Elizabeth helped me more than I even knew I needed. For starters, she emotionally walked me through a devastating hot water leak that ruined my condo...after the rebuild was finally completed she came in fully prepared, never having come to the property. She worked with me remotely and completely understood what I was looking for. I must tell you, I am someone who is not good with change, and she eased me through what has become an extraordinary transformation in my home. Her furniture choices, color palate, her keen vintage shopping sense and her "roll up her sleeves" in a DIY way, when needed, blew my mind. I also have to mention that she is an amazing artist and was able to create beautiful pieces that are now mine forever.  She listens...understands...gives her reasons "why" and will NEVER insist on her way if you're feeling something else. She can lead and create an entire project and also leans in to collaborate when you have sentimental pieces. In fact, she loves that and helps make story around those pieces. I write this review while sitting in my beautifully decorated living room full of gratitude for Elizabeth Flaherty. I'm not sure I can find adequate words to convey just how amazing this experience was, but I will certainly try. The first things I noticed about Ms. Flaherty was her intelligence, energy and passion. We clicked immediately. Elizabeth was communicative, had a complete understanding of what I wanted and was very conscious of my budget. She poured over websites comparing items to get me the best price and passed on her designer discounts saving me a ton of money. (Out of curiosity, I calculated what I saved with these discounts and it basically covered her fees.) Elizabeth is a full service decorator/designer. When she initially told me that, I wasn't sure what she meant. But oh my gosh, do I know now. From finding contractors, interviewing more than one to find the best match, scheduling and confirming them to sending me calendar invites so I knew who to expect and when on any given day. She is meticulous in her craft. Making sure everything is centered exactly and that no ugly cords or wires are seen. She comes prepared and then some. But Elizabeth's true talent is not all the above mentioned things. No, her talent lies in her ability to pour her heart and soul into your project. By the end of it you truly feel as though your best friend just decorated your house. And let me be clear- you will want to be her best friend when it's all said and done. Elizabeth turned my house into a home. It was as if she climbed into my mind and could see everything I wanted then took that and created an even better result. To say it was magic would diminish her hard work but that's kind of how it feels. To sum it up, look no further. Hire this woman. You will not regret it. I've seen and experienced many of Elizabeth's beautiful interior decorating. What I've decided is that her greatest talent seems to be her ability to see colors( most of us cannot) and match them perfectly. As an example she chooses a comforter or quilt or bedspread and then will layer it with other contrasting patterns and colors like blankets and pillows that are strikingly elegant. However I love black and white and she'll mix up different designs and patterns with black and white as well; she's just GOOD! I appreciate her talent in finding items for a bargain and utilizing them to give the room unique eye catching creations of art. She is a perfectionist when it comes to hanging art work, placing furniture or hanging drapes or curtains or any window covers. It's the attention to details of her staging that make her exceptional. She is a true artist ; if she suggests something LISTEN to her. Shes not only an interior decorator but an accomplished painter. I love many of her pieces. Stop what you're doing and hire Elizabeth right now! We hired Elizabeth to update our home as it was in need of a giant facelift. In our first phone call with her we knew she would be perfect for this job. She was engaging and confident and we immediately hit it off. When she came to the house for our first in-person visit she had so many creative ideas and suggestions and we loved ALL of them! She told us we needed to paint our walls (the one thing we said we weren't going to do) and she was right! She helped us pick a perfect color after really listening to what we were hoping for in terms of wanting to create a light yet warm feeling throughout our house. She even went to multiple paint stores in one day to get enough samples to make sure we were happy with the end result. Time and time again, throughout this project, Elizabeth has rolled up her sleeves and gotten to work. From staining a table herself because she wasn't happy with the colors offered to reupholstering a bench for us she is EXTREMELY talented and giving of her time. Elizabeth has very high standards and is meticulous in her work. She picked beautiful color combinations for our rugs, art work and accessories based on what she learned about us in this process. She valued what we value in such a beautiful way. Our fireplace room (pictured in this review) as we call it has been absolutely transformed into a beautiful, peaceful place to sit and visit with friends or enjoy a cozy night in with our family. One of the super cool things Elizabeth does is her room reveal where she sets everything up and surprises you with the finished product. When we saw our finished space I can say we literally LOVED every single choice she made. We were in awe at how she could have even made our room look as good as she did, like how was this even our house! She is AMAZING, truly. It is evident that Elizabeth get's just as much joy and satisfaction out of transforming spaces as her clients do.
