and happy to let you sample the various flavors. I chose the Minky which is a blend of pineapple and coconut. I got my order in a cup which turned out to be a mistake. Both my wife and son got their orders on a cone and it seemed like they got a lot more ice cream than I did even though we all ordered the same size. I apologize for not including pictures but we had our ice cream in the car and in the heat we experienced, I don't believe the pictures would have done the ice cream justice. Very cool concept naming the shop after the business that preceded it. I may need to find a real dry cleaner after spilling drops of melted goodness on my shirt. Be warned that parking can be a real challenge in this area. If Friday at 2 PM was a pain, I imagine Saturday and Sunday must be atrocious.

I was really impressed with this ice cream spot! Came on a weekend after lunch and there was a bit of a line given the hot weather. It was worth the wait, really liked that you were able to sample all the flavors and that their flavors are unique. My favorite was the canvas but they were all great. Good high quality ice cream with great flavors and even better service. Definitely recommend giving this a try if you're in SD!

For overall experience and availability to try all ice cream samples I give it higher ratings! The ice cream is delicious but not extraordinary and if it's hot and sunny the line can get pretty long and annoying. Not much space to wait in line or sit down inside. Would still definitely come back especially since their flavors are constantly changing.

Really good gelato and ice cream, but I think this place gets its flowers because of the great service. We were lucky that it wasn't TOO busy when we were here, but it does take a while for the line to move. It's mostly because they let you taste all the flavors before deciding what to order. I did really enjoy the lemon and the lemon ginger sorbet flavors but I felt like you really can get these flavors at any artisan ice cream place. So, I went for the no signal, which was like a sticky toffee pudding flavor, and the cypress, like a chocolate brownie. Both flavors were amazing and very unique. However, this can be extremely rich. I would honestly go for the smallest cup possible because you'll be wanted to down water afterwards due to the richness. Love the theme with the dry cleaning and I really appreciate how the AC was blowing really strong on a hot day. Definitely a place to visit if you're around SD.

    Leather & Jusi
    Jenny C.

The line is almost always long, but it's because they let everyone sample all 8 (or so) flavors before ordering. The tasting moved so quickly that I felt like I couldn't fully process each flavor before moving on to the next. Everything started blending together, so none of the flavors really stood out to us. We felt pressured to order though because of how long we have been waiting in line HAHAHA. The ice cream itself was much better once we actually got our order. We ordered the Leather & Jusi, which is one of their rotating flavors and consisted of ube + black sesame. The Leather was super buttery and had just the right amount of sweetness, my favorite flavor at An's! I could not taste the ube flavor in Jusi as the black sesame flavor overpowered it, but it was still a solid flavor.

The line is down the street as we approach.

When we walked up about 10pm & saw the line was wrapped down the alley. Shortly after waiting, a staff member was giving out samples in the line. That was very nice. It tends to be a chill group of folks waiting so you feel safe even though it's late & dark out. Pros: - this ice-cream is the best, seriously - my friend tends to be lactose intolerant but didn't really have problems or upset their stomach with this particular ice cream, interestingly - they are very patient with you once inside - very friendly staff, even gave samples while we waited in line Cons: - the long line is tough , my back really started hurting while waiting

I hear about An's Dry Cleaning alllll the time, even when I'm not near San Diego. When I was in SD, I figured it was a good opportunity to go try it. I've been there twice now, and I was always satisfied each time :D As popular as they are, I surprisingly was able to avoid the line the first time I went, and the second time I was there, the line moved quite fast. The service is always great - they're always friendly and descriptive with the flavors. They recommend you try every flavor, which I think is great (: The shop itself is really cute, and I like how their theme matches the flavor names for the most part. Their decor also is quite matching. I loveeee their flavor leather :D They have seasonal flavors that pop up as well! I would definitely come back again whenever I'm in SD :) Thank you!

Ann's Ice Cream was such a fun and unique experience. I love that they offer six tastings and take time to explain each flavor and ingredient. When I visited, there was a line, and parking was a little tight, but honestly, it's totally worth it, especially if you're in the North Park area. Definitely a place I'd recommend stopping by, and I can't wait to go back and try more.

An's Dry Cleaning is amazing! Such an experience and the gelato really hits. The tasting tour is my favorite and I love how they provide that for customers. I love being able to sample all the flavors before committing to something. I normally just sample 2 flavors in order to prevent long wait a bit since it's part of their process, it was nice being able to take my time. The first time I came, I waited about 45 minutes in line but we figured the line must be long because the gelato was delicious. The second time I came, thankfully the wait was not even 5 minutes. I brought my friends for the first time and they also really enjoyed. The gelato is incredibly rich and creamy. They're also in those gelato tins and not the flashy display gelatos which indicates how legitimate they take their gelato. Highly highly recommend! I highly suggest checking their Instagram for their other locations and the flavors at each place!

June 2026: Creamy Ube packed gelato
    Jeff R.

Visit June 2026 A visit to any An's establishment is a visit to gelato heaven and An's Dry Cleaning is the one that started it all. An's gelato is sheer perfection. Creamy. Silky. Packed with flavor. Their creativity is mind blowing without being a "why on earth would you put that out" experience. This visit was the last day of the Ube menu celebrating Filipino culture and the line was hella long but worth the wait. I love the An's business model where you get a flavor tour starting with their palate cleanser. I hate having to go to a gelato shop and ask to sample with fear of judgment. Nope, you get to sample it all if you've never been to An's then that itself is a fun experience. The staff is also so friendly and patient which is amazing considering they probably go through a hundred flavor tours a day (and that might be underestimating.) There are always some standards "dry cleaning" themed flavors such as Leather (brown butter and chocolate chip cookies) and Cypress (super rich dark chocolate) but the Ube theme was ofc the highlight menu and they came up with some oh so masarap combinations. You're limited to two flavors for a cup and man it was difficult to choose. I got the "t'nalak" (which was Ube, honeycomb, and chocolate) and "tubaw" (which is Ube, Vietnamese coffee partnered from Saigon Coffee, and whipped cream). Damn right I put it in a waffle cone. And double damn right I got a pint of each on the way out. Dont judge. I'm in shape. It's oval but it's a shape. An's you folks are gelato geniuses.

This place was cute! There was a bit of a long line, but it was expected for its reputation. I enjoyed the sampling experience and the delicious flavors. I came at 3:20ish on a Saturday morning and waited like 25 minutes. While in line, we were given a ginger lime palette cleanser sorbet. Once we got there, we were given a little tour of their flavors. Each one was explained and given to my group. I chose Leather and Foulard. Both were delicious! I love an ice cream with texture, so I liked how the cookies were mixed in. They also had Linen which was really nice and fresh. Love the variety within their limited flavors. Overall great experience! Loved it as an SD tourist.

The shop itself is casual, with just a few seats inside and several tables outside. It's a great stop whether you're on a date, out with friends, or enjoying a family night in Little Italy. Definitely a five-star experience. I'll be back the next time I'm in San Diego.

I sampled Rose Almond (Lebanese Rose Water with Organic Almond Butter), Pure Watermelon and Stracciatella. The Rose Almond was fragrant, Pure Watermelon refreshing and Stracciatella was a classic. I chose Rose Almond and Stracciatella in a Piccolo cup which was perfect for me. The gelato was dense and delicious - I really enjoyed every bite of it. It was nice to be able to sit near the windows and people watch.

Bobboi Natural Gelato is hands down one of my favorite places to get gelato in San Diego. The…read morepistachio flavor is amazing--it tastes rich, creamy, and made with real pistachios instead of having that artificial almond-like flavor that some places have. My favorite combination is the pistachio with the coffee gelato. The two flavors complement each other perfectly and are a must-try if you're deciding between flavors. One thing that always makes me smile is that the gelato is stored in the classic stainless steel cylinder containers instead of being piled high in display cases. Maybe it's just me, but I always feel like that's a sign the gelato is going to be extra fresh and high quality The service was also great. Even when there was a line, everything moved quickly, and the staff were friendly and happy to offer recommendations if you weren't sure what to order. If you're in San Diego and craving authentic, creamy gelato, Bobboi is definitely worth the visit. I'll absolutely be coming back for that pistachio and coffee combo again.

! BEWARE OF SEAGULLS!!!!!…read more Cute place we found on Yelp decided to come here to get some gelato after dinner and walk around with my cousin so we could catch up. Spent a little under 20 bucks for the two of us. We did in line between 10 to 15 minutes. Maybe staff was very organized and let us sample different flavors. Had fun picking out our flavors paid and got out of the shop. we started the walk down the hill to the grassy area of the park to watch the sunset, and one of us was attacked by a flock of seagulls and had one of our ice cream cups ripped out of her hands. Other person finish their ice cream and the person that had their ice cream Eaton want to go wait in line again to get another one. Only the line had grown wrapped around the building so we decided against it.. while walking around the park area we saw it happen to two other groups with both people attacked getting their ice cream knocked to the ground and eaten by seagulls. I've been to La Jolla a bunch of times and I've never seen the birds this aggressive. Next time I'll make sure to stand as close to the shop as possible to finish my ice cream before venturing out when there's so many birds around.

Well shoooot I might like Gelato now. Definitely the best Gelato I've had. The line wasnt too crazy…read morewhen we got there (get ~45min before sunset then walk to the park cause after its looooong) and one scooper was moving it along fast while still doing the tour which was appreciated. Downside is the Gelato places around me aren't this good so still deferring to ice cream. Shout out to the random person on the bus that randomly found us approachable to start talking about all his fav food places and recommended this place (along with some others that held up). Ill call him the 101 foodie. Also they dont make hats from what I saw but they do have ones you can try on while in line once inside.

This place is super super cute and is by the same people as An's Dry Cleaning and An's Electronics!…read moreI absolutely love that they have their flavor tour which is where they give you a sample of every flavor they have. They also have very unique flavors and change it up every few weeks. My favorite flavor they had was when they had their Matcha collab with Paru Tea, and I believe they still bring the matcha flavor back sometimes! They definitely get really busy on the weekends (1-2 hour wait) so I recommend going on a weekday where I only had to wait 10 minutes! The pricing is a little pricy, but not too bad, especially for the quality and service they provide! I also definitely recommend going to their other stores too as they are all different themes. Free 1 hour parking garage!
