While staying at Ocean Place with family, we wanted to go somewhere fairly nice for dinner. Looking at the different Yelp reviews, as well as talking with some locals, we decided on Sirena. So happy we decided to come here as it was terrific! We asked to be seated outside and we were promptly accommodated. Our service was absolutely top-notch and the food scrumptious! We started with a platter of charcuterie and cheese, which was gorgeously presented for our table of six. We enjoyed a couple of beverages, a Negroni for me. My drink was absolutely top-notch! I decided on having their Caesar salad while my wife wanted the smaller portion of spaghetti Bolognese. Other dishes at the table included the raviolis, gluten-free pasta, and gnocchi. I did not hear a complaint one. My Caesar salad was absolutely top-notch and the bite I had of my wife's spaghetti Bolognese was delicious! Stopped back in for another dinner. I tried the pappardelle bolognese sauce. This was another great dish from this place. I haven't gone wrong on either visit. Sauce had good flavor and the pasta was cooked right. Service was great as before. When I come back here will be stopping in again. We haven't been here since Covid shut everything down. We loved the happy hour, the food and the beautiful bar so tonight we finally ventured back. Excited with our seats at 5 pm that gave a clear view of the ocean, we settled in to this large, accommodating bar that only had 5 people seated at 5 pm on this Wednesday night. There were two bartenders working at the bar that clearly hadn't been wiped down in I don't know how long. The bar top as far as my eyes could see was absolutely filthy. Honestly, we should have left because I was so turned off. I don't know why we stayed- perhaps it was the day I had...I just wanted to sit and look at the ocean. Anyway, I'd honestly skip this place and give anywhere else a try. We had 3 drinks and 3 apps. The wine was good. Just go somewhere else. That's my review. Went to Long Branch on a day trip, and went to Sirena for lunch. Such a nice classy place overlooking the beach. We ordered a bunch of stuff to share 1. Pizza was great! 2. Pasta: this was the Sunday special. Came with lots of meat. The sausage was phenomenal, the short rib was tender! Such a good hearty dish 3. Mussels: this was also pretty good. Must eat with bread. Loved the spicy sausage with it for some kick 4. Salad: pretty good, though the dressing tasted a bit off hmm could have been better 5. Bread pudding: omg this was so good. Banana bread pudding. Yum Overall, the food at Sirena was pretty good! Would honestly say even better than other places in Manhattan! Also so much more worth it and great value for money. Would definitely come back! I cancelled my reservation 24 hours in advance, making a good-faith effort, but was still charged $250 due to the restaurant's 72-hour cancellation policy. When I called to cancel, there was no mention of the cancellation charge, and the 72-hour policy is only mentioned in the small print. The manager refused to make any exceptions or work with me, and my follow-up emails were ignored. Strict enforcement without flexibility for genuine efforts is frustrating and disappointing. Management should reconsider how they handle reasonable situations like this. Beware. read more

Best bolognese I ever had. But today I also tried the cavatelle with lamb and Ricotta, which was perfectly blended. Not too lamb-y, the ricotta was properly portioned, the cavatelle was cooked perfectly to be tender and hold up to the softness of rest of the dish. This was a treat. read more

Usually the food is good but there are some dishes that lack love. Saddened to see this low-effort dish on Sirena's menu. So much can be done here with properly trained staff. These so-called Tuscan Potatoes are an abomination. The potatoes are clearly soaked/deep fried (most likely in canola or seed oil), until unrecognizable with salt, parsley and cheese thrown on them. Nothing about them resembles Tuscany. The result is a burned-oil flavored, and greasy potato. You guys can do better. read more

We had a lovely table by the window with a view of the ocean and the fireplace- which was welcome in the frigid weather. The service was attentive and friendly. We shared the burrata appetizer which was delicious. For entrees I had the chicken scarpariello which was perfectly cooked and my husband had the papardelle bolognese which he also enjoyed. Fries hard as sticks, chicken tenders extremely dry, past very overcooked. $17 dollars each "kids meal". The skill of the kitchen staff does not match what they're charging for their dishes. Sirena is always a great time. So delicious and fresh. My review is from August and today. In August I got the frito misto and the orreciete, both were delicious. The service is always fast and accommodating. I appreciated the bread at the beginning of the meal and they leave a jar of water on the table which is nice because I drink a lot of water. Second dining experience with Sirena, I visited this weekend for Jersey Shore Restaurant Week. The food at Sirena is very well prepared. Service can be lackadaisical at times. The frito misto is wonderful as the is the spicy tomato sauce that accompanies it. My daughter raved about their pasta fagioli. The meatballs and mussel appetizers were executed flawlessly as was their Tiramisu. I don't think there is a bad choice on the menu. Drinks are pricing but include a heavy pour. This is the second time I've been to the restaurant and the second time I've been underwhelmed. The hostess didn't acknowledge us for well over an acceptable time and the waiter was a lost cause. The bartender is great. I've had no problems there. The food is what's lacking. Last time I had the meatballs and they weren't great. Today I tried the crispy brussel sprouts and the pasta fagioli. The brussel were burnt and there was no pasta in the PASTA fagioli. I was shocked that they really tried to pass off a bowl of beans, with a few pieces of spinach and one tiny piece of pancetta as this classic Italian soup. The only reason I gave them 2 stars.
