This is a pub with good food featuring really good pizza. The worst thing I can say about New York Pizza is you can get takeout pizza faster elsewhere but not better and on weekends you will wait to be seated if dining in. Me and the husband stopped here after a trip to Logee's. I am a pizza lover, love eating it and making it! We were greeted right away, decided to eat in dining room instead of the bar area, everywhere looked nice and clean and the staff is friendly. We liked the way when you come in you can see the pizzas being made. They were playing some good classic rock at just the right volume, good enough to hear and enjoy but not so loud that you can't hear each other or the server talking. We ordered the fried pickles, it was a big serving we thought, but we did ask for a second dipping sauce which was brought right to us no problem. For pizza we ordered the Bronx, really good choice! The bacon on it had just a hint of sweet so I'm thinking maple bacon which complimented the whole flavor scheme going on. The crust was the best! It's hard to find a good thin but chewy yet crispy crust, and how thin they get it is spot on! My husband grew up in New York and always comments that he can never find a real New York style pizza here, well now we found you guys and we will definitely be returning and telling others about you! Thin crust, crispy, very very good pizza. I've tried almost all of the pizza places around here and this is by far the best around and it's not even close. We looked around for a pizza place that also had wings and decided on NYP, nothing like Upstate NY where they have pizza and wings specials, nothing special with this place. Anyway, we ordered a large pepperoni pizza with half of it added mushrooms, with an order of 20 wings (10 plain and the other 10 pineapple/jalapeños. First off the pizza was thin, I liked that had a nice thick crust collar, but very little sauce on it, the pepperoni on it curled up like little cups and had grease sitting in them, typical when you use the tiny pepperonis. The wings were crispy like we wanted but the whole meal especially the wings were extremely salty, it was like eating a salt lick. We even called to ask if they brined their wings before hand, but they do not, didn't offer an apology or even credit on our next order, not that we'll be ordering from there again. It was truly disgusting. No way near being good as true New York pizza. Plus, very pricey 1 large pizza and 20 wings was just a few cents under $60. Very pricey. "Filled to the gills" is an accurate description of how I left this restaurant on the afternoon of February 18, 2024. I had never been here before that day, and I am pleased to give this place a chance. Short version: I decided to be bold, so I opted for the Fried Luigi burger, with red onions and a fried egg. (Yep, you read that right.) Ohhh man, this burger is good!! I love finding food trucks and restaurants that have tasty burgers, Anyway, my nephew requested we sit in the room with the TV's, and I did not object. For an appetizer, we collectively opted for the nachos and cheese dip, which were nothing short of delicious. I said, "I wish I was an octopus with two heads and a second stomach!" I wanted to snarf down everything on my plate, it was sooo darn good!! It's five smiles all around for this place, and I hope I have the good fortune to return again in the future. Went for an early dinner with a friend (his recommendation). Friendly greeting and offered our choice of a seat in the bar or dining room (went with dining room). Waitress came right over for our drink order and, since my friend was making the choices, we went with the "Inferno" pie. We were referred to this place when people found out my husband was from NY City. Everyone was so friendly from the time we walked in till we left. We had a great waitress who was very out going. We ordered the BLT pizza which was amazing. Would have never thought about putting mayo and lettuce on a pizza but it did not disappoint. We also tried the Korean BBQ egg rolls. Those were really good. They had a little kick to them but didn't kill the flavor of the egg roll. You guys made these Rhode Islanders very happy with your food. Meh I feel Ike I'm missing something because the pizza my wife and I got just wasn't good and it was seriously undercooked. We specifically asked for a well done pizza and didn't get it. The pizza they have at the front counter to buy by the slice was cooked better. Second issue is that they supposedly have craft beer but the selection is pretty poor. Their pizza is some of the best around! The staff is friendly and efficient. The overall vibe of the place is warm and comfortable. The only thing that drives me crazy about this place is their hours. This place used to be open late, and it was great. Now I can hardly recommend it anymore because their hours are pretty restrictive. It has become more of a lunch place which is not what this town needs. I've come back here a few times over the past couple of months, and I'm happy to say that it looks like my previous experience with them wasn't the normal experience. As of this review, there's only two reasons that I'm not giving them five stars. First, the pepperoni. Not only do they use this weird, tiny pepperoni, but they barely put any of it on the pizza. If you want a normal amount of pepperoni, you have to order extra pepperoni. Second, the mozzarella sticks. Holy cow these things are disgusting. Instead of mozzarella STICKS, they have mozzarella PATTIES, and they're so bad I could only eat one of them before throwing the rest away. tl;dr the pizza is great, the mozzarella sticks are garbage, and order extra of whatever topping you get. read more

I was on my way home from RI and it was around 6pm so i decided to go to this place since i was about 2 hrs away from home anyway. The place is nice inside and the ppl are great, the girl that greet me once i walked in was nice the one that took me to my table was nice the one cleaning the table she was also nice lol. They stop serving pizza by the slice by the time i got there so i decided to stay and order a pie, boy im glad i did i order a Large cheese pie and it was just beautiful and the way i wanted it. Very big slices but thin like i was hoping the sauce was delicious and even had a small piece of tomato in he box that tells me is not a can sauce at least it didnt tasted like it. The cheese was melting and it was HOT and the smell was so appetizing, they know how to make pizza here but the only thing i wish it was a bit different was the crust it need it to be a tiny bit more crunchy for me but besides that the pizza was a 9 out of 10 for me. I almost eat the whole pie sitting there, i only took 3 slices back home.To bad is 1hr and 1/2 from were i live other wise this would have been my pizza joint. Being from western CT I've grown up surrounded by great NY Pizza. Having been in the Eastern CT area for about 3 years my biggest complaint has been the pizza. They're all Greek style, thick, cut into squares and lacking in flavor. Then comes New York pizza, throwing aside all of the insults I've had regarding pizza in the area. I've been here a couple times and every time has been delicious. Pizza is nice and thin (thin enough you have to fold it). Sauce is flavorful and you get the occasional chunk of garlic! They have a great selection of beers, about 30 on tap. I noticed a lot of yelpers complaining that the beer prices are too high, while yes they may be high for the area you need to realize that the majority of beers on tap are craft beers from surrounding towns and states. Supporting local businesses and real ingredients is worth the price in my opinion. You have your choice of the bar area or the dining room, I've only sat in the bar which has a nice relaxed feel with many TVs at the bar. Service is polite and quick! I would honestly say this is the best pizza in the area. read more

So I town traveling and happened on to this place, the building looked to be a former railroad tavern and brothel back in the 1800 been updated since the but history still intact. Great selection of CT beers on tap many different types, down fall no local beers. For me that's a strike as the only reason to visit a non brewery tap room is for locals. Now to the pizza again its NY style which is bit different then local Greek style pizza. With that said, it arrived like warm and cooled very quickly afterwards, good news did not burn the roof of my mouth. Sauce not very impressed lacked flavor and thickness. Again this is my personal opinion. Crust was good if your in to thin crust, again not Greek style. Now for the big strike 2 toppings were not home cooked, from food vendor major turn off in my book. Let me start this off by saying I have loved and followed NYP throughout all of their moves. The new location is PHENOMENAL. I was immediately impressed by the large and lively bar area. I love the decorations and the vibe of the place. The set up is more like 3 separate rooms (bar area, reception area, dining area with booths) vs a giant open floor plan. The food has always been amazing. This is absolutely the best ny style pizza you can get anywhere in the area. Think thin crust, real tomatoes in the sauce, and an amazing garlic flavor that I have not gotten from any other pizza. Definitely go for pizza ... but stay for a massive draft menu, full bar, and daily specials. I would also recommend wraps with fries and grinders. Yummmmm Super impressed with the new place! I really liked NYC Pizza and would order pizza from them almost every week BUT for about the last month I noticed they changed their cheese! Their pizza used to be so good, but they either changed their cheese supplier or decided to put way too much cheese on their pizza making this congealed horrible mess. Did anyone else notice this change? This is a recent development. Maybe the last three or four visits I noticed this change. Today is may 20th. About a month or two ago I would have said this is the best pizza in killingly.... A+ but the sudden change in pizza cheese quality I have to say it's down to about a B- or C+! The new cheese is that bad. Please go back to your old supplier or old recipe or get back your old cook! what ever you were doing a month ago please go back to that! All that said.... it's still probably the best pizza in Danielson. The crust and the sauce are fantastic! I would highly recommend the inferno and the no kiss tonight pizza if they just went back to the way the cheese used to be! I have been getting pizza from them since December 2019... The only reason I didn't rate them a 1 is because the appetizer was good and the waitress was really nice. Last night we ordered a pizza and they served it to us with the crust burned to a black charcoal. We were told it was just the edges. We agreed to accept it since we were in a hurry and they said underneath was not burned. By the time we were half way through eating it the bottom on one side was burned, the plate and table were covered with black charcoal soot. It was burnt through to the middle. It was the worst pizza I have ever eaten and could not finish eating it because the plate and table was covered with black charcoal soot. It was also suppose to have extra cheese and sausage-neither could be found. We asked for the manager and told her we could not believe we were being charged full price for this meal and she told us it was too bad because we accepted it and ate all but 2 pieces.I told her that you were going to lose a customer and she didn't seem to care. She finally agreed to give us 2.30 off. This is our second bad experience there. Last time we thought they were just having a bad night, but clearly this is becoming the norm. The management clearly doesn't care about losing business or taking care of their customers. I will never go there again and we are local to the place. read more
